Needs work[edit]

The article needs more sources. Also, it is confusing. The lede says that AKIP wants a vote giving Alaskans options on Alaska's status (statehood, becoming its own nation, etc.). However, the body of the article says that AKIP no longer wants to secede from the U.S. If that is the case, why does it continue to advocate for a vote on Alaska's status (which it clearly does; see www.akip.org)? It doesn't make sense. The article has been tagged accordingly. SunCrow (talk) 18:03, 21 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Alaska movement capital?[edit]

Is there a capital of Alaska independence movement? 2601:401:8280:4260:18BF:AA05:3198:2A51 (talk) 22:27, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

? I really don't understand what you are asking. Movements do not normally have capitals. --Orange Mike | Talk 23:46, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
My guess is that they were trying to ask about the idea that Juneau is maybe not the best choice for a capital city for Alaska as it is expensive and difficult for our legislators and other government personell to travel to it. Some folks think Anchorage or Wasilla would be a better choice as they are Alaska's largest population centers and are on the road system. Beeblebrox (talk) 16:12, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
