Hercules episode articles[edit]

You moved two episode articles from "… (Hercules)" to "… (Hercules episode)". The MOS guidelines says that a article name should be as simple as possible, if the article with the name of episode itself is free, then you use that; if not, you add the name of the show between parentheses; and if for some reason that isn't free either (for example character name is the same as the episode title), then you use (show name episode). For all intense and purpose you move was counter standardization. Xeworlebi (tc) 16:23, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, but I realized that after the move. The problem I encountered was that, out of all the Hercules episodes, there were:
25 with no parentheticals
7 with (Hercules)
23 with (Hercules episode)
1 with (Hercules:Legendary Journey episode)
I had thought the best solution would be to migrate the 8 without (Hercules episode) to match, but then saw the standard in the MOS and stopped... which meant moving the 24 others (plus the 2 I moved) to the MOS standard (Hercules). Am hoping to do that today. Jrh7925 (talk) 18:50, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Technically the show is called Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, so by MOS guidelines they should be renamed to "… [(Hercules: The Legendary Journeys [episode])]", I did a couple of moves when I cleaned up the episode list in the beginning of January. But got discouraged after finding out that nearly all episode articles are named so and that every episode article has at least two links that should be changed after the move; previous and next. Xeworlebi (tc) 19:40, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
True, and not to mention listings on the actors/actresses pages. I found a few of them as well. I felt a bit discouraged too, but I can make those moves and fix the links. Jrh7925 (talk) 19:49, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Could you explain the speedy deletion request of Rocket Racer (Spider-Man: 1994 TV series)? I'm unsure what's being moved and why the redirect is being deleted? Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 17:00, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I had requested the removal of Rocket Racer (Spider-Man: 1994 TV series) just as a form of cleanup. Basically, when all the episode articles for the Spider-Man animated series were created, they were all created with the format Episode Name (Spider-Man: The Animated Series). However, there began a debate about the true name of the series; that it was simply Spider-Man. However, over the time some of the episode names were moved, and some weren't, which resulted in episode names resembling Episode Name (Spider-Man: The Animated Series), Episode Name (Spider-Man episode), and Episode Name (Spider-Man). Because of these multiple moves, there were a ton of broken links all over the place, and there were (and still are) a number of redirects in place.
I fixed the links, and moved all applicable episodes of the series to Episode Name (Spider-Man) per the MoS.
This lone episode, however, was once moved to a unique format: Episode Name (Spider-Man: 1994 TV series). Since nothing linked to this redirect, and it fit no other format, I'd hoped to do at least a minor housekeeping to kill this redirect.
It probably will cause no concern if it stays. I was just hoping to cut down the mess of redirects by 1. Jrh7925 (talk) 22:48, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Jrh7925! Looks like the redirect has already been deleted, but I really appreciate the explanation. Happy Editing! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 23:33, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He-man and COPS[edit]

I am trying to clean up some of He-man and COPS related articles at wiki television project. [1]. I am also cleaning up the C.O.P.S. cartoon articles if you are interested such as Barricade (C.O.P.S.). Dwanyewest (talk) 15:44, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have been looking at the C.O.P.S. entries, and am definitely interested in helping clean-up. I know a bit about C.O.P.S., but not so much on He-Man. Let me know what you want me to tackle and I'll look at it. Jrh7925 (talk) 09:05, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

When you nominated Johnny Yuma (C.O.P.S.) it inspired me to sort out the rest of the COPS articles Baldwin P. "Bulletproof" Vess is in need of urgent attention if you are interested! Dwanyewest (talk) 10:11, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you put the merge tag on this page. Okip 21:56, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer granted[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. –xenotalk 18:09, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
