Draft:Great Fire of Troy

Have you thought of expanding the article using information from the Troy Irish Genealogical Society website (extracted from Troy's One Hundred Years 1789-1889) or the Troy Historical Marker or the New York Almanac?? Dan arndt (talk) 01:07, 4 October 2022 (UTC)

I'm actually using all of these right now to expand the article. RPI2026F1 (talk) 01:10, 4 October 2022 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Saint Ambrose School (Latham, New York)

Hello, RPI2026F1, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username TheAafi, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Saint Ambrose School (Latham, New York), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saint Ambrose School (Latham, New York).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|TheAafi}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Query

Hello, RPI2026F1,

You have only been editing for a week. How did you learn about Twinkle and nominating articles for deletion at AFD? Did you edit here under other usernames? You don't act like a new editor at all. Since you are such a new editor, I wouldn't give advice to other editors on what to do, like you did on that IP's talk page. You are still learning yourself. Liz Read! Talk! 03:02, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

I spent the first few days tinkering around with the gadgets page. I figured out what Twinkle is by clicking each option and trying to guess it’s behavior from all the small question marks. RPI2026F1 (talk) 03:05, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

Also, I noticed a lot of recent changes had twinkle on them as a tag so I figured it did a lot of useful things since it was everywhere. RPI2026F1 (talk) 03:06, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

Exocentric storage moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Exocentric storage, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:47, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

@Hey man im josh Ok, why was my stub moved to draftspace, and not a similar article on Exocentric environment? At least my stub had references, the similar article has no references and when Googling it I found that basically every other site copied the unreferenced Wikipedia definition. Tagging pages for speedy deletion

Hello, RPI2026F1,

You are a very new editor and I don't think you have enough experience to be tagging pages for deletion right now. For example, CSD G1 is for Patent nonsense. Pages consisting purely of incoherent text or gibberish with no meaningful content or history. So if a page have sentences with words and you can understand it, then it is not gibberish. Gibberish is for pages with "kewni3920kdn#(P" on them.

Deleting User pages or draft articles is a serious business. Doing so can cause a new editor to stop editing and leave the project. So, there must always be a good reason for a page deletion that makes the deletion necessary, it isn't a matter of just using Twinkle to tag pages that are poorly written or that don't look useful to you. That is why we have Criteria for Speedy Deletion which lay out the acceptable criteria for a page to be speedy deleted. They are specific and quite limited, on purpose. With pages that are not obviously vandalism, copyright violations, attack pages or advertising (and a key word here is "obviously"), then a Proposed deletion or a nomination at Articles for Deletion is more appropriate.

Also, we allow more leeway in Draft space. Pages that would be unacceptable in main space are fine in Draft or User space because they are the namespaces where editors can practice their editing and work on articles over time. There are few reasons that require pages in these namespaces to face swift deletion (they are the "G" reasons only, not "A" reasons). For example, drafts don't need to have references, they can be poorly written and they don't have to even be in English and that is okay. That's why I try to encourage editors that want to patrol, instead of, say, improve articles, to focus on the main space rather than Draft space. Readers will not encounter pages in Draft space so we don't have to worry about mistakes or errors like we do in main space.

If you are interested in patrolling, when you have more experience editing, you should consider volunteering for the New Pages Patrol since that seems to be your focus right now. But the Guild of Copy Editors also always needs help and that would involve fixing article typos and help improve your writing skills. We always need competent, enthusiastic editors, it's just important to take your time, learn the relevant policy and not go overboard. If you have questions about any of this, pleae bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:44, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

Alright, I have may gotten very overenthusiastic about the tagging of new pages. I figured out how to calibrate recent changes so it only showed me possible garbage pages, and so I was basically going through every item and nominating everything that wasn't an actual attempt at an article. I realized I need to cool down, so I might switch gears to focus more on updating references and fixing typos like earlier. RPI2026F1 (talk) 23:09, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

Slavery in Afghanistan discussion

Hello! I do not have the energy to continue the discussion on Slavery in Afghanistan, since it appears we are going no were: the User Minahatithan do not appear to understand what the concept of being baised is, and is also rude, in my view. I do not have the energy to continue when I have already tried to explain this to them several times without success. I will leave it to you; but may I suggest, that it would perhaps be a good thing to prevent Minahatithan from editing further on this article. He/she simply does not seem to be able to understand what being biased is and continue to insist in their right to baised editing on the article. I´m afraid I have no further energy for it, but of course I still dont want the article to be subject to biased editing. Best gretings, --Aciram (talk) 19:33, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

@Aciram: I think this requires an intervention from an uninvolved party. Maybe Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents would be a good place to start? RPI2026F1 (talk) 19:36, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
I will leave this to you, but I would not protest to such a thing. To be honest, this is now less about the specific issue (I hardly remember it by now). The main problem for me, is that this person whish to edit this article from a biased point of view; to protect the "honor" or reputation" of a certain ethnic group or country. They do not understand that this is an incorrect principle to begin with. This is their viewpoint, and they appear to assume that this viewpoint is shared by others, and thus they will meet oponents with the assumption that the oponent is also editing from a viewpoint of ethnic bias. This is the biggest problem for me, and because of this attitude, which is repeated in almost every post, I cant view the person as a suitable editor of the article. I think that the article should simply be left alone by them, since they do not appear to understand this issue. I would have asked for this person to be blocked from editing the article until further notice, because their argumentation on the discussion page of the article demonstrate that they have a biased view and persist in this attitude. That is what I would see as ideal. This can be seen by anyone simply reading the discussion page of the article, since they demonstrate this attitude in every post they make. I have little time to give this issue, disregarding the fact that I am also simply tired of trying to explain this to them, since I have done so several times without success. --Aciram (talk) 20:29, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
They have, I see, again posted talk about honor and dishonor and shame, which has no place at all when discussion why something should be in an article or not. This is a much bigger problem, as I see it, than the specific issue. It is truly tiring.--Aciram (talk) 20:35, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
Hi, I am sorry to bother you again, but I am afraid the same user seem to have begun edit warring in the article again. In my view this user have such a strong bias to the subject of the article that they should simply be prevented from editing it. They have made very clear on the discussion page that they wish to edit the article from the viewpoint of honor, dishonor and the reputation of an ethnic group, and despite numerous explanations to them that this is bias, they simply do not seem to understand it. It seems they must be stopped from editing the article. --Aciram (talk) 15:13, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
Well if they continue undoing edits then they're going to get banned again. They already were banned once on the same article so it'll probably be a whole month the second time. RPI2026F1 (talk) 15:22, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
I understand. Then its time for that block now, because they have just done it again, it seems. It should be reverted, but I have not done so, in the thought that maybe its not my place.--Aciram (talk) 19:32, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
I'll take care of it. RPI2026F1 (talk) 19:38, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
@Aciram his most recent edit just deduplicated sources, it looks totally harmless to me. RPI2026F1 (talk) 19:42, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
I see. That´s fine then, if they didnt actually change anything. I am afraid I dont have much good faith in the user´s credibility due to their stated motivations on the discussion page. Thank you for being oservant.--Aciram (talk) 21:29, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
I would be careful with comments like these. No offense, but if I was on the receiving end, I would read something like this and say "look at this, he's slandering me". RPI2026F1 (talk) 22:30, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
Not a "he" in my case, but I understand, and you are correct. Perhaps it would be enough to just say that the discussion and statements made on the discussion page make me feel that I am not the right person to continue it. I do not feel I have the time, nor the patience, to continue it, given the argumentation, and perhaps it is then better to retire from it rather than for it to develop in to a long drawn out discussion. I do not have the energy necessary. That was the reason of my last statement on the article talk page, and I suppose it is a good thing to know yourself well enough for that. In short: I do not believe I have the time, the patience, the energy, or the motivation to continue this conflict. I have an assignment to finnish in my real life as well, so perhaps it is indeed best to just leave this matter, disagreable as it might be. The discussion is there for all to see, and that should be enough. --Aciram (talk) 00:58, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
I understand and don't blame you. I honestly think a third party desperately needs to intervene. RPI2026F1 (talk) 01:20, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for your understanding, and I agree with you completely. After a bit of rest I did post a comment in the Dispute resolution noticeboard. I felt I should at least explain myself, since it had already opened. I can´t promise to participate further, but perhaps that did some good. I have stated that there are facts in the article I wish to keep and that there are references for them, and linked more references. I don´t see that there are anything more I can do. --Aciram (talk) 20:55, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
The same user have appeared again in the same article... Perhaps he should simply be blocked from editing the article because of bias? Are there a way to ask Wikipedia for this? That he is bias is stated more or less openly by him in the first discussion in the discussion page of the article: he openly states that he is Hazara, that he considers it dishonorable to mention that Hazara were enslaved, and questions everything about Hazara slavery in the article. The bias should be clear. Because of this, it should be fairly obvious and non-controversial to block him from the article for reasons of bias? It is so obvious that I should not even be in trouble for saying so. Perhaps this should be the best solution? It seems he is well capable of keep doing this for twenty years, and blocking him from editing this particular article out of bias should be a constructive solution. I have no patience or energy to keep arguing with him, and have said so openly on the discussion page. I am sorry for bothering you with this subject again, but since I sense I have no patience for it anymore, I thought I should at least dra attention to it to someone who might know something to do about it. My best regards --Aciram (talk) 15:06, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
I am so tired and unwilling to think about this, please go to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents and report it there. Probably link his earlier ban and the DRN case. RPI2026F1 (talk) 15:12, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
I understand, we feel the same way. I am tempted to just let the user do whatever they want because it is exhausting to deal with them, but it also feels wrong. I spend most of my time in wikipedia just writing articles, so I don't know much about reporting things, and how to go about it. Perhaps you can recomend a user who knows how to deal with biased users and how to block them? If the user was blocked from editing this article because of bias then the whole matter could be finnally just put to rest. But I understand if you don't want to have anything further to do with it. If you can recomend a user with knowledge about how these things work, please feel free to do so, otherwise I understand if you want nothing more to do with it. Best regards--Aciram (talk) 19:23, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
Hello, I just wanted to let you know, that the user has now been blocked from edititing the article due to breaking the NPOW, after I did what you suggested. Thank you very much for the advice! Regards--Aciram (talk) 13:57, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
Yea, that should hopefully be the end of the saga. There should never have been a reason to talk this much about such an obvious refusal to play by the rules. RPI2026F1 (talk) 14:02, 12 November 2022 (UTC)

Fred Trump

By your logic the burden of proof was on the original contributor to justify its inclusion in the article. Did that ever happen?

Furthermore, The citations aren't in dispute. What is in dispute is the need for a large physical appearance section on someone who lived in an era with photography--especially someone with many ready available photographs to veiw. Any subjective opinion published about his appearance where there are photographs in existence is completely unwarranted. If other contributors feel a physical appearance section is warranted, then it needs to adherence to an objective standard that supports a its necessity. It doesn't take much imagination to see how this would work. If the information cannot be observed via photograph and isn't hearsay, it is eligible for inclusion in the article.

In this particular instance, over two thirds of the article is dedicated to describing the appearance of a man whose picture is right next to the section. Short of his height, Childhood hair color, and a qualitative description of his hair color none of this thinly veiled propaganda has anything to with providing you information about his appearance.

For example,

and that it was said that "Fred would rise just a little on his toes" to look taller when taking pictures with Donald.

What on Earth does Fred Trump's insecurity about his son's height have to do with Fred Trump's physical appearance as such? The article already mentions he was 6 feet tall. If contributors feel his son's height is somehow relevant to Fred Trump's appearance (it's not) then it should either be stated objectively in this article without editorialization or the reader should use their own initiative to find out what Donald Trump's Height is by other means.

I could continue but I hope this sufficiency proves the point. And I don't think a compromise on including those features list above is out of line but this section, at least in it's current iteration needs to go. 66.76.193.27 (talk) 16:13, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

I'm saying it's stupid but there needs to be a good way to figure out what bits of information are worthwhile to move to some other part of the article and what should be deleted. RPI2026F1 (talk) 16:37, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
I completely agree. What are your thoughts about the metric I mentioned in the previous post? 66.76.193.27 (talk) 18:20, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
I can leave section there, keep the non subjective non extraneous (describing someone's jaw?) information about Fred Trump's physical appearance. 66.76.193.27 (talk) 18:21, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

Mass revert at They Were Expendible

Yeo, User RPI2026F1, you need to not be so triggerhappy with your new edit/rollback privileges and carefully examine and evaluate edits before summarily reverting them. This not only is very bad form on your part, it serves to chase away the tender new users the encyclopedia depends on. As you once were, not so very long ago. How long would you have stayed being treated that way?

(Don't make me report you to RPI! (Insert humor icon here.) If you are talented enough to get in there you have boatloads in reserve to employ actually assessing new edits rather than summarily reverting them. Good luck from here on out.) 2601:196:181:BE00:E102:4EFB:8DC:D9D0 (talk) 17:36, 11 December 2022 (UTC)

Yes - but only after leaving this one here - and replying there. The perils of the same thread ending up split between two Talk pages. Let's not let it induce any grief for us.
You are a student in computer science at one of the top scientific schools in the nation. Nobody, absolutely nobody, needs to have better command of language than a computer programmer - both spoken and written language, and machine language.
Everybody else, they can hem and haw, use a malaprop, homophone, or metonym, say "Er" and "Uh" all they want. Clear their throat to buy for time, and everyone, poets and playrights on up to Presidents and Popes gets a do-over most all the time. "What I meant to say is...." Computer programmers, one false comma, one false letter, one unintended space, a program goes haywire. There is no acceptable misuse of the language. You'll be amazed how much better your English will be when you get your diploma in 2026.
Good luck getting up to that podium, and in using your degree to good effect ever-after.2601:196:181:BE00:E102:4EFB:8DC:D9D0 (talk)

you seem to be very defensive when asked about having other accounts, and i would like to ask, why? im not accusing you of anything,i am just wondering cheers!~ ItsMeKeys (talk) 19:14, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

I don't like to be accused of something like sockpuppeting, because it's like claiming that someone "maybe plagiarized" on a college essay in that it has significant consequences if it turns out to be true. Also, I don't like having to keep on defending myself, and this is true even on social forums like Reddit or on chat platforms like Discord. RPI2026F1 (talk) 19:16, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
that does make a lot of sense, and i would most likely be frusterated as well if i was accused of sock puppeting.anyways, have a nice day(also, congrats on getting into that college, it takes a lot of work to get into collage.) cheers!~ ItsMeKeys (talk) 19:19, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

Rollback

Hi RPI2026F1. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY 21:19, 13 December 2022 (UTC)

Hello RPI, RemoveRedSky over here with a barnstar. I've noticed your contributions to the wiki, and I would like to thank you for reverting vandalism when possible. You even beat me to a revert recently, most likely possible because of your Rollback feature. Enjoy your second barnstar! :) / Best regards, RemoveRedSky / (u) (t) 02:22, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
Thanks! Huggle is so much faster for dealing with an onslaught of vandalism than Twinkle lol RPI2026F1 (talk) 02:24, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
Hey RPI, not the IRS, but the RRS (RemoveRedSky) person coming back for a reply. You're welcome for the barnstar, and thanks for your recommendation of the service Huggle. I'm gonna have to try both Twinkle and Huggle out and see which one works best for me. / Best regards, RemoveRedSky / (u) (t) 02:27, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
You need rollback for Huggle. RPI2026F1 (talk) 02:27, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

Clan MacEwen

Dear Sir / Madam,

I take great exception to the table being removed from the Clan MacEwen wiki page. The external links were to the Clan's official website or to already established Wikipedia pages. The table took some considerable time to create and your action without prior discussion is most inconsiderate and profoundly inconvenient. I would be interested in learning which of the links you found to be inappropriate and why.

Kind Regards

Clan MacEwen AnDarach (talk) 15:13, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

Good morning. From the diff, I saw a heavy number of external links, and since Wikipedia doesn't use many external links except for sources, I thought that this might have been an attempted spam edit and reverted it. If you think I made a mistake, you can undo my revert. Thanks. RPI2026F1 (talk) 15:51, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

Accrediting Commission of Career Colleges and Schools

Hello!

I am working with the director of ACCSC who wanted to more accurately represent the organization here on Wikipedia. I admit to being new to edits, so my apologies for not adequately justifying the changes. The claims on the current page are not representative of the organization and several citations/links are to opinion essays rather than accurate and fact-checked sources. What is the best course of action for making these changes with the necessary justification. 216.136.14.162 (talk) 18:36, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

If you are with the organization, that is a clear WP:COI. Ask further in the WP:TEAHOUSE please. RPI2026F1 (talk) 18:38, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
Thank you! I will do that. I appreciate your help. 216.136.14.162 (talk) 18:41, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

AFD participation

Hello, RPI2026F1,

If you wish to participate in article deletion discussion, please take them seriously. Don't just offer your first impression of an article, you need to carefully examine the sources present in the article and even look at resources available through Wikipedia or other website archives, like local newspaper sites, for additional sources that can be used to improve the article. Ground your article evaluation in Wikipedia policies. If you want your opinion to be taken seriously and not dismissed, you need to do your homework, not just give your opinion of the current state of an article.

Look through AFDs and see the level of participation and contribution given by more experienced editors and try to follow their example. Offering a comment like "Not notable" and nothing else, will cause discussion closers to not take you seriously as a discussion participant. If you think this is too time-consuming for you or requires more knowledge about Wikipedia policy than you currently have, then perhaps you should wait a while before diving into deletion discussions. Just something to consider. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:39, 16 December 2022 (UTC)

I thought it was determined by the number of votes, and I don't have the time to thoroughly review every single deletion article candidate when there's like 60 per day. How am I supposed to comment all of them if I have to spend more than a few minutes on each? RPI2026F1 (talk) 01:46, 16 December 2022 (UTC)

Preventing vandalism?

Greetings, RPI2026F1! I hope you are well. Considering our good and successful collaboration we had at the article Slavery in Afghanistan, I was wondering if you could perhaps give me an advice about the article Huda Sha'arawi. The User RETFrog has been removing a well referenced piece of information from the article. The incident were Huda Sha'arawi toor of her veil and was greeted by applause by women who followed her example is an iconic event in Egyptian feminism, and as you can see, it has several references. Despite this, the RETFrog have been targeting and removing it from the article. Their stated reason for doing so appears to be just a long speech that Egyptian women love the veil and that it is biased to claim otherwise. I have already warned the user. But I am a little afraid that this user are in danger of becoming just as difficult to deal with as the user at the article Slavery in Afghanistan. I do not want to deal with that again. Is there a way to nip this in the bud, so to speak? My best greetings, --Aciram (talk) 02:12, 17 December 2022 (UTC)

@Aciram First of all, have they broken the 3 revert rule already? You can report them if they have. RPI2026F1 (talk) 02:14, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
Otherwise, you probably want to go through the dispute resolution board again. One can hope that this editor isn't as sporadic as the last one. RPI2026F1 (talk) 02:23, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
Not yet. When they removed the information the first time, I reverted it, noticed it did indeed lack references, and added a bunch (its a famous event so references are not hard to find). When the user reverted the information again, with the same reasons given in bot the summary and at the talk page, I reverted it with even more references and warned them in the summary and at the talk page. Experience tell me this is a user that may revert a third time. They behave very similar to the earlier user. If they do, where should I report them? Preferably where I can avoid having to participate in endless discussions? --Aciram (talk) 02:26, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
There’s a notice board for 3 revert rule violations specifically. You can report them there. RPI2026F1 (talk) 02:32, 17 December 2022 (UTC)

Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:39, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
@Blaze Wolf There are really no sources about it other than MapCarta/OpenStreetMap/etc, real estate websites, and local businesses in the area. I'm not sure from where I'm supposed to pull out sources that doesn't exist. RPI2026F1 (talk) 17:41, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
If there aren't any sources then it might not be notable. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:42, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
It's an area that exists, and there's a reference to it on the wiki page for Agno, Ticino. However, according to WP:GEOLAND, " Populated, legally recognized places are typically presumed to be notable, even if their population is very low". Does that include even if no sources exist? RPI2026F1 (talk) 17:45, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
Actually upon further investigation it seems to be more like a neighborhood more than it's own area. I assume neighborhoods are not allowed on Wikipedia? RPI2026F1 (talk) 17:47, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
Neighborhoods may not be inherently notable and need sourcing that GEOLAND requires more. Please finish it before resubmitting. There is no rush. Star Mississippi 18:02, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
Many neighborhoods have been so much the subjects of reports in Reliable Sources, that a WP article is easy. Examples include Greenwich Village and Mission District. Some have skimpy references and can support a paragraph in an article of broader scope. Thus far, this one seems to have none at all. It won't get anywhere without good citations. Jim.henderson (talk) 23:44, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
It's unfortunate because it's an unimportant place in a whole town of 4000 people in Switzerland. RPI2026F1 (talk) 00:56, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
Worth discussing in the town and creating a redirect for anyone looking for the info? Star Mississippi 02:29, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
Probably. Mapcarta did not list the town it was part of otherwise I would have considered a redirect there. RPI2026F1 (talk) 03:07, 17 December 2022 (UTC)

Why did you change my edit?

Why did you change my edit? 188.31.121.214 (talk) 19:18, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

This edit introduced a reference error, and so I thought it was vandalism since introducing the error was the only thing accomplished by the edit. RPI2026F1 (talk) 19:19, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

Quis Afi discogwhatever

Your CSD tag for a history merge seemed at odds with your CSD on the misspelled article for A7. As Draft:Quis_Afi seems to pass A7, I just fixed the cut/paste.

…and of course as I was writing this the author moved that draft to article space. Cyrius| 01:04, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

I looked at his edit history and noticed that he was trying to fix a typo, so I tag that first. Then I investigate a red link and see that his new article has 0 references plus the draft of the person the list article is about was rejected and also has 0 references, so I tagged that article next. 120.21.174.47 (talk) 22:37, 25 December 2022 (UTC)

@120.21.174.47 can you explain how it's relevant in any way to the content of the article? RPI2026F1 (talk) 22:39, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
You do not need to label each alternate spelling with a link to spelling differences, that's redundant. RPI2026F1 (talk) 22:40, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
So you didn't think it vandalism, but you treated it as such. Read WP:ROLLBACK — you must not use such tools for disagreements in content. You're at risk of an ANI request for your permission to be removed. 120.21.174.47 (talk) 22:44, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
It initially seemed like vandalism to me. Once I saw your message on the talk page, I decided to investigate the edit further and arrived at the conclusion above. RPI2026F1 (talk) 22:46, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
