Coming out episodes[edit]

Trying to Google this is a bit difficult as there's quite a bit of noise around the signal... Can you help me by providing examples of television shows where a character comes out in the course of the series? What I'm wondering is if there are more gay women coming out or more gay men coming out in the shows. And when I say "coming out", I'm most specifically referring to characters who were leading rather hetero lives and then coming to a realization, admitting, etc that they're gay. Not, "the audience has always known this character was gay and now we're actually telling the rest of the characters". For this question, I'm only looking at gay (though I suppose bi as well) vs. straight. Not any of the other words/descriptors under LGBTQ. (My apologies if I've worded something poorly. If you'd like to correct something that I've said or tell me how I could have phrased it, I'm open to courteous comments.) Thanks, †dismas†|(talk) 19:13, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

TV Tropes has a "Coming-Out Story" page, with "Live-Action TV" examples. Clarityfiend (talk) 19:23, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
