Request reason:

I would like to preface this appeal by saying that your ticket system did not see this account as blocked for some reason so I will use the ticket format here. Good Evening, Around October I was blocked for using a web host. I have an idea what a web host is and unsuccessfully appealed by the unjustified ban. I ended up waiting until November. Yesterday the sixth of January I was on an overnight school field trip to the Druze village of Julies. I logged on from a library and forgot to sign out of the account. The admin thought I was using two accounts but this is untrue. All proof that is needed for the trip can be sent. I would like this matter to be investigated. If unblocked I will edit Hashtag United, Nasier Yassin and any other sports/history related article that I come across and needs a fix. Also breaking news. I think there is a block affecting me because I believe this block is an error because: 1. I was once again blocked for a web host which I don't know what that is. 2. I forgot to sign out of an account at the Libray during a trip. Other things I would like to say is that all evidence of a trip can be sent. Please reply with any questions you may have as I just want the matter to be sorted. IsraeliIdan (talk) 18:25, 7 February 2019 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. You forgot to tell us your IP address so we can't investigate your claim. You can find this using WhatIsMyIP. If you don't wish to provide this publicly, you may use WP:UTRS to provide the IP address privately. Yamla (talk) 18:45, 7 February 2019 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Accept reason:

The IP block (and a rangeblock) have been lifted. If there are issues with Zvikorn's edits, those should be dealt with via the account, not via webhostblocks. That said, I find the coincidences here rather exceptional. Huon (talk) 17:08, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

That's a confirmed proxy. You'll need to disable your use of the proxy if you wish to edit here. --Yamla (talk) 11:02, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

As stated earlier I do not know what a proxy is and how it is impacting this. Please instruct me on how to turn it off. IsraeliIdan (talk) 11:26, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Sorry, we can't provide tech support for you. I mean that literally. We have no idea even what operating system you are running, let alone how your network is configured. You'll need to contact your system or network administrator, or a local technical support person. --Yamla (talk) 11:32, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

This is my home computer so can't talk to IT. I have been using this same pc and same wifi network for 3 years and nothing has been wrong. I heard there was something where u can apply for IP exemption? Can you link it? IsraeliIdan (talk) 11:34, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

WP:IPBE, but you'll need to demonstrate exceptional need. Basically, you'll need to demonstrate that you have to use the proxy in order to edit here, even though you've shown you don't. I'm not trying to be difficult here and I understand your frustration. You most likely have some proxy software installed and should search for "VPN" or "proxy" wherever your computer uses for a software repository (perhaps, "Add or remove programs" or something similar). --Yamla (talk) 12:06, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Hey there, I think I've found something called Hola and removed it. I don't know how it was on my computer. Can you check and see if there's any other problems? IsraeliIdan (talk) 12:13, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Hola is indeed a VPN. Unfortunately, there's literally nothing for me to check here. Either you are already able to edit, will be able to edit in 24 hours (but can't currently do so), or still have another problem. --Yamla (talk) 12:53, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
The IP address is blocked. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:03, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Okay, so now what do I do? Another appeal? Again I still don't completely get what a proxy is. But now I know why the ticketing system didnt find mky account as banned because only the IP is. IsraeliIdan (talk) 13:46, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

If you have uninstalled Hola and are still unable to edit, wait 24 hours and see if you can edit then. --Yamla (talk) 13:47, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
I don't think that will be enough if the IP is manually blocked. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:05, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
True, but I suggest this user is no longer on 141.226.195.18 after disabling the VPN. I obviously can't tell, though. Zvikorn could use WhatIsMyIP to tell us their current IP address. If they are still using 141.226.195.18, I suggest they have not yet properly disabled their VPN. --Yamla (talk) 16:56, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Hey so its been a lot of 24 hours? the 124 ip is my home ip in Israel that I have had for 3 years. What now? IsraeliIdan (talk) 17:04, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

Please Help IsraeliIdan (talk) 11:45, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
What 124 IP? You've never mentioned a 124 IP before now. The 141.226.195.18 IP you told us about still appears to be running a Proxy/VPN - see here. Do you have a different IP now? If so, what is it? Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:33, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
I'm sorry I meant the 141 IP. I thought I removed Hola from my computer. However, u say I didn't...? What should I do now? IsraeliIdan (talk) 18:29, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
No, I'm not saying you didn't remove Hola from your computer - I have no idea what you have on your computer and have no way of seeing it. All I can say is that that IP address still appears to have a Proxy/VPN running on it. Why, and what it is, I have no idea and no way to tell, and I am unable to offer any technical help, sorry. All you can do, I think, is wait for the next admin to review your unblock request and see if they have any idea. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 18:44, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

How long should the review take? Its been three days lol IsraeliIdan (talk) 19:49, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

@Yamla, Bbb23, and Boing! said Zebedee: - While triple c does offer hosting, it is my opinion that this range is not a hosting range (See: range resolution, contrast that with this range which looks a LOT more like a hosting range). I've manually tested this host for Hola as well, since that was a concern, and it does not appear to be running on this host at this time. Scans of that range also contribute to my opinion that this is likely not a hosting range.
Triple C does offer residential and business internet service as an ISP. This is a situation much like the situation with OVH, where they mix hosting and residential service, with little to no documentation or labeling. While it is an extremely bad practice, it is not the editor's fault. This causes tools like IPQS, and even my own tool, IPCheck to flag these IPs as a proxy/webhost.
None of this is of course definitive proof that this host isn't a webhost/proxy as I cannot prove a negative, and there are many software packages and methods that would evade technical inspection. But it is my opinion that this is  Unlikely to currently be a webhost, or a hola node. SQLQuery me! 21:58, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
@SQL: Speaking for myself and for the IP only, you don't have to prove a negative as far as I'm concerned. Your knowledge of webhosts, proxies, etc., far exceeds mine and I trust your judgment. There are other issues related to Zvikorn apparently admitting to socking with OrnitAvni (talk · contribs · count) (discussion at Number 57's Talk page on February 6). Because there was no SPI, I had no way of posting findings. If I had, my finding would have been  Possible. I'd like to see Zvikorn address the issue head on.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:24, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
@SQL: Same as Bbb23, I'm happy to go with your expertise here. But that apparent socking is of concern, and I'd like to hear an explanation too. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:44, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
@Boing! said Zebedee, Huon, Bbb23, and Yamla:, The issue here is that the IP is blocked as a webhost. In my opinion, the IP is not a webhost. It does belong to Triple C, but is unlikely involved with triple-c computing. If there is a belief that this account is socking, the appropriate course of action would be to hardblock this account, and it's socks, is it not?

To all involved, I apologize for the delay. I am traveling, and don't have a consistent schedule, nor reliable internet access. SQLQuery me! 02:07, 23 March 2019 (UTC)

Good Morning to BBB23. As stated on the previous appeal without the ip I was on an overnight school field trip to the Druze village of Julies during the day of February sixth/7. I logged on from a library and forgot to sign out of the account. The admin thought I was using two accounts but this is untrue. All proof that is needed for the trip can be sent. IsraeliIdan (talk) 06:31, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
Is there a date I should expect this to be reviewed? IsraeliIdan (talk) 06:30, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
Unblock requests go in a queue reviewed by volunteers in their free time. Obvious cases may be reviewed in a few minutes, others the a couple of weeks. That depends on the number of edits to review, open questions and the time it needs to consult the blocking admin, because admins will strongly avoid Wheelwaring. Jannik Schwaß (talk) 06:50, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
If I understad Zvikorn's explanation correctly, they used some library computer to edit Wikipedia without realizing that someone else had forgotten to log out and that they were using that other person's account? That sounds possible. It does not, however, explain the overlap in interests between Zvikorn and the editor whose account Zvikorn accidentally used. Both seem to have quite a bit of insider knowledge of Nuseir Yassin, for example, and that topic isn't closely related to Hashtag United F.C., another shared interest of the two accounts. Currently the accounts aren't blocked for sockpuppetry, though maybe they should be. That, however, is not the issue in the unblock request, which deals with an IP blocked for being a webhost. Bbb23, in light of SQL's comments above, would you agree that the webhosting block on the IP can be lifted? If there are sockpuppetry concerns regarding the accounts, those can be dealt with in other ways. Huon (talk) 20:48, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

I unblocked the IP, but the IP range is also blocked, for longer. I asked the blocking admin for a comment. Huon (talk) 03:12, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

Notice of edit warring

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at 2019 Israeli legislative election shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

Good day admins, I have been in an edit war with another admin and ask the reviewing admin to be someone different. I am trying to change the information on Zack Hample to the truth. I have provided video proof that he has not been banned and has not pushed kids to try to get baseballs.]] The sources provided by GB are not the truth because of my video proof. The sites cited should be banned from Wikipedia and at least have a notice as the daily mail does. Also, I request that the admin Gb be investigated as he is seen in conflict a lot. He even has a notice at the top of his talk page. He has also reverted my edit 3 times in the past 24 hours as well. I can provide a plethora of more sources need be. This is unfdsair ban and your siding with the admin just because he is one. Edit: This rule has examptions. I think 4 & 7 apply. Reverting obvious vandalism—edits that any well-intentioned user would agree to constitute vandalism, such as page blanking and adding offensive language. Removal of clear copyright violations or content that unquestionably violates the non-free content policy (NFCC). What counts as exempt under NFCC can be controversial, and should be established as a violation first. Consider reporting to the Wikipedia:Files for discussion noticeboard instead of relying on this exemption. Also, an admin counts as an editor so shouldn't he be blocked as well

Hashtag United Sunday League team

The information you added about Hashtag's Sunday league team was not correct. The Academy did not become the Sunday league team as both were established in 2017. Also, two of the three references you used did not support the claims being made.

Given the extremely poor quality of your additions to this article in terms of formatting and factual accuracy, I think it would be best if you stopped editing it. It would be better if you suggested any future changes on the talk page so that they can be checked for veracity, accuracy and suitability. Thanks, Number 57 19:02, 1 June 2019 (UTC)

The Academy did not become the Sunday league team. This is from the Academy playing a match in January 2018. By then the Sunday league team had been playing for half a season, so it's clearly not correct that the Academy became the Sunday league team as the two teams co-existed. The fact that some players played for both means nothing as a club may use its players for different teams. Number 57 20:20, 1 June 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Unistream (entrepreneurship)

Hello Zvikorn,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Unistream (entrepreneurship) for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

An article you recently created, Israel at the 2019 European Baseball Championship, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Netty's status as PM

So you're saying the prime ministership is vacant? GoodDay (talk) 14:16, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

@GoodDay: 1. Like the Netty 2. It's not vacant. Netty is the interim PM until there is a new government. This is how the article has been since April. IsraeliIdan (talk) 14:19, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
Interim PM, means there's no PM & somebody is filling in between the last PM & the next PM. Are you going to make such a change at List of current heads of state and government (for example), which has Netty as Prime Minister? GoodDay (talk) 14:21, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
@GoodDay: That is not true. Interim means caretaker. He is the pm but until there is an elected replacement. Also, this how the article has been since April. @El C: @Number 57: Do you guys agree? IsraeliIdan (talk) 14:24, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
The position is never technically vacant. There's always a PM to hand off the PMship over to the next PM (even when they're the same person). El_C 16:05, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

Your most recent edits to the election article were still really poorly formatted. It was only a couple of days ago that I pointed out that you shouldn't leave spaces between punctuation and references and shouldn't leave references as bare urls. WP:Competence is required to edit Wikipedia, and if you continue to demonstrate a lack of it, then eventually your editing rights are going to be withdrawn. It's not fair to expect other editors to clean up the mess you leave behind. Thanks, Number 57 12:15, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

@Number 57: Hey, I don't know why my edits and references are turning out this way. This has never been a problem in my 3+ years of editing. IsraeliIdan (talk) 12:20, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
Also on my screen there is no difference between your latest version of the article and mine. IsraeliIdan (talk) 12:23, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
Yes it has been a problem before. Here's you doing exactly the same thing in June. Number 57 12:28, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
@Number 57: Could you explain what the problem is? I want to solve this. Attached is my view: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yh-J5ww354nHDxrcCDVS65bb87_bzhUaCj9abv3C8cI/edit?usp=sharing IsraeliIdan (talk) 12:45, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
There is a space between the punctuation and the reference tag – it is visible in your document on the second page after the phrase "they won the league". But it is also visible when you look at the actual article. The bare urls is an issue you seem to be ignoring. Number 57 20:23, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
@Number 57: Got it, I understand that after punctuating a sentence that will be referenced I shall insert it like this.[1] I still dont understand what you mean by bare urls. When I copy a reference I just CTRL A+C the url and paste it in the box. IsraeliIdan (talk) 04:11, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
Yes, that's correct. A bare url is when you leave the reference as just a url (as you have done with the Youtube link. You should format it, either by doing something like this,[2] or by using a template like {{citation}}. Number 57 10:07, 20 September 2019 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Moshe Abutbul (politician)

Hello, Zvikorn,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Meatsgains and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Moshe Abutbul (politician) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Moshe Abutbul (politician).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Meatsgains}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Notice

The article Sami Abu Shehadeh has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Awesome Aasim 18:43, 21 September 2019 (UTC)

Final warning re editing competence

I've just seen the articles on MKs you've created, and to put it bluntly, they're appalling.

  • In the Mark Efremov article, you have spelt his name "Iperaimov", left a space before a close parenthesis, failed to insert a space in "22ndKnesset", missed out a word in "on behalf Yisrael Beiteinu", referred to him as "Mark" throughout the article, left a [1] in the middle of the text (presumably as you've put it through Google translate, failed to translate things like Sderot Beiteinu properly, and used "her" instead of "its" (again, presumably a Google translate issue that you've not bothered checking), spelt Nalchik two different ways (Nalchik and Nalczyk), and incorrectly capitalised the "Personal Life" heading.
  • In the Jabar Asatra article, you've spelt his name "Jaber Asakala" (and later "Jabbar"), failed to link to Maghar correctly (leaving a redlink to Ma'ar) and left a few nonsensical sentences from Google translate. The article has also been left unreferenced, which is not acceptable for a WP:BLP, hence its nomination for deletion.
  • In the Sami Abu Shehadeh article, you've spelt his name "Sami Abu Shahada", incorrectly capitalised the "Political Career" and "Personal Life" sections, and written BLD instead of Balad and "Balan Ghanaiim" instead of "Mazen Ghnaim"
  • In the Alex Kushner article, you've spelt his name "Alexander Kushnir", left an underscore in Yisrael_Beiteinu, incorrectly capitalised the "Personal Life" section.
  • In the Moshe Abutbul (politician) article, you've used the nonsensical phrase "with 45.74 % Of voter votes", referred to the Jewish Home party as "Jewish House" (presumably using Google translate again), spelt his name "Abutball", and used various other phrases that don't make sense in English.

In all of the above articles you've failed to use the {{reflist}} template or add the articles to categories, and have again left bare urls despite my repeated pointing out of this above.

Whilst any editor is going to make errors, the scale and consistency of what you're doing clearly suggests that you do not have the competence required to edit English Wikipedia without leaving a mess that other editors have to spend a good deal of time cleaning up. You've used Google translate and copied word-for-word in places even though it doesn't make sense in English.

As a result, please consider this a final warning. If any of the above-mentioned problems are repeated in future edits, you will be blocked from editing. Number 57 18:59, 21 September 2019 (UTC)

Should Nuseir Yassin be moved to Nas Daily?

It doesn't matter as long as there is a redirect. Deb (talk) 15:50, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

@Deb: There currently is not one. Could you create a redirect? IsraeliIdan (talk) 15:52, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
If you don't know how to do it. Deb (talk) 17:35, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
Ah, no, I don't think I should because it was deleted as a result of this discussion. So I think you should ask the deleting administrator. Deb (talk) 18:01, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
The deteting admin was banned. @Deb: IsraeliIdan (talk) 07:00, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
You're mistaken. The deleting admin was User:Amakuru.Deb (talk) 08:15, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
I did the most recent deletion, but the closer of the original AFD mentioned above was User:Premeditated Chaos. It looks like the Nuseir Yassin article is about substantially the same subject, so technically is a recreation of a deleted subject. That said, though, the article looks reasonably sourced and has been around for more than a year so would need a fresh AFD if it were to be deleted. As for the name, I suggest starting a WP:RM dicussion if you'd like it moved to Nas Daily.  — Amakuru (talk) 08:30, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
@Amakuru: Thank You for your help, I have now listed it for a move at the talk page. Unsure if supposed to list on the article too. 08:35, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
No worries, happy to help. And there is no need to do anything on the article itself - there is a bot which takes care of that for you, as you can see here: [1]. Thanks  — Amakuru (talk) 08:52, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
