GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
In the lead, "Phineas appears in Phineas and Ferb merchandise, including plush toys[10], t-shirts[11], and a video game.[12]" ---> "Phineas appears in Phineas and Ferb merchandise, including plush toys,[10] t-shirts,[11] and a video game.[12]", the sources need to be behind the punctuation instead of before. In the Role in Phineas and Ferb section, "...toy design (in "Toy to the World")[14]; piracy (in "The Ballad of Badbeard")[15]; engineering (in "It's About Time!")[16]; ---> "...toy design (in "Toy to the World");[14] piracy (in "The Ballad of Badbeard");[15] engineering (in "It's About Time!");[16]". In the Hallmarks section, "...Phineas has several recurrent lines that feature in most episodes", this is me, "are" should go between "that" and "feature", and "feature" should be "featured". Same section, "In every episode Phineas and Ferb's pet platypus" ---> "In every episode, Phineas and Ferb's pet platypus". In the Personality section, "meanspiritedness" ---> "mean spiritedness". Same section, "In the episodes "One Good Scare Ought to Do It!" and "Hail Doofania" Phineas goes to great lengths to help his friend Isabella", add a comma after episode "Hail Doofania". In the Reception section, who's "Jean Yoo"? In other media section, "...Phineas has featured in several other pieces of merchandise from the series" ---> "...Phineas has been featured in several other pieces of merchandise from the series".
    Done with all. The Flash {talk} 23:01, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Check.
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
Throughout the article, please link "animosity" and "Scholastic" to their correspondence articles. In the Creation and conception section, "...and with reference to the character Phileas Fogg (often misreferenced as "Phineas Fogg") from Around the World in 80 Days" ---> "and with reference to the character Phileas Fogg (often misreferenced as "Phineas Fogg") from Around the World in 80 Days (1873)", so that it can provide context for the reader. In the Hallmarks section, "isn't" ---> "is not". In the Reception section, why is "2008" linked?
    Done - I don't see 2008 being linked anywhere in Reception... The Flash {talk} 19:04, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Check.
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
Reference 1, 3, 8, 9, 11, 21, 24, 43, and 48 are missing a date and accessdate. Also, you need to have a consistency with the references; either have them setup as "2009-08-28" or "August 28, 2009", per here. The date in Reference 34 should be "November 4, 2007" not "November 04, 2007", per here. Also, Reference 8, 10, and 26 are missing Publisher info.
    Done. The Flash {talk} 00:42, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Half-check. Dates/accessdates are missing, see here. Also, Reference 22 is dead.
I put the accessdates there back when I did all the ref issues and it's not showing up. Have any idea why? Ref 22 archived. The Flash {talk} 18:58, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    See here... check. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:35, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Thanks for that! :) The Flash {talk} 19:39, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    B. Reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose):
    C. It contains no original research:
Are "Common Sense Media", "Stylinonline.com", "Kidzworld", "411 News", "National Ledger" and "Piper's Pick TV" reliable sources?
Common Sense Media - Review website for parents on what their kids watch, read, listen to, etc. - used at GA and FAC The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie.
    Stylinonline.com - t-shit retail website
Kidszworld - website for media for children
411 News - news website, like Newsarama
    National Ledger - Online newspaper
Piper's Pick TV - YouTube hosted interview online show about children media, hosted by internet personality Piper Reese. I might be able to get a better version on the actual website.
    The Flash {talk} 00:25, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Check.
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    File:PhineasGuitarRacing.jpg needs a lower resolution.
Tried re-uploading it, but it says it already exists on Commons and that I can't upload it... The Flash {talk} 00:25, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Why is at Commons? This a fair-use image and shouldn't be uploaded over there.
    Checked and it's not there. I dunno why it's happening... The Flash {talk} 23:18, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I can't pass this article until a lower resolution is uploaded. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 18:28, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Done - don't know why it wasn't working before. The Flash {talk} 19:39, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Check.
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
If the statements above can be answered, I will pass the article. Good luck with improving this article!

Thank you to SuperFlash for getting the stuff I left at the talk page [for a while now], because I have gone off and placed the article as GA. Congrats. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 21:29, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a bunch! :) The Flash {talk} 23:17, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
