Untitled[edit]

This is one of the most incredibly biased, point-of-view articles I have ever seen. Pretty much every sentence (note: in trying to write "sentence," I actually wrote "dvertisement") is about how incredible this group is. The article pretty much needs a total rewrite. -- Kicking222 02:08, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I totally agree. The article sounds more like a fan page than a encyclopedia article. TamYum 03:08, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

I did just about a total rewrite (well, kinda) of the article, how is it? Tried not to make it sound so "fannish". The Clark Sisters are great, and they deserved a better article. A link to the article's source is located in External links. Also re-did the Dorinda Clark Cole article. TamYum 13:10, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jesus Has A Lot To Give[edit]

Hey, I saw where the automatic bot removed an unsourced image for Jesus Has A Lot To Give. Whoever put that up, could you maybe send it to me? Or put it up again? I just wonder what the album looked like! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Souldier77 (talkcontribs) 19:56, 16 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

I have the album cover for "Jesus Has A Lot To Give" , but I have no idea how to put it on here. Jmillz2005 02:10, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vocal Profile[edit]

I only know information on Karen, but shouldn't there be a vocal profile on the group? I think it should be placed instead of "The Clark Sound" section, which should be a part of the vocal profile, since it talks about their voices. Jdot01 03:04, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Only if the proper sources are given, otherwise it would be original research which, as you may know, Wikipedia does not allow. If you find the proper sources, I'm all for adding their profiles. Jgcarter 18:31, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One Last Time[edit]

Forged Work?[edit]

This paragraph seems to be directly lifted from Gospel Flava "The Clark Sisters signed to Sound of Gospel Records where they would see their recording career take off. In the late 1970s, the group released four albums: Unworthy (1976), Count It All Joy (1978), New Dimensions of Christmas Carols (1978), and He Gave Me Nothing to Lose (1979). The early 1980s saw The Clark Sisters become a nationwide phenomenon as Twinkie guided the sisters in a live recording which was titled Is My Living In Vain. Upon its release, the album would remain atop of the Billboard gospel charts for over a year. The Clark Sisters' following release would prove to be an even bigger success. "You Brought the Sunshine", their biggest hit to date, would go on to garner the Sisters a gold album and a bonafide hit on the gospel and R&B charts. "

We need a rewrite as the quality of the article would be diminished if you removed them. Jgcarter 03:03, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BringingItBackHome1989.jpg[edit]

Image:BringingItBackHome1989.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:37, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fear of disappearing album cover galleries & lists[edit]

OK, this is just fair warning, for anybody who loves the discography gallery:

For those of you who remember a recent upset where "fair use laws" were enforced and those who didn't comply had their photos deleted from the page? Well it looks like the next annoying wave of Wikipedia policy enforcement is going to be wiping out "non-free" images from galleries and lists. The first victim was the Yolanda Adams discography that I spent some personal time working on. Their justification per Wikipedia:Non-free content#Images and Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria is that "non-free" images within galleries are "considered decorative." So some administrators are going through and sweeping out all photos from lists and galleries such as discographies and videographies, etc. So if you've done any work that you really value, I suggest that you take a backup copy of the photos or otherwise archive it yourself. Wikipedia is not being friendly about these things for whatever reason. Souldier77 17:46, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jacky's Voice[edit]

For the second time, I have changed Jacky back to a bass. A tenor describles a male with a high voice (contrary to gospel choirs). At best, one could say she is a contralto but she cannot be a tenor. If you dont believe me, look it up. :-) Jgcarter 17:35, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re-Release of "Live - One Last Time"[edit]

The clark Sisters will be re-releasing "One Last Time". It is slated to be released October 2nd 2007. It is a 'limited gift edition' a different cover and everything. I don't know if it will have extra music or footage. I will check into it. Cd Universe does not have the tracklisting yet, but I check back and then post them here.

Removal of copy editing tag[edit]

I only made a few clean-up changes to the section marked with the copy edit tag, and I think it looks pretty good now, so I removed the tag. I hope this is agreeable, cheers Zujua (talk) 10:28, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
