Please reconsider. The block is not a reason to leave WP and you do an incredible amount of good work here. MBisanz talk 01:50, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I did considered this since one month and I came to the conclusion, that it is more stressful than it's worth. Therefore I retire. I don't say I will never return, but I don't see it currently. Armbrust, B.Ed. Let's talkabout my edits? 01:55, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You know I really do agree with MBisanz that you do good work on Wikipedia, regardless of the events from earlier today, and I think the project would be worse off without you around. It would make me feel like I had done a disservice to the project if I'm the one causing you to retire, and if that is the case you have my sincerest apologies. If there's anything that I can do that would make you more inclined to stay just say so and I'd be more than willing to consider it. Ks0stm (TCGE) 02:10, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
My first reaction after getting the notice the edit-war was reported, was to change my status to offline, because I knew that I could be block in any minute. There was no doubt that I will be blocked. The block is completely justified. Yeah it was good there, but it looks I can't change. Four blocks for edit-warring in the last two and I think, only a matter of time before I reach the indefinite block anyway. Armbrust, B.Ed. Let's talkabout my edits? 02:23, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is nothing to think about. I decided to retire. Partly due to off-wiki circumstances. I'm just a 27 year old unemployed virgin, who has never had a girlfriend, because I spend too much of my time before the computer. I'm volunteering to a snooker results website since July 2011 as "ScoreKeeper Admin" and I like it better as it consumes lesser from my time. And this is the bottom line, 'cause Armbrust said so. Obviously things got out of control last night, Armbrust, which is a shame. The snooker season is almost over so I think you should take a break, and if you decide to return next season then we'd love to have you back. I've always considered you an exceptional editor and you will be a loss to the Snooker Project, but ultimately you have to do what is right for you. I'm leaving too Armbrust

I haven't got the energy to go into it but if you want to know the details see Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Admin refusing to participate in dispute resolution. I want you to know something: You are the best editor I have ever come across in my entire time here, I mean you were the snooker project. Wikipedia was lucky to have you and stupid to lose you. Some people said some horrible things to you on the world championship article and they shouldn't have done, they were really unfair to you. Just look at how everyone on your page admires and respects you. For whatever reason you picked the snooker project and your articles were dazzling works of art, there simply wasn't a better snooker resource out there. Unfortunately there are people on here who have different motives, they enjoy the mind games and the control and I now fully understand why Wikipedia is not the place for a man like you. Ariana Grande Debut Single Put Your Hearts Up

Dear Armbrust, my name is Rlg000raz. I have been in the middle of creating a wiki page for Ariana Grande's debut single "Put Your Hearts Up". I have gathered 2 references, one of which was the songs charting position. I ask that you approve of this because every single that has charted somewhere needs a page, no matter how high or how low the charting position is. I'm not sure if this will help, but if would like to see the page go to Rlg000raz's sandbox where it is at. This would be my first Wiki page that I am trying to create. It is a work in progress, but to me it's a great start. It's a great page for a great single for a great person. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Rlg000raz — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rlg000raz (talkcontribs) 14:32, 12 May 2012‎

I have to say, that one reliable source isn't enough to create an article about a single. Per WP:NOYT Youtube isn't a reliable source. The relevant guideline for singles is WP:NALBUMS, which say, that "a single is an officially released recording by a notable musician or ensemble is not by itself reason for a standalone article", and that a "single requires its own notability", also there needs to multiple third party reliable sources which discuss the topic in order for the single to satisfy the general notability guideline. Can you draft up a revision for your Archive 10?

Hello Armbrust. At RFPP you asked that somebody fix up links to archived discussion in your fully protected Archive 10. I am likely to make mistakes doing that. Could you draft up a revision of your Archive 10, for example in User:Armbrust/Sandbox? Then I could swap that in under full protection and the page history would be intact. As an alternative, you might consider asking for the full protection to be lifted. Since that material is no longer on your current talk page it seems unlikely to me that anyone would think of editing there. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 15:18, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

 Done at User:Armbrust/Sandbox. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 15:24, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There was a problem in User:Armbrust/Sandbox. In your Sandbox version, did you see all the red print that says 'Expansion depth limit exceeded'? I tried to fix it by removing {{atn}}, but then I replaced your Archive 10 and I put the {{atn}} back, and it seems to work. EdJohnston (talk) 03:27, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I think the problem was because the User:Armbrust/Sandbox doesn't have a number at the end of the pages title. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 11:01, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Armbrust, my name is Rlg000raz. I ask that you make a full Wiki page for "Put Your Hearts Up". No direct links, a full page. There are singles that have no charting positions either, but they still have Wiki pages. Whatever "Put Your Hearts Up" is missing on its Wiki page, I ask you add it. I don't know how to vote on Wikipedia, but I my vote goes for keeping the "Put Your Hearts Up" page. Ariana Grande is well known around the world and deserves to have a page for her debut single. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rlg000raz (talkcontribs) 20:13, 16 May 2012‎

Hello Armbrust, It looks like the work you did to update the file StarWarsMoviePoster1977.jpg also deleted the file from the Tom Jung article - The file update is great/was long overdue - Could you replace the file in the Tom Jung article? Thanks, Jobrjobr —Preceding undated comment added 23:31, 20 May 2012‎.

The file was removed from the article, because the description page of the image doesn't contain a non-free rationale. But according to the Non-free content criteria "a separate, specific non-free use rationale for each use of the item" is needed. If you can add a non-free rationale to the file description page, than feel free to add the image back. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 23:44, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Armbrust there was a fair use rationale/no issues with the image in the Tom Jung article until the new file was uploaded for the Star Wars Episode IV article - I guess a fair use rationale needed to also be created for the Tom Jung article when the file was uploaded - I see now that you were not the one to upload the new version - Should the editor that uploaded the file be the one to create the fair use rationale for the Tom Jung article? Jobrjobr —Preceding undated comment added 01:42, 21 May 2012.
The file only had a rationale, because the original rationale on the description page for Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope was incorrectly modified by you. The {{Non-free use rationale poster}} template only supports one article parameter and thus after the modification, the file didn't have a rationale to be used for the film article. This is also the case for File:Papillon ver1.jpg (uploaded to be used on the Papillon (film) article and incorrectly modified by you) and File:School for Scoundrels.gif (uploaded to be used on the School for Scoundrels (1960 film) article and incorrectly modified by you), because the {{Non-free use rationale}} template has also only one article parameter. I have removed the incorrectly added redundant parameters and removed the pictures from the article. Of course you can try to add valid non-free rationales to the description pages, but I think these can't be done in accordance to the non-free content criteria and I probably take the images to non-free content review. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 09:10, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
What is the procedure to apply fair use rationale for an image that is in more than one article - Simply copy and paste in another for the 2nd article - Jobrjobr —Preceding undated comment added 23:32, 21 May 2012‎.
You have to write one to the description page of the image. For how you should do these read Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. Of course if the rationale does not satisfy the non-free content criteria, than the use of the image will undergo a non-free content review, where the decision could be made to remove the image from the article. (I think they certainly will fail WP:NFCC#8.) Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 10:52, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tom Jung article

Armbrust not sure why you removed files from the Tom Jung article and then have three additional files tagged for deletion. These images were referenced in the article - This person is a film poster artist and the images are relevant to his history - He has over 200 credits and these images provide continuity/tell the story of how his talent/career developed. His "Gone With The Wind" art does not belong/increase the readers understanding of this artist? Jobrjobr — Preceding undated comment added 01:57, 21 May 2012

For the removed images see previous section. At the nomination of the files I bring the following two arguments:
  1. "the presence of the image does not significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would not be detrimental to that understanding" - Two of the pictures are beside a selective list of his illustrations and graphic design, which should be enough to convey, that the subject of the article is a film poster artist and there is non need for non-free images to illustrate this. The third image is in the lead, but has no purpose there.
  2. "article also lacks any sourced critical commentary about the image" - Non of the the picture has any sourced critical commentary about them in the article, and thus they only function as illustrations. I don't question, that the posters were created by Tom Jung, but without sourced critical commentary they shouldn't be used on the article.
Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 09:25, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
-The subject of the article is Tom Jung - A visual artist.
The iconic Raiders key art image helps to define for the reader the career of the artist - Specifically his involvement in many of the largest box office films created during his career - The image is referenced twice in the article. The images related to the select illustrations and graphic designs chart provide continuity by showing the development of the visual artist - Reading left to right, from early in his career using caricatures, to working as an art director and hiring illustrators to finalize his concepts/designs to working as a freelance artist creating concepts, designs and illustrations of films like Lord of the Rings. These images are all referenced in the article.
All of these images significantly increase the readers understanding of the subject - Tom Jung. These images were created by a visual artist/Tom Jung/the subject of the article - These are not images that need to be tied to the subject through commentary - The connection should be/is obvious to readers - Additional commentary would be redundant and just add unnecessary volume to what I believe is a fairly concise article. Note that these images are sourced from online sites as well as The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Library. Jobrjobr —Preceding undated comment added 00:21, 22 May 2012‎.
I think the images are unnecessary as they have no contextual significance on this article. Seeing the posters doesn't enhance the reader understanding to the topic, as the article already contains to pictures. BTW this discussion with me has no effect on the files for deletion discussion. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 10:57, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is a screnshot fully created by me on my computer. I think it's fair use. Please guide me in this matter.--Napsync (talk) 09:03, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes the image is fair use, but that also means it "is allowed only in articles (not disambiguation pages), and only in article namespace" according to the ninth non-free content criteria. Thus you can't place any non-free content on any other page (including you user page). Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 09:37, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Help wanted

Hi Armbrust, I am writing with reference to your request to reduce the size of the logo I've added onto an article. Please give me some time because I am still an un-confirmed user here, as I am new here! Perhaps, you could give me a bit of guidance here or do me a little favor by reducing the size of the logo and update the article with the logo in the correct size? Thank you very much and nice to meet you here. Sachreeko (talk) 10:27, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is nothing wrong with the use of the image on the article. Every non-free image should have lesser than 160,000 pixels, which means that File:ARCTIC (computer cooling) logo.png with a 1,340×666 resolution has to be reduced to a 549×273 resolution image. Now I know the problem is the size of the original logo, however, the logo was not originally uploaded by myself, I thought there's no way I can adjust the size of it, or can I? Besides, would you know when I can become a confirmed user? Thanks again! Sachreeko (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 11:02, 22 May 2012‎.
I have uploaded the logo after a request at Files for upload. You can only upload images if you became autoconfirmed, also your account is four days old and made ten edits. Currently your account will become autoconfirmed after 08:39, 25 May 2012. If you can't wait, than you can request to become a confirmed user at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Confirmed. There you have to give a reason, why you request confirmed rights. (Before requesting, however, I would strongly recommend to read Wikipedia:Copyrights and Wikipedia:Image use policy.) Hello Armbrust, i see you are one of the most active and well experienced users working on the Wikipedia:Files for upload. I know the basic policies, guidelines and procedures for working with files and i thought that i could give a helping hand and work on this area as this will reduce the burden :). I already have the file mover user right and have renamed many files and quite experienced in that. As it will just be a beginning for me to work i would like to have coordination, collaboration and support with you and everyone else working at WP:FFU so that everything runs smoothly. Regards. TheGeneralUser (talk) 09:32, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good to hear, although the workload nowadays isn't quite a burden (like in March 2011). The best way to follow is to upload as many images as possible. I mean for if for example a user requests that a logo uploaded under CC-BY-3.0 or a crest under public domain, but the license in the request is clearly invalid, than you should consider uploading the image as a non-free file (for example as a non-free logo or as a non-free symbol). Also please if you upload a file, which was requested at WP:FFU, than add {{subst:WPAFCF}} to the talk page of the file. Regards, Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 10:02, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I think you may have misunderstood this discussion which you moved to "Opposed nominations at full discussion" at Speedy CFD. See To others: Don't treat this as an objection to the RfSD. This is me asking FL their opinion : ) - jc37 12:17, 25 May 2012 (UTC) It seems to me that the nominated category renaming was not opposed. There was a side discussion about "Vehicles introduced in...", but explicitly no objection to the rename of the nominated Category:Aircraft by era. – Fayenatic London (talk) 21:33, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

2 Fragen

Hallo Armbrust, beim Artikel 1951 World Snooker Championship hast du den Abschnitt "Notes" wieder eingefügt. Gruß --LezFraniak (talk) 19:16, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 19:28, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Danke für die Erklärung. Zum Datum Maximum Break #10: Info habe ich von WP:de. Sollte wohl stimmen. Gruß --LezFraniak (talk) 20:27, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 20:37, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 20:45, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Gruß --LezFraniak (talk) 21:05, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
1. (</ref name="Hugo Kastner (2011 - Spieler, Regeln und Rekorde">).
2.^ Referenzfehler: Ungültiger <ref>-Tag; es wurde kein Text für das Ref mit dem Namen Global_Snooker_.282010_-_Max_Files.29 angegeben.
Konnte es aber nicht richten. Schau doch noch mal vorbei. Gruß --LezFraniak (talk) 21:25, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Armbrust, I reverted your edit of the Constellation Energy logo as the new logo you put up is actually that of the logo of the new Constellation subsidiary. This new Constellation subsidiary is the former Constellation NewEnergy business of Constellation Energy, but is not Constellation Energy itself which does not exist anymore after the merger with Exelon (confusing right?). As you might know already, Constellation Energy was the parent company of Constellation NewEnergy (merchant energy sales), Constellation Generation (power generation), Constellation Commodities Group (energy trading), and BGE (regulated utility). As a result of the merger with Exelon, three of the remaining businesses transferred over to Exelon with Constellation NewEnergy remaining a separate subsidiary rebranded as Constellation. Hopefully that clears up the confusion. TheLou75 (talk) 04:45, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Have no idea, and to be honest it doesn't matter to me. I only uploaded the logo because it was requested at Wikipedia:Files for upload. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 09:12, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move of User talk:Theoa/Threejs

Hi Armbrust, thank you for looking at the Threejs draft. You quite rightfully pointed out that I was requesting a new article. I should have written the request as: User:Theoa/ThreejsUser:Theoa/Three.js. My bad. Sorry to waste your time. In any case, I am now beginning to understand more about the issues of including ".js" in the title of a user page. So nothing more need be done on this until it becomes clearer whether this article becomes notable and neutral enough to progress to submission as an article. Theoa (talk) 21:37, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If a user subpage contains ".js" at the end of the name, than it is a JavaScript page and thus doesn't render any code. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 23:40, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2012 May newsletter

We're halfway through round 3 (or the quarter finals, if you prefer) and things are running smoothly. We're seeing very high scoring; as of the time of writing, the top 16 all have over 90 points. This has already proved to be more competative than this time last year- in 2011, 76 points secured a place, while in 2010, a massive 250 was the lowest qualifying score. People have also upped their game slightly from last round, which is to be expected as we approach the end of the competition. Leading Pool A is Wales Cwmhiraeth (submissions), whose points have mostly come from a large number of did you knows on marine biology. Pool B's leader, Conradh na Gaeilge Grapple X (submissions), is for the first time not our highest scorer at the time of newsletter publication, but his good articles on The X-Files and Millenium keep him in second place overall. Wisconsin Miyagawa (submissions) leads Pool C, our quietest pool, with content in a variety of areas on a variety of topics. Pool D is led by Scotland Casliber (submissions), our current overall leader. Nearly half of Casliber's points come from his triple-scored Western Jackdaw, which is now a featured article.

This round has seen an unusually high number of featured lists, with nearly one in five remaining participants claiming one, and one user, New York City Muboshgu (submissions), claiming two. Miyagawa's featured list, 1936 Summer Olympics medal table, was even awarded double points. By comparison, good article reviews seem to be playing a smaller part, and featured topics portals remain two content-types still unutilised in this competition. Other than that, there isn't much to say! Things are coming along smoothly. As ever, if you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! englisches Pendant gesucht

Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 12:43, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, schade.
Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 13:24, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
SEFA (disambiguation)

Hi. I am not sure of what to do. I think, the best option should be to move the article SEFA to Selected Elevated Flow Apparatus. As written in the article, SEFA is just the acronym, not the name. So we have two articles with the same SEFA acronym: Selected Elevated Flow Apparatus and Service d'exploitation de la formation aéronautique. That's why I think a disambiguation page is justified. Huon seems to agree. Best Regards. 80.13.85.217 (talk) 21:05, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't really matter, if SEFA is an acronym. Do you have any evidence, that "Selected Elevated Flow Apparatus" is the common name of the subject of the article and not "SEFA"? I don't think this is the case. I think you should use Wikipedia's requested moves process. (BTW I created the Selected Elevated Flow Apparatus ===> SEFA redirect.) Armbrust, B.Ed. 1986 Grand Prix

Hallo Armbrust, da warst du ja wieder schnell.

Hey, so I'm intrigued by your reverting me at FFT0 for going against consensus. On the talk page, there is nothing but consensus in my favor by experienced editors, meanwhile, the only person against me is an IP who refuses to discuss things despite being asked to comment on the article's talk page. Additionally, my edit was in good faith in rewording things in a way where maybe there'd be a compromise since the information is a little less "front and center" in this approach. Sergecross73 msg me 16:15, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I didn't see your edit at all, because I used Twinkle's "[restore this version]" button, and wanted to only revert the IP's edit. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 16:20, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's alright, but could you revert it back though? If I change it back myself it'll look like I'm arguing with you too, and I'm already arguing/reverting that IP a lot, I'd rather not have it look like I'm edit warring. Thanks! Sergecross73 msg me 16:59, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

UEFA Euro 2012 schedule

The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.

Is this tag useful? There is no prose to speak of in the page; all "assertions" made there are numerical values for which the UEFA website should be a perfectly credible primary source. If your issue is with the schedule existing as a separate page, why not propose a merger or deletion? Just saying, the page will likely never include assertions of any kind that would actually require independent secondary sources. And tags for their own sake are imo on the annoying side of useless. --87.79.96.201 (talk) 20:53, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is. The UEFA website is a reliable source, but in this case also a primary source. Every article needs to pass the general notabitity guideline, which means that secondary sources are needed in this case too. (Maybe I nominate the page later for deletion too, if sourcing can't be addressed.) Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 21:03, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's what I was trying to get at. Let's distinguish for a moment between the page and the sum of the material in it. There currently isn't and very likely won't be any material included that would even need a secondary source. Even if someone awkwardly crams some prose in there just to make the tag go away, it wouldn't fall into the scope of the page. If that makes the page into something that shouldn't exist as a separate mainspace page, just go ahead nominate the page for deletion or merging. The tag however is clearly useless. I was just phrasing that as a question in the hope that on second glance you might discover that for yourself. --87.79.96.201 (talk) 21:34, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Now nominated this and two similar articles at AfD, see: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/UEFA Euro 2012 schedule, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/UEFA Euro 2008 schedule and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of 2010 FIFA World Cup matches.
Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 17:22, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sponsor-Also sollten die Angaben stimmen). --LezFraniak (talk) 21:53, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This discussion is just going in circles and is just a waste of time for both of us. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 11:17, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.
image was already in the template at the creation of it, don't remove it until the discussion isn't finished

Again, poor judgment on your part. The discussion has been over for a month. Jeremy has tried to override the consensus by starting a new "poll" discussion, claiming that we now have to wait another 30 days. There is simply no support for his claim on the talk page and he's attempting to game the system and continue rebooting the discussion until he gets his preferred outcome. Other than Jeremy's claim that we should wait 30 days, please show me how the discussion "isn't finished". Viriditas (talk) 09:40, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As I previously said: if you want, that the discussion is closed, than ask an uninvolved admin. Don't determine the consensus of the discussion for yourself. Edit warring isn't acceptable, even if you thing you're right. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 09:46, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I am not required to wait until the discussion is closed to remove the image, nor do I require an uninvolved administrator to help me edit. Per WP:BURDEN, lacking sources, we default to exclusion, not inclusion. The image is simply not supported by the sources. The implicit claim that burgers and fries represent American cuisine has already been refuted with sources on the talk page. That the owner of the template has ignored this burden, and that an editor with a COI has restored the image is the problem. I am not the problem, no matter how many times you say that I am. It isn't edit warring to remove unsourced images; it isn't edit warring to remove an image when consensus has been reached after a discussion has already lasted a month; and it isn't edit warring to revert an editor with an admitted COI. You've conveniently overlooked the real problem in every instance. Viriditas (talk) 10:00, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly WP:BURDEN isn't applicable to images and the template namespace in general (because no references are required in the template namespace). Also if you remove the image, than again, and again, and again, and again and again; than it's edit warring. Whether you are right or wrong dos not matter. Also if consensus is reached on the talk page, than there should be no problem finding an uninvolved admin to close the discussion. You can request this at WP:ANRFC if you want. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 10:14, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The idea that BURDEN isn't applicable because references aren't required is ridiculous. BURDEN applies everywhere where material is challenged per V. The fact of the matter is, the rationale for the image was challenged, and during a discussion it failed to meet the BURDEN, therefore it was removed. Saying that there is an exception to BURDEN in the template namespace is absurd. There is no exception to BURDEN anywhere. The reason we don't require references in templates isn't because they aren't needed, it's because we assume that the content has already met the BURDEN in their established parent articles. And, whenever we do have a problem with references for material where we normally don't use references, we handle the dispute on the talk page, where references are offered for examination. You seem to be interpreting the use of the template namespace in a literal manner not reflected by usage. You can't add whatever you want to a template. All content is subject to the BURDEN, regardless of whether we include references. References can be included on the talk page upon request, so your claim that "isn't applicable to images and the template namespace" is simply wrong. If someone uploads an image of an orange and adds it to an article on an apple and adds a caption that says "This is an apple", I can challenge that claim on the talk page and request a source that shows an apple that looks like an orange. If the user fails the BURDEN, I can remove the image and/or have it deleted. Do you understand? The same is true with the image of the burger and fries which implicitly claims to best represent American cuisine, which by the way, is what the original editor claimed. Sources were requested on the talk page, and the claim failed the BURDEN, so the image was removed. Is this making sense yet? Consensus was reached a long time ago, there's no "if" about it. The image was removed per consensus and added back against consensus. Yet, you are telling me that I'm edit warring? Viriditas (talk) 10:27, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No WP:BURDEN clearly says: "Whether and how quickly removal should happen depends on the material and the overall state of the article ..." (emphasis mine). Templates are not articles. Also WP:EW doesn't say anything about, that if you claim consensus, than you can revert any time you want. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 10:40, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You're reading literally again, out of the general context of the Verifiability policy. BURDEN is part of verifiability, which states that any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation. Any material. The word "article" has no bearing on V. The BURDEN is part of this process. Please read WP:V. There are no exceptions to this anywhere. Yes, we may not use actual, physical footnotes in templates, but that doesn't change the fact that V applies everywhere. You're forgetting that navigational templates are only for displaying content that already meets V. We're not going to put unverified material in a navigational template, or any challenged material. I hope that makes sense. To repeat, any material can be challenged, and just because that material appears in a template in no way makes it exempt from V. Also, you should know, there is simply no requirement that we use a reference in any article or template for that matter. We can just as easily source something on the talk page. The reason we add references is to aid the reader, and not everything requires a citation. We have a general agreement that it would interfere with navigation to see references in the template. That has nothing to do with V. Viriditas (talk) 10:49, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't mean WP:BURDEN, than don't say WP:BURDEN, say WP:V. Quite simple. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 10:51, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
BURDEN is part of V. When we say V, we are implying BURDEN. And, when I say BURDEN, I'm implying V. Finally, to address your point above, templates are usually placed in articles, and while they are not articles, they are used in articles. Content contained within templates isn't exempt from V just because it isn't an article, it's just that we assume it has already been vetted, so the problem doesn't come up that often, but it does happen. Most of these discussions take place on the talk pages, with references offered if needed. Viriditas (talk) 10:59, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes BURDEN is part of V, but that doesn't mean BURDEN is the same as V. It's just a part of it, which only applies to articles, which templates are not. If you don't like this, than co can initiate a discussion at WT:V to change it. Also how should others know, that if you say BURDEN, than you mean V. The WP:BURDEN shortcut exists to refer to just one part of the policy and not to the whole. If you mean V, say V and not BURDEN. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 11:06, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It says "All information in Wikipedia must be verifiable". It doesn't say that it only applies to articles. That's your interpretation of V. The policy applies to all material, all content, everywhere. You don't get to put unverified content in the template namespace, and it's a bit scary that you think you can. Templates appear in and are used in articles and are part of information in Wikipedia. Please stop arguing that the policy says things it doesn't. Viriditas (talk) 11:13, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User:Ahjkl67435

hello, I have written to OTRS concerning all works of which Helga Voci holds the copyright. I have permission from Helga Voci who holds the copyright to all images used on the Antonio Diego Voci page to publish these pictures. I would appreciate if you untag these as suspect. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ahjkl67435 (talkcontribs) 12:34, 19 June 2012‎

Firstly if you not the copyright holder, than you shouldn't use {{self}}, but the license tag the copyright holder choose (in this case it looks like this is {{cc-by-3.0}}). Secondly if you upload an image, where OTRS verification is necessary, than you should add {{OTRS pending}} to the image. Thirdly I have expanded this nomination with the images uploaded today. Fourthly if permission is received, than the images will not be deleted. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 13:17, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy for Native American --> Native-American

Oops! I removed the CFD tag from the category because I thought the discussion on the CFD page was closed and had been removed; I didn't realize it had simply been moved to a different part of the page. My mistake. Should I retag the category and restore the discussion? Or should I let it rest, since I doubt anyone thinks Native American should be hyphenated? Thanks, Aristophanes68 (talk) 17:10, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think If you want to change the name of the category to the hyphenated version, than you should nominate the category for full discussion, as there was a clear opposition to it a CfD speedy. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 17:14, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewing requests for Rollback

Hi Armbrust. Have seen your work at both AFC and in the file space, where you do imo a great job, but I don't think I have ever dropped by to say hi and wish you a job well done. For what it is worth, I have meant to do just that on several occasions. I wanted to stop by and suggest that when helping to vet requests over at RfR that it would be more helpful to look deeper into the contributions, rather than making them jump through too many loops trying to present them if at all possible. A helpful and not to difficult way of doing so is to open last 500 edits and look for the ones that are red (ie. -13) and use popups to view if the edit summary matches the revert made, along with those specifically stating revert. If looking through those edits, you find something troubling or find no examples of reverting/undo vandalism, then questioning may be in order. Since some can't revert, they don't necessarily use "rvt", "rv", or "revert" in the summary, but may explain just fine what they actually did. Just some friendly advise that would further help with the vetting the editors for those handling the requests. My two cents. Take care. Kindly Calmer Waters 04:01, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No kidding on my part, but it looks like you absolutely don't know, how to work with non-free content. According to the 10c Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria the images description page had to contain the following: "The name of each article [...] in which fair use is claimed for the item, and a separate, specific non-free use rationale for each use of the item, as explained at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. The rationale is presented in clear, plain language and is relevant to each use." As this images doesn't have such a rationale for the Red Star Belgrade article, they can't be placed on it. Since you are the one who added the non-free tag to The Oprah Winfrey Show, I was wondering when will it be appropriate to remove the tag? I have reduced all the images, hopefully that solves the problem. Justinboyer (talk) 15:20, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think the article has too many non-free images, are all of them really necessary? Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 15:22, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that the images are necessary to allow readers to fully understand the immense culture impact the show has had on the world. The images I chose to include in the article illustrate landmark events that took place on the show and are an important part to its history. I made sure that when I chose to include more images in the article it was only to enhance the researcher's experience with Wikipedia. I've done a lot of research on The Oprah Winfrey Show and feel that my contributions are necessary. Justinboyer (talk) 15:28, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I believe you, but would the File:A New Earth Webcast, 2008.jpg image be better in Oprah's Book Club? If yes, the there would be only four non-free images and the tag could be removed? Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 15:34, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I've removed File:A New Earth Webcast, 2008.jpg and will include it in the main book club article soon (looks like that page needs a little facelift itself haha). Firstly the article is doesn't contain any third party reliable sources, making the article completely unverifiable. Without them it is highly unlikely, that the topic passes the general notability guideline. If you want to work on the article without the threat of deletion, than it can be moved to your userspace. (Than after you finish, you can submittt it for review to WP:AFC.) Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 09:06, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really wish to be disputatious about your close of the discussion but it seems to me that everyone except me agreed that Category:Terminology should be for articles discussing terminology and not for titles that are terms, and even I had been pretty much convinced by the end of the debate. That part of it, at least, was not no consensus. I was hoping for more definite support for the idea of recreating category:terms, which used to have the completely differenct parent category:lexicology, or at least someone come up with the reason it was emptied in the first place. But no one actually disagreed with this. I did not fully understand all of the comments, but I think there was broad support for this. Alan Leifting's comment in particular is difficult to parse; I think he was proposing leaving most of the entries where they were in "terminology" and create "terminologies" for those entries that are genuinely terminology. This, however, is still support for having separate categories for terminologies and terms. Perhaps his thinking was that it would be less work this way, but everyone else would probably prefer that the work was done. Anyway, there is definite broad consensus for having two categories of some sort. I do not think the suggestion of CfD will help, the discussion was listed there from 15 May, as well as an RfC being opened on it. It seems people are just not that interested in discussing and this is all the consensus we are going to get. Would you be willing to reconsider your close? Hello, you placed the critique of “too many pictures” at the top of the Antonio Diego Voci page and suggested I review “Manual Style on Images” I had already used that guide to originally construct the Antonio Diego Voci page. I have just refreshed myself as suggested.

  1. Comparison to the Wikipedia recommended “Timpani” revised page finds the Antonio Diego Voci page to be similar in both layout and ratio of images to text, and thus is in compliance.
  2. One item I overlooked and in good faith will now correct is the caricature of Diego’s father-in-law so that he is looking toward the text and not away from it, and thus be in compliance.
  3. The images within the text are all relevant to specific items in the text, located together as close as the system allows and thus are in compliance.
  4. Since I could not find any Wikipedia specific numbers for quantity of images to include in the gallery, I used as my guide other notable artists with pages which Wikipedia suggested. I found that the Cezanne Gallery had a similar number, Renoir had several more, and Monet had twice as many; therefore again by comparison of numbers are in compliance. NOTE: Relating to the Gallery, Diego was highly accomplished in several genres. I culled from hundreds of image choices to illustrate Diego’s versatility identified by Genre: Works, Faces, Surrealism, Cubism, Clowns/Harlequins/Musicians, Landscapes, and Horses/Boats. I wanted to add Fauvism, Figures and Abstract but, decided to err on the conservative side for total numbers of images.
  5. Lastly, to show my good faith to the conscientious editor, I eliminating 5 images from the body of the text. Removed is one of the 2 Native Indian images. And somewhat reluctantly, 4 images of official government documents which I felt added credibility. They will now be found scanned documents.

In closing, compliance with Wikipedia has been and IS my objective for the Antonio Diego Voci page. Maintaining the highest integrity, accuracy and visual appeal is vital to both Wikipedia and the reputation of Antonio Diego Voci.

Thanks, User:Ahjkl67435 Ahjkl67435 (talk) 18:15, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lets see,
  1. The Timpani has 14 picture and 4 sound files, and has a 4958 words. The Antonio Diego Voci article has 67 images with 4541 words. Almost Five times as many images with the same number of words. The Cezanne article contains 8 picture outside of the gallery, the Renoir has 6, the Monet has 9 and Diego has 32.
  2. That wasn't a problem.
  3. That's not true everywhere:
    1. Do we need three images for the sentence "All three Voci boys were sent to Reggio to study tailoring"? Most of the paragraph is about his brothers, not him.
    2. The "Café Scene" painting isn't mentioned in the "DIEGO Travels with Nephew" section. (Also there is text sandwiched between two images. According to MOS:IMAGES, this shouldn't be done.)
    3. The "Italienishe Arbeiterfamilie" painting isn't mentioned in the "JFK" section.
    4. Is two images really needed in the "In the News" section. I think one would suffice. (Also sandwiching of text between images.)
    5. The two images in the "USA/Canada Exhibitions" section are not mentioned in the text. (Also sandwiching of text between images.)
    6. Three pictures in the "DIEGO’s Last Hours" section. The "An empty chair" isn't mentioned in the text and smoking picture about the painter isn't needed in this section. (Also sandwiching of text between images.)
    7. As for the "Signatures of Antonio DIEGO Voci on artwork". It is completely unsourced and without this original research. Should be completely removed. (Tagged with {{unreferenced section}}.)
  4. The gallery isn't a problem.
Some of the above mentioned images should be moved to the gallery. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 19:45, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your clean-up and suggestions. I’ll be out of the state for a week and will continue the necessary refinement then. The following is addressed in 2 parts: 1. Your June 30th 7 point review. 2. Clarification of mixed up apples and oranges on number of pictures.
Response to your June 30th 7 points:
  1. “All 3 Voci boys …..” a. You are correct, too much emphasis on the brothers. I will modify the text next week. b. Important that the Diego tailoring images survive. I treated the 3 images as one in a box. The purpose to illustrate Diego’s broad mosaic of talent to include the artistic ability and skill to design and make stylish garments. I request that the combined image remain as is, relevant to the whole.
  2. Perhaps it was overlooked, but the “Café Scene” painting is mentioned in the text, “Paris café scene….” I have now added quote marks around “Café Scene” so the connection to the image is more obvious. The 2 1957 images are especially material to the career of Diego as they are the earliest evidence of work discovered to date. How can I get past the sandwiching problem? Would moving them side by side be ok?
  3. You are correct. “ Italienishe Arbeiterfamilie" isn’t mentioned in the JFK text section, nor was it intended to. The image is exactly to the left of the 2 paragraphs. The paragraph quote by Helga Voci, “We left Zurich for Italy…” and in the paragraph before that “Leave Switzerland to warmer southern country…” and “people gather in groups…” and “ These are the subjects of Diego.” Also I added a new section title “Return to Italy” to separate the abrupt transition from the JFK section.
  4. In the News section, The TV Guide images are 3 pages together in one box as if one image. They are all the same May 1974 issue. a,The initial cover design was to include Diego on the cover. b, By print deadline Robert Stack was featured on the cover, but inside was…. c, The 3 page article “Diego is a Lion” by freelance writer Victoria Williams, of which I show only the first page. The other 2 pages can be found in scanned documents.
  5. Actually the 2 images in the” USA/Canadian” are mentioned in the text. A careful read will lead you to Diego, Helga and Allesandra’s visit to Diego’s older brother Vincenzo 1980. And the more important lithograph relates to publishing 8 lithographs in Urbino. However, the “sandwiching” is problematic. To show good faith I will abort the 1980 family photo in deference to keeping the lithograph image.
  6. I have a dilemma in need of a solution on “Diego’s Last Hours” section because all 3 images are important. In this case, truly, “A picture is worth a thousand words”. The 3 images tell more than the text can say. a, Diego died of lung cancer, text says he smoked 40 cigarettes a day. It was the cause of his death. b, At his death the empty chair was lifeless before the unfinished canvas, with paints awaiting a brush that would never again be lifted. c, The cubist ink on paper drawing was the last work done in his death bed. Even while dying Diego still had to be drawing. Again, 2 two images at the left are to be in one box as if 1 image. Please say they are OK there. The preference would be to have the ink drawing also included.
  7. I will cross check and add sources to each of the signatures.
Re: Warning on “Alt and Yung” image: I'm working on getting a larger image to replace the tiny unexpandable “Alt and Yung”. A very important painting as is “Horses Racing” for reasons explained in the text.
CLARIFICATION OF MIXED UP APPLES AND ORANGES ON NUMBER OF PICTURES. You’ll note in my June 30th point 4 we stated “gallery”. The count of images for “Cezanne gallery, Renoir, and Monet” was strictly Gallery to Gallery. No ratio of text to total images on those three was intended. And as far as “Timpani” your numbers were instructive and your point was made. However, because I did not see any gallery for “Timpani”, you’ll agree the ratio comparison of images to text would be out of balance to include gallery, which was not our intention. FYI, some of the layout difficulty we are experiencing is the layout variance of wide screen monitor to the reduced monitor version and to what comes out of the printer. What one person is looking at may be a quite different configuration from another even though the material entered was not different. Thanks, User:Ahjkl67435 Ahjkl67435 (talk) 19:39, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, my further opinion:
  1.  Changed the align of the picture. Now okay.
  2.  Fixed
  3.  Now not a problem.
  4.  Not a problem after the removing of the family photo.
  5.  Done. Now not a problem.
  6.  Removed File:An empty chair.jpg from the section, as the picture doesn't add anything to it.
  7. Okay. If you add the references about the signatures, than just remove the {{unsourced section}} tag. No need to notify me.
If you upload an image with a higher resolution before the image is deleted, than leave a message to my talk page and I will withdraw the nomination. If the image is deleted in the meantime, than you can upload it again, as the OTRS ticket remains valid.
Moved the signatures to the gallery, with this the number of images have gone down to 25 outside of the gallery. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 20:49, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • The main body is OK but the gallery section at the end should be moved out to its proper place: the Commons. And why on earth have these images been uploaded here instead of the Commons? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:34, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2012 June newsletter

Apologies for the lateness of this letter; our usual bot wasn't working. We are now entering round 4, our semi-finals, and have our final 16. A score of 243 was required to reach this round; significantly more than 2011's 76 points, and only a little behind 2010's 250 points. By comparison, last year, 150 points in round 4 secured a place in the final; in 2010, 430 were needed. Commiserations to Pool A's Minas Gerais igordebraga (submissions), who scored 242 points, missing out on a place in the round by a whisker. However, congratulations to Pool B's Conradh na Gaeilge Grapple X (submissions), whose television articles have brought him another round victory. Pool A's Wales Cwmhiraeth (submissions) came second overall, with an impressive list of biological did you knows, good articles and featured articles. Third overall was Pool D's New York City Muboshgu (submissions), with a long list of contibutions, mostly relating to baseball. Of course, with the points resetting every round, the playing field has been levelled. The most successful Pool was Pool D, which saw seven into the final round. Pool B saw four, C saw three and Pool A saw only the two round leaders.

A quick note about other competitions taking place on Wikipedia which may be of interest. There are 13 days remaining in the June-July GAN backlog elimination drive, but it is not too late to take part. August will also see the return of The Core Contest- a one month long competition first run in 2007. While the WikiCup awards points for audited content on any subject, The Core Contest about is raw article improvement, focussing heavily on the most important articles on Wikipedia. Good luck! WP:PERM/C request of SSGTSG

Hi, I received your message but I am unable to reply back to you as I am new to wikipedia. As far as the question was concerned- I need permission to upload logo of our organization Greytrix India and I am permitted to use it. So there is not any copyright issue here. Waiting for your permission. Thanks A lot :) and also please do help me with some steps for uploading the logo. It will be really helpful for me. Sonal Singh 11:01, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

I have to say, that if don't know how to answer there, than probably you shouldn't have the confirmed permission. Also Greytrix India is up for speedy deletion, thus likely the logo isn't needed. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 11:09, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that I misunderstood the policies regarding deletion. I thought I had given enough notice since I posted the initial ArticlesForDeletion two weeks and that was sufficient time since no one had argued in favor of keeping the article. I apologize for my mistake and thank you for catching it for me. GrecoGekko (talk) 16:30, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. If you still want to nominate the article for deletion, than follow the instructions at WP:AFDHOWTO. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 16:33, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the tip. I think I'll see if it really can be salvaged (it looks a little better than it did since I tried to post the deletion on it) before deleting it. GrecoGekko (talk) 17:31, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please note, that if you initiate a deletion discussion, than you can't close it per WP:INVOLVED. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 17:48, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I need help.

Would you please help me protecting my userpage from IP adresses. I am being attacked and harrased by them, and they are at least 10 different. Please help, Armbrust, this is a serious deal. Thank you, Altaïr (talk) 16:11, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I can't help you directly. However, you can request indefinite semi-protection of your userpage at WP:RFPP as protection in own userspace. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 16:13, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It`s common username on our forums and there are several versions of writing it such as Borac Banja Luka, Borac BL, Banja Lucki Borac etc so I think it`s not inappropriate. Regards --Borac Banja Luka (talk) 17:32, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your non-admin closure

Would you please revert the Non admin closure you made on Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Kolkata. It is not proper in my opinion as none of the six participants of the discussion voted for keep, I would prefer a relist of the debate--DBigXray 06:10, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP: PERM

Hi! I see that you help out at WP: PERM, even though you're not an Admin. I help out at AIV, too as a non-admin and would like to know how I can get involved in clerking there. Thanks, Electriccatfish2 (talk) 21:48, 4 July 2012 (UTC).[reply]

I help out at various subpages of Requests for permission.
  • I mostly help at WP:PERM/C. I first check, whether the user is autoconfirmed and than ask a question if necessary. I decline mostly if (1) the user wants to upload free images there or (2) the question wasn't answered in four days.
  • In case of WP:PERM/AP I check the articles, the user created. Has xe created the necessary 50 articles? Are they properly sourced and notable?
  • In case of WP:PERM/F I should, whether the user has enough experience in the file namespace by the number of the edits to the namespace, number of uploaded files, work with non-free material and previous file rename requests.
  • And lastly at WP:PERM/R I check whether the user can identify vandalism on Wikipeda. If he doesn't warn the vandals, than it should brought to his/her attention.
Regards, Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 06:23, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
...and don't forget, anyone who is asking for permissions is showing they want to stick around and contribute. If they have a redlink to their talkpage, it's a perfect opportunity to formally Welcome them. Always choose a Welcome message that a) matches their request, b) answers some of their questions, or c) addresses possible issues (such as COI, Copyright, etc) (✉→BWilkins←✎) 11:08, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For example, the Welcome you left for User:Msarfuel was pretty generic - I replaced it with Welcome-COI because they're drafting an article about a subject that they have massive COI with. Also note: we don't typically upload images to draft articles...maybe I need to create an option in the RFPC template for that :-) (✉→BWilkins←✎) 19:49, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I already do the rollback stuff at the CVUA to see if my student is ready for rollback. I'll start off at Confirmed and Rollback. However, if you are a non-admin clerk, can you put a  Not done sign by someone who say, doesn't know what vandalism is? Thanks, Electriccatfish2 (talk) 11:50, 6 July 2012 (UTC).[reply]
Of course you can. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 11:58, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Also, should I put an (non-admin closure) sign to identify myself as a non-admin? Thanks, Electriccatfish2 (talk) 19:54, 6 July 2012 (UTC).[reply]
If you want, than you can. The use of the {{nao}} template is voluntary per this TFD. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 19:57, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much! Did I close this correctly? Also, while I sometimes make (Non-administrator comment)'s at WP: PERM, I'm not going to use the (Non-administrator comment) template because it's a closure, not an observation. Regards, Electriccatfish2 (talk) 20:51, 6 July 2012 (UTC).[reply]

some image reverts

related to File:BS - Julia.jpg and similar images

Why are they not replaceable? All I see is a person with a neutral background. Since these person are still living, this image can be taken by a camera 'easily'. mabdul 10:06, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Because these images are not about living persons, but copyrighted characters. There are dozens of such images. Nominate them at WP:FFD if you want. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 10:19, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Odd RM close

This close is odd and unexplained; the page is not moved, and the discussion does not support a move, and there's an ongoing second RM with more support. A slip up? Dicklyon (talk) 07:16, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Armbrust, I have followed your guidance and sent an email to Fender Consumer Relations along with a cut and paste of the consent form:

Dear Fender Customer Relations:

I was informed by Wikipedia that your company must send them an email granting permission to use the photo of George William Fullerton for publication on his Wiki webpage at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_William_Fullerton

Please go to the following webpage to learn more about granting permission to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:CONSENT

You do not need to upload the photo "George William Fullerton.jpg" to Wikipedia because this photo has already been submitted to Wikipedia Commons and is awaiting your company's permission to post it to George Fullerton's wiki page.

Please be sure to fill out the following information and email it to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org

I am confident the company will grant permission to publish the photo. The wiki page is coded and ready to accept the photo for publication. Thank you. Regards, DOCAMPO (talk) 19:42, 7 July 2012 (UTC)Daocampo[reply]

If they give permission to use the photo on Wikipedia, than upload the file again to Commons with the {{OTRS pending}} template. (Note, that this template alone without permission will only enable the picture to be stored temporally, and the image will be eventually deleted.) Armbrust, B.Ed. One last question: How many days should you wait before declining a request for being confirmed because the user didn't answer the question? Thanks, Electriccatfish2 (talk) 11:39, 8 July 2012 (UTC).[reply]

I would say four days, as this is the same time you need to become autoconfirmed. From then on the user just needs to edit. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 11:41, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Electriccatfish2 (talk) 11:44, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One Source Template

I disagree with your addition of the One Source Template for the article 2012 ITU World Triathlon Series. The one source, ITU - for for an ITU article, is sufficient considering the content, which is merely two ITU event results. Please review WP:SELFPUB and WP:IRS for the relevance of this template posting. BarkeepChat/$ 04:45, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see, what's your problem. {{One source}} can be used if an article only contains one reference, which was true for this article. Now that you added more references to the article, there is no reason it to remain on the it. And you already removed the template. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 04:54, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The template is when only one source is used, not one reference. If you're looking to have more than one reference added I think the template your looking to use is {{Refimprove}}. The ITU source(s) in the 2012 ITU World Triathlon Series article should be suitable as a reliable source for ITU race results and does not warrant a {{One source}} or a {{Primary sources}} template given the guidelines of WP:SELFPUB. From personal stand point it strikes me as unhelpful when I see an editor place a ref template on an article such as this one, where, in my opinion, the minimal amount of unreferenced content that is present isn't likely to be challenged and the external information can be easily found. But it appears that you are challenging the content, and thus race result refs were added. BarkeepChat/$ 13:57, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
