History of chocolate in Spain
Here's an idea for the English Wikipedia.
The Spanish Wikipedia has eS:Historia del chocolate en España - There is no English version, and the Spanish article is featured.

Closure of French/Spanish border June 1945
I know this is not accurate as I was on a train from Paris to Madrid on my 7th birthday - 8th November 1945 - on a journey returning to Lisbon (where my father was stationed) from a home visit to London.We flew to Paris and then from Madrid to Lisbon It was a difficlt journey for us because although we had first class tickets and my mother had a GB passport, she also was showing off by wearing a scarf with lots of flags on it and brazenly displayed the Hammer and sickle on one shoulder! We were eventually allowed to travel 3rd class which had wooden seats (which I had not experieinced before) the ordinary people were very kind and when they heard it was my birthday they gave me a large orange! She was hassled in Madrid until we were eventually helped by someone who I think was from the Swedish embassy/consul/charge d'affaires. I remember the events very clearly. Chameleons
This question relates to our article Sagrada Família.
I'm told there are stone chameleons on either side of the Nativity facade of the Sagrada Família. Could an editor in Barcelona or vicinity please find out how many there are on each side?

I am not experienced enough here, to know, whether this article, about an american artist, working in her exceptional studio in Majorca, is regarded as spain-related, and which start-class on the project's quality scale it deserves. Having created this article, I know wonder how much of it could be used to improve other articles. Since I don't know much of the layout of these "other articles", I'm sure you lot can do better. The bull "Raton" second kill never exist. It's a mistake
In the article Wikipedia say:
"Ráton's second kill was made in 2008 in the arena of Benifairó near Valencia[5] when he attacked a 27-year-old amateur matador, catching the man only two feet from safety. After hitting the man from behind, Ratón threw him in the air several times before leaving him trampled in the ring with fatal injuries.[3]
It's a great Mistake! Raton never runs in Benifairó in 2008. You can red this information of principal newspaper of Valencia.
"The truth is that this bull ten years has already been charged, since it went on the arena for the first time, two victims. The first was in Puerto de Sagunto in 2006 when he killed a man gored 50. The video, the Internet was seen by thousands. Since then, he awarded dozens of horns, including one in Valencia, Fallas, when gored three times a man in Valencia. This attack is one of the best known and it was from there when the legend began to widen. The runner was about to reach the barrier when "Mouse" hit him from behind and turned several times before letting trampled on the ground, when the organizers decided to suspend the celebration after the young man away to morlaco attacked by upon the release of a tame game. The aura of danger surrounding the "Mouse" grows with performances like that. In fact, to adjudicate other deaths, such as in Benifairó in 2008 when the deceased died after being beaten by a cow, or Museros, where a dozen people were gored by "Mouse", with no regrets the death of any of them."

"Flaco"
I've made an article about the spanish footballer Flaco, but after some research I realize that this rather unknown footballer (he played in the Norwegian Premier League), shouldn't have the pagename "Flaco" for himself, since it means skinny and is rather common as a nickname (?). Where should I move the article? His full name is José María Glaría Avizanda, and I believe Glaría is the paternal name. José Glaría, José Flaco Glaría, José María Glaría Avizanda, or just leave it under it's current name ? Mentoz86 (talk) 09:32, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Barcelona Catalonia or Barcelona Spain?
Hello everyone, I'm hoping that there's some kind of Wikipedia consensus view about this question. An editor has been going around to articles of football players and changing "Barcelona Spain" to "Barcelona Catalonia" (e.g. here). I know there are complicated and nationalistic issues involved but I was hoping there was a consensus view on which is the preferred form. Any thoughts? SQGibbon (talk) 17:58, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
- My thoughts is that you might include Catalonia, but Spain should be included either way. Like "Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain" or "Barcelona, Spain" P.S. This is a very quiet WikiProject, so if you might try your question in WP Football aswell. Mentoz86 (talk) 21:36, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, my feeling also was that Spain needed to be included at the least. Given how contentious a nationalistic issue this might be I'm guessing that it's been discussed in some detail and may be a part of a guideline or even ArbCom ruling but I've been unable to find any such reference. I was hoping someone might have something I can point this editor to. I have posted the question at WT:FOOTY so maybe people there will have some additional ideas. Resolved. I had feared that the issue was one of nationalism but it turned out to be more of a MOS and article structure problem. The entire thing was resolved by following MOS:BIO which is reiterated at WP:FOOTY. SQGibbon (talk) 17:17, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
RFC ar Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (use English)
There has been a brewing issue at WP:RM over WP:HOCKEY recommendations and how they should be applied over WP:COMMONNAME and WP:UE. Basically the hockey recommendation is that Diacritics shall be applied to all player pages, where appropriate as for the languages of the nationalities of the players in question. This is in fact a mandate that does not allow consideration of any other policy on naming. I think we need to resolve the issue of which naming convention we use for ice hockey players. Is it the one for the names of everyone else based on existing policy and guidelines, or do we have a blanket exception for one project? Do you think this site deserves to be on the external links section?
The site www.mijasguide.com has been removed from the external links section of Mijas. The site provides historical and practical information on the Mijas area.
- I'm not an expert, but at first site, it looks like some kind of commerce page that should be avoided. Regulations for external links can be found at WP:EL.

Duchy of Vilahermosa/Vilafermosa
Can someone from this project please check out Duchy of Vilafermosa and Dukes of Villahermosa to see whether they refer to the same lineage. The latter article is hard to read but some of the listed people appear to be the same. Also, confusingly, the Catalan equivalent to the Villahermosa article is named ca:Ducat de VilaFermosa.
