Biographies of women

Hi there, Dsp13. I'm pleased to see you continue to write biographies of women and that the four most recent are more detailed, reaching a Start-class rating. I thought I would see what you have been doing as yesterday I received your thanks for several of my new articles. It's always good to see that other contributors are taking an interest in what I have been doing. I don't create as many articles as I used to as I now spend more of my time trying to encourage other contributors. But now that Women in Red is focusing on women in politics, I noticed there were are few Danes who deserve attention -- so I'll no doubt be creating a few more this month. In any case, keep up the good work and let me know if ever you think I can be of assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 07:04, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

Thanks very much for this kind note! I don't create as many articles as I used to, either - but you've encouraged me to have a go at some more :) Often stubs, I'm afraid - particularly where the person is from the Global South, where sources are scant, but I hope better than nothing. I'm concerned about underlinking to women, so occasionally have a go at trying to improve that situation. I notice that sportspeople and politicians are relatively over-provided with NavBox templates, which skew the linking stats - I don't think this aspect of underlinking matters much to humans, but it may have effects for machine measures of the importance of pages. Thanks for all the effort you put into encouraging other contributors. It's much appreciated. Dsp13 (talk) 22:27, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello Dsp13 -- Just a heads up that an IP is trying to delete this article without notifying you. I declined an A7 but they have now prodded it. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 14:58, 25 November 2023 (UTC)

thanks for the ping. Not 100% sure about notability without being able to read Arabic, but whatever systemic bias we have doesn't tend to benefit women from MENA, so I tend to lean more to inclusivity in these cases. Dsp13 (talk) 17:33, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
