Done Correct = Conrad's father worked on train ferries for railway vehicles. The ships later in the article at Lake Michigan Carferry Service were railroad ferries when constructed. Conrad converted the ship SS Badger (which I watch come into Ludington and leave everyday from my 7th floor senior apartment) from a railway ferry that crossed Lake Michigan to an automobile carrier at a cost of $1.5 million (1992 dollars).
