@Universal Constants: I don't want to revert you again, so please make your edit less confusing. Even I who edit in this field don't really understand much of what you have added. First off, could you please be consistent with the spelling? What is Atouria? I'm assuming it's the same as Ator? (a name which seemingly isn't even WP:COMMONNAME, so please avoid using it, and also read the link pls). And what is the Sasanian province of Asoristan including the Church of the East, which came maanyy centuries later, doing in the lead? --HistoryofIran (talk) 23:02, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Atouria is what the classical authors write regarding the Persian provinces. Ator and Athura are what the province was referred to in Church records. The Sassanian province of Asôristan and the Church are where the seat at Ctesiphon are. Scholars misconstrued the Classical authors that state “Atouria”; which is listed under Adiabene; itself being a Parthian State, and equated Arbela with Atouria. All the names are linked, and are listed in order of subsequence. I’ll be adding an Arabic reference as well to clarify that the location of Mosul is was actually referred to as Athur. This is the same references made by the Church and in Sassanian inscriptions as well. Universal Constants (talk) 00:41, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Universal Constants: There is no need for all of that, that's not how you write in an encyclopedia. This is about Achaemenid Assyria, not every era of Assyria and its cities or whatever. Please stop adding unnecessary confusing stuff, especially in the lead, which is supposed to be a resume of the article as a whole. Articles are supposed to be reader friendly. Please use some time to read the guidelines (including Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section) and looking at Wikipedia:Good articles to get an idea of how articles should look. --HistoryofIran (talk) 00:45, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
