Actually, I think we're guessing that until we figure out the official dates. I just guessed Ferb's height, 3'2", after comparing Phineas' height to Ferb's Height, Ferb is just a few inches taller.

Comments arising from copyedit[edit]

Hi - I just did a couple of copyedit passes through this article. It's looking OK, but there's a few things that need some attention (and that your GA reviewer is bound to pick up):

"Phineas has been positively reviewed by critics, one describing him and his brother as a "comical pairing of boisterous."" That sentence ends on an adjective, which can't be right. It needs rephrasing to make sense.

"Phineas is portrayed as a selfless, intelligent, and creative child." Can you get a citation to support this? If not, it sounds too close to original research.

"This decision was made to make the texture more thematic." - I wasn't sure what this sentence means. Can you rephrase it?

This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.

Is it well written?
A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
In the lead, "Phineas appears in Phineas and Ferb merchandise, including plush toys[10], t-shirts[11], and a video game.[12]" ---> "Phineas appears in Phineas and Ferb merchandise, including plush toys,[10] t-shirts,[11] and a video game.[12]", the sources need to be behind the punctuation instead of before. In the Role in Phineas and Ferb section, "...toy design (in "Toy to the World")[14]; piracy (in "The Ballad of Badbeard")[15]; engineering (in "It's About Time!")[16]; ---> "...toy design (in "Toy to the World");[14] piracy (in "The Ballad of Badbeard");[15] engineering (in "It's About Time!");[16]". In the Hallmarks section, "...Phineas has several recurrent lines that feature in most episodes", this is me, "are" should go between "that" and "feature", and "feature" should be "featured". Same section, "In every episode Phineas and Ferb's pet platypus" ---> "In every episode, Phineas and Ferb's pet platypus". In the Personality section, "meanspiritedness" ---> "mean spiritedness". Same section, "In the episodes "One Good Scare Ought to Do It!" and "Hail Doofania" Phineas goes to great lengths to help his friend Isabella", add a comma after episode "Hail Doofania". In the Reception section, who's "Jean Yoo"? In other media section, "...Phineas has featured in several other pieces of merchandise from the series" ---> "...Phineas has been featured in several other pieces of merchandise from the series".

Throughout the article, please link "animosity" and "Scholastic" to their correspondence articles. In the Hallmarks section, "isn't" ---> "is not". In the Reception section, why is "2008" linked?

Also, you need to have a consistency with the references; either have them setup as "2009-08-28" or "August 28, 2009", per here. The date in Reference 34 should be "November 4, 2007" not "November 04, 2007", per here. Also, Reference 8, 10, and 26 are missing Publisher info.

Ferb page[edit]

I totally agree. Ferb plays just as large as a role (although not through speaking) in the episodes, and has just as much information about him. I don't understand why Phineas should get a page while Ferb does not.

I still say that this article should be deleted, however. There is nothing here that is not covered in the main series page and the character page. The character page mentions his personality and role, the main page talks about the concept and creation of the character and the show, the reception and media is covered along with the show with the show article, as well. The page fits WP:NOTABLE - please understand Wikipedia policy. That character list is, honestly, terrible - no reliable sources (or refs at all) and all pretty much WP:CRUFT. Removed relationships section[edit]

It was all Original Research and none of it was referenced. It would have never made it to Good Article with that. Noble Prize?[edit]

It says in the opening that "It is also said in Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo that he had won the nobel prize, as he was in Switzerland at the time for the "award ceremony"." This statement isn't completely accurate. While Linda Flynn-Fletcher does say that "Phineas is in Switzerland for the award ceremony" no one actually states that Phineas won the Noble Prize. That's the obvious assumption, but it's still an assumption. I'd think the sentence would be more accurate as "It is insinuated in Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo that he had won the nobel prize, as he was in Switzerland at the time for the "award ceremony".
