[Untitled][edit]

I tried to find sources for this article by googling, but I didn't have a lot of luck. One issue is that both "Pesaha appam" and "indri appam" are more common than "INRI appam." Maybe someone who is familiar with Indian food could help out here? Also, the recipe needs to go somewhere else, possibly the cookbook on wikibooks. Hanacy (talk) 22:10, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization[edit]

A large number of sites capitalize this as Pesaha Appam but from what I see on Google Books, WP:RS capitalize only Pesaha appam. I am leaning toward the latter usage. (Pesaha translates to Passover, of course. This is capitalized project-wide.) There is no distinction between uppercase and lowercase in Indic scripts. All rites or not[edit]

We need reliable secondary sources for evidence that Catholics of "all rites" participate in making and eating this food. The sources specify that this is the culture of Saint Thomas Christians. Please do not edit-war; please do not insert red links; please observe our non-negotiable verifiability policy; please read our policies and guidelines for more information, especially those linked here.

  • Elizium23, There are some Saint Thomas Christians who have converted to Latin Rite Catholicism mainly after the Synod of Diamper. They might be continuing some of their traditional celebrations, which may possibly include the Pesaha Appam ceremony. But I do not think it is a common practice among the other Latin Catholic sections of Kerala. There is a problem of disruptive partisanship in the recent edits and breaching of WP:NPA in their summaries. Br Ibrahim john (talk) 19:14, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
