Date of death discrepancy[edit]

The first edition of Gänzl's encyclopedia says Rubens died 25 Feb 1917. The second edition says 5 Feb. --Joseph Hewes (talk) 16:23, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't been able to find the obituary currently cited in the article which you say gives the 25th date. But there is a Times obituary dated 6 Feb 1917 which states "Mr. Paul Rubens, the dramatic author ... died yesterday at Falmouth..." There's also an article in the Melbourne Argus from 10 May 1917 which repeats the 5 Feb date and says "a sum of £11,000 is bequeathed to Miss Phyllis Dare." --Joseph Hewes (talk) 07:34, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

consumptive disease ??[edit]

The lead paragraph refers to "consumptive disease". I think this refers to a now outmoded name for Tuberculosis. I found that Consumption (disease)) redirects to Tuberculosis. The article should explain what is this term means in modern terms. -- rogerd (talk) 14:14, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
