Tennis Rankings Question[edit]

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can answer this question about tennis. Say a player on the ATP tour wins a tourney, Say Indian Wells -- which is happening soon -- and gets 500 points. A players ATP ranking is based on a rolling yearly total of points. Since the player won the tournament last year he has 500 points now taken from his total a year later as they 'expire'. To stay at the same points total the player has to win the tourney again to get the 500 back. --Trieste (talk) 07:27, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BBC documentary on Jonathan Bradley[edit]

About 1995, the BBC made a documentary on Jonathan Bradley (formerly Ian Rosenthal) who in the 1990s went to the British Courts to have his adoption order of 1959 cancelled, but was unsuccessful. He had been adopted by a Jewish family, but he much later discovered that his natural father was a Kuwaiti Arab. Can any user please let me have details of when this programme was aired and any other details about it, and also whether it is possible to obtain a copy of it. why do artists release discs on different scheduels in different places?[edit]

Music albums are released on Tuesdays in the U.S. while they are released on Mondays in the UK. As an example of this, see On an Island. As for why this is, I don't know. Dismas|^(talk) 20:24, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In answer to your second question, CDs are more expensive to buy in Japan than in many other countries. In order to still make them attractive to Japanese 'consumers', record companies had to make them special. Hence the proliferation of bonus tracks and non-standard packaging (such as the mini-LP card sleeve). In the case of vinyl LPs (not so sure about CDs), the pressings are also of superior quality to those found in the West. What's the song?[edit]

This is pretty ambiguous I know but I'm trying to find the name of a song and the band name. It was on E4's "like nu rave..." programme last week, the band are 2 guys, one playing drums and the other has one of those keyboards that you hold like a guitar. The video is very simple with the two of them playing in front of a white background. By the end of the video the drummer is lying on the floor while playing. The song has something to do with getting a signal on a mobile phone or words to that effect. I know it's a bit of a long shot but I've had the song in my head for days and I have hunted high and low on the internet but no one seems to know what I'm talking about!
