Notable?[edit]

To meet our general notability guideline, this organization needs "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". At present, the article includes a link to the camp's website (which, while certainly appropriate, does not establish notability) and four sources:

1) A copy of a CNN article at wibw.com. Coverage: "Cameron is a Golden Globe nominated actor who, with his wife, founded Camp Firefly, a week-long retreat for terminally and seriously ill children and their families." 2) A today.com article. Coverage: "Cameron has ... a camp for terminally ill children, Camp Firefly." 3) LA times article. Coverage: "The couple, married seven years, are the founders of the Firefly Foundation and Camp Firefly, for terminally ill children, in Georgia." 4) ABC News story. Coverage: "Cameron received no money ... Sherwood Baptist Church made a donation to Camp Firefly, a charity Cameron runs with his wife Chelsea to give terminally ill children and their families a free week's vacation."

These are reliable sources. However, the coverage is certainly not significant. Brief mentions in Kirk Cameron and Chelsea Noble are appropriate with a redirect here. Thoughts? - SummerPhD (talk) 14:47, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ultimately I probably agree that the suggested mentions plus redirect to Kirk's article are sufficient, but I did find a couple of sources more directly focused on the camp:
