Ikepod didn't go into bankruptcy. In the contrary, they went into "bankruptcy protection" to prevent the company to go bankrupt.

Hello CAPTAIN RAJU, I am Eugene, I was working for Ikepod since 2003, And to this day, to a certain part, I am still working for Ikepod. Regarding Ikepod watch company. A lot of people keep telling the world that Ikepod went bankrupt or into bankruptcy. Even manager who used to work for the new Ikepod company. Until today I am not exactly sure why. Because they are quite wrong. Ikepod went into "Swiss Bankruptcy Protection" in 2003, to prevent bankruptcy! In 2005 Ikepod was taken over by the new owner. As you can see under Ref 4. I added Ref 3. for the definition of bankruptcy protection. I hope you can see now why I made the change. I am not exactly sure about your involvement regarding Ikepod and that definition. But if you changed back my changes, obviously you must have some interest in it. It would be nice if you could explain it to me. Thank you very much. Kind Regards. Recent changes

  • You can now edit pages on the mobile site version without JavaScript. [1]
  • You can now use the Math extension to write chemistry formulas. [2]

Problems

  • A few editors might have been logged in as someone else because of a bug. For security reasons everyone was logged out on 9 February. If you have seen this bug, you can report it. [3][4]

Changes this week

  • There is a beta feature that adds links to the subject on other Wikimedia projects. The plan was to have it leave beta testing and be enabled for everyone in January. It will happen on 16 February instead. Wikis that don't want this can decide to have it disabled. [5][6]
  • Cross-wiki notifications will be available as a beta feature on Wikidata, MediaWiki, Commons, and all Hebrew and French wikis on 19 February. [7]
  • The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 16 February. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 17 February. It will be on all wikis from 18 February (calendar).

Meetings

  • You can join the next meeting with the VisualEditor team. During the meeting, you can tell developers which bugs you think are the most important. The meeting will be on 16 February at 20:00 (UTC). See how to join.

Future changes

  • The search function on Wikimedia wikis will get a completion suggester that tries to find the right pages as the user is typing. It will also recognize some typos. This will probably happen in March. It is currently in beta. [8]

Prizes/awards have not been finalized still. These are the current ideas:

  1. A special barnstar will be given to all the participants who will create or expand articles during this edit-a-thon;
  2. GI special postcards may be sent to successful participants;
  3. A selected number of Book voucher/Flipkart/Amazon coupons will be given to the editors who performed exceptionally during this edit-a-thon.

Train-a-Wikipedian

We also want to inform you about the program Train-a-Wikipedian. It is an empowerment program where groom Wikipedians and help them to become better editors. This trainings will mostly be online, we may conduct offline workshops/sessions as well. More than 10 editors from 5 Indic-language Wikipedias have already joined the program. Bevel gear misspell

Hey, so I made an edit to "bevel gears" page, and on that page they have a section for miter gears, and my correction was reversed. Hello Captain,

This is regarding the new policy change at wikipedia. The edit comparision in terms of version history is not as visibly available to any user, as was previously the case. Hence, an informed judgement cannot be made regarding the edit...thereby reducing the efficacy and meaning of the message. Relevant version history wikilinks are a necessity.

I simply am in no position to comment without a comparision especially with regards to the ownership and worthiness or receiving the message.

Hence, this is a general policy query/note with regards to the new edit comparision free system.

Also, I noticed your page with the Union Jack and I presume you would doubtlessly support Standard English (incorrect these days) spelling and a separate wiki for it like as is the case for Simple English and Brazilian Portuguese.

I do reali's'e that entertaining such a request could possibly mean an eventual call for a wikip'a'edia (Enciclopedia Libre Universal en Español etc.) ...but my intent is simply to resolve the present flux between various pages all across the world's(not American/ASCII based alone) first collaborative encyclop'a'edia through a simple computable binary choice/freedom, left to the user.

Otherwise, it is not standardi's'ed as it should be and becomes prone to allegations of bias or prejudice. Mohun Bagan Kit

Well, I think the jerseys and kits are far away from reality except the present one and the 1889 one. I am not exactly sure how to design a jersey myself, so I used the closest possible options available on templates and wikimedia commons. Werner Mauss Article

Hi,

Sorry, I am new to editing wikipedia so I did not know. I thought the article was heavily one-sided and praising Werner Mauss rather than sticking to referenceable facts. Moreover, most of the references used are just Werner Mauss' own website which is hardly a credible source. Therefore, I have removed most non-cited sections. Removed any agrandizing language and have linked the page to some of Werner's scandals such as the kidnapping of Brigitte Schoene.

That's the one you keep putting back on my Wiki page. I don't really care what picture is on the page -- there are so many out there -- except for that one. I'd prefer no picture at all. I'd prefer a photo of an iguana. Recent changes

  • Thanks to the Graph extension and Pageview API, we now have {{Graph:PageViews}} templates that can show pageviews for any wiki page for any of the wikis. See the examples.
  • The Capiunto extension is installed on test wiki. Capiunto provides flexible infobox functionality for Scribunto and generates HTML for infobox features such as headers and rows. It is designed for clean and modern infoboxes that are driven by data from Wikidata, easily usable across different language versions, and easily extensible.
  • The visual editor now follows the TemplateData format setting announced in November. When you edit or add a use of a template, the wikitext will be laid out in one of the two ways. [14][15]
  • The order of parameters and format defined in a template's TemplateData will be now respected. [16][17]

Changes this week

  • On wikis where the visual editor is available in single edit tab mode, red links may open the visual editor instead of the wikitext editor, depending on user preferences. [18]
  • Anonymous editor warning is now displayed as a warningbox for consistency in both the visual editor and the wikitext editor. [19]
  • Parsoid has been updated to fit some HTML 5 specifications. [20]
