Why is no preference included?[edit]

Only Japanese pills seem to include this option, it makes the polls borderline useless because half the people don't give an opinion. I'm pretty sure the CDP isn't going to win 10% of the vote in the actual election, because there is no "no preference" option there and they will be forced to choose. However the inclusion of this option in the polls makes them not useful for predicting the actual results and who could win. I'm pretty sure it will be the LDP, but their advantage is not nearly so overwhelming as it would seem due to the inclusion of no preference. I'm not sure that merely subtracting it would be appropriate either of course, it's just an extremely frustrating national polling practice that only Japanese pollsters seem to do.2601:140:8900:61D0:8456:2D9:CAD2:D34E (talk) 19:10, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Including disbanded parties[edit]

I just want to mention that I support the inclusion of the DP and the "old" Kibo no To in the table. This article is meant to include all poll results between the last general election and the next one. I also agree that this is standard practice in all similar articles. million voice revolution?[edit]

What is the "Million Voice Revolution" added in the approval rating graph by this edit? Those "voices" were probably quite silent because I can't find anything about it in the news.

The custom on Wikipedia articles covering opinion polls, is to add only these events: cabinet investitures, other nationwide elections, and new party leaders. Otherwise it is hard to find consensus on what is objectively affecting or not affecting polling. To solve the issue, we add a link to the "[year] in [country]" article, such as 2021 in Japan, 2020 in Japan, etc.
