"Municipal heritage site"[edit]

The "proper" term is technically "designated historic monument" (Monument historique cité) according to the relevant section (§70) of the provincial Cultural Property Act. Although designation is made by a municipality, the powers invested in the act are enshrined in provincial law and I'm not sure calling it a "municipal heritage site" which puts in my mind a different spin when compared to U.S. historic preservation laws.

Also, while I'm at it, the relevant page on the provincial website is here. Circeus (talk) 16:10, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
