ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:30, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

[Wikidata] Weekly Summary #605

A pie for amazing Mixing n Matching!

Thanks for expanding and linking the data for the DCALB list - so many more women to work on! Lajmmoore (talk) 13:06, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

Nectarine's not my fave fruit - but that pie does look very fabulous! And it's lovely of you to take the trouble to send it. I should do more thanking people. I'd already been doing some DCALB mixing and matching - it's a fantastic source - and the WiR discussion provided a good opportunity to fast-forward the remaining women there. I've only ever been a manual Mix-n-Match user, though. The next step would be to upload lists for others to work on. SusunW suggested Prominent Personalities in the USSR, which I took a look at but would need some pre-processing to get the name list which might be a bit ambitious as my first effort. If you can suggest any lists to go into the Mix-n-Match hopper, then do let me know! Dsp13 (talk) 13:21, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for Thanks!

It was a joy to see some of my articles getting thanks. I've just completed a run of 365 women so I'm elated. Happy New Year Victuallers (talk) 11:58, 1 January 2024 (UTC)

Your 365 is inspirational! Happy New Year to you too. I have high hopes that 2024 will see two milestones: over 400K women bios on en-wp, and over 20% of bios being women. (I remember in 2018 over-optimistically hoping that this might happen in 2020, but better late than never!) Dsp13 (talk) 13:42, 1 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello, Dsp13,
This category will continue to show up on the Empty Categories lists to be tagged for being empty until you tag it with an empty categories tag. Just add {{emptycat}} on the page and the bots will ignore it. This tag is on most WikiProject pages that are typically empty. Please do so or it could very well be tagged again. Thank you. Liz Read!
