Wikipedia:WikiHunter

A WikiHunter is a Wikipedian who devotes their time to tracking, hunting and killing sick or wounded articles who do not contribute to the herd, as well as exterminating invasive species. They will also sometimes euthanize formerly healthy articles that are in poor condition.

Behavior[edit]

WikiHunters usually hunt alone. However, they may work together. A WikiHunter Scout targets an article, after which WikiHunter Pro will then kill the article. They also hunt pesky rabbits that can sometimes damage the articles, as well as other nuisances like weasels.

WikiHunters will also sometimes butcher (but not WikiButcher) articles into their choicest cuts, or render them down into useful redirects.

WikiPoachers[edit]

WikiHunters that hunt for personal glory and amusement, rather than keeping the WikiEcosystem balanced, are called WikiPoachers. Fortunately, they rarely get very far due to their behavior being easy to spot, and are quickly caught by WikiWardens.

Identification[edit]

WikiHunters like to show off their trophies of deleted articles. However, WikiHunters who want userboxes can use this template. Apply {{wikihunter}} on your userpage for the userbox.
