Blue Goose

I noticed you had the railroad turbine Blue Goose under "articles that need to be created," and I was wondering if you had any specific sources for that. I have a book that has a couple paragraphs on it, probably enough to create a stub article, and would be interested in doing so, but was wondering if you had any other possible sources as well. Thanks. C628 (talk) 01:51, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

Acela ridership

I disagree with your revert, please see the Acela Express talk page for more. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 17:43, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

After reviewing your discussion, if your edit summary had stated something similar to "removing facts not supported by reference" I probably would not have reverted. The edit summary you gave "removing content that applies to all train users - and not just Acela" led me to believe that your issue was with the removed content, and not the reference, and I reverted you due to the fact that the content was clearly about the article subject. Big Boy - Comparisons

You're obviously a vastly experienced editor -- 40,000 edits on 15,000 articles. I wonder why you chose to be offensive in reverting what was obviously a lot of work -- "steaming non encyclopedic pile of original research"?

I'm ready to discuss the question of where we should put a comparison of the various factors that go into the "biggest", "heaviest", etc. steam locomotive. I think it's clear there needs to be a page with such information -- the articles on the five locomotives on which I provided information all make claims that are partially wrong -- but it's harder have the discussion when I start off angry.

Anyway, perhaps you would take a look Talk:Union Pacific Big Boy#Comparisons and comment there. Thanks, . . . . Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talkcontribs) 17:53, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Just curious, what's wrong with this edit (or the previous one, rather). Don't we use the template anymore? --Conti| 11:28, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Feel free to undo if the edit is valid, as my issue is with the persistent (14 month spree) Banned sockmaster who made the edits. WuhWuzDat 11:30, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Alright, thanks for the clarification. --Conti| 11:34, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

I see that after reverting an edit and asking for talk, no response. If you weren't sincere about it, I'm going to reinstate it. --Busjack (talk) 14:18, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

You and User:Lost on belmont, being the 2 parties in the edit war, should be the ones having the discussion. I was simply VERY disappointed in the so called "solution" you came up with, deleting material due to an alleged "Impossibility" to keep updated, when others were at least attempting to try. WuhWuzDat 14:44, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
In that there is no verifiable way to do so (either in this instance or the people who were trying to track how many buses were left after each scrapping), I don't think it adds to the article, which is what I said on the talk page. If you have some way of doing it in a verifiable manner that doesn't spread misinformation, please inform us how to do so, instead of just reverting with a warning. Busjack (talk) 16:40, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
As the "misinformation", and the fact that "You don't think it adds to the article", seem to be YOUR opinion only, and have caused an edit war, perhaps it may be time to step back away from the article for a while, and let cooler heads prevail. See also; Wikipedia:Drop the stick and back slowly away from the horse carcass, and WP:Consensus. WuhWuzDat 17:10, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
I see you found a way not to answer the question. There would not have been this edit war if you had not taken it upon yourself to revert my change, when I gave a perfectly sound reason for it consistent with the so called principles of Wikipedia.Busjack (talk) 18:21, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Get your facts STRAIGHT. The edit war on this article ENDED (not STARTED) with my reversion of your edit, along with my warning in the edit summary of this same reversion to "get real, and DISCUSS this on the talkpage before ANY further edits! This means BOTH of you!". I was not a party to the edit war between you and Lost on Belmont, but I do have a desire to see it ended, with OUT damage to the article. I have seen no real attempt at rational discussion on this subject yet, simply angry angst filled rhetoric from you and you alone. No attempt at consensus building whatsoever, simply repeating that your way is the only way. Now either wait for the other party to respond and discuss with him, or Drop the stick and back slowly away from the horse carcass, as consensus would seem to be against your edit at this time. WuhWuzDat 18:39, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Since I see you don't either want to deal with facts or answer the question (I said I was stopping the edit war, but you restarted it), good day to you, another self-proclaimed cop of the Wiki zoo. Busjack (talk) 19:21, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
A: You never asked a question.
B: Please provide a diff where you stated you were stopping the edit war.
C: Explain how my edit (the most recent at this time) caused a restart of the edit war (that must not have happened yet, unless some strange time paradox has occurred).
D: Next time I see you involved in something like this, I'll just request full page protection due to content dispute, rather than trying to help by mediating.
E: If I'm a "keeper of the wikizoo", I'd like to remind all the animals that their cages are never locked, and they are free to leave/escape at any time. In fact, in some cases, I might even suggest it. WuhWuzDat 05:53, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Your changes to my edits

Wuhwuzdat,

I am not sure why you are changing my entries for asset based lending and factoring. I am a member of both the IFA and CFA and both of these organizations have valuable information on asset based lending and factoring beyond what is on wikipedia. You are allowing other organizations to have a link to their sites so why are you deleting my recommendations? Please respond respectfully to me as I have to you. I am new to Wikipedia and would like professional courtesy in answering my questions. Linda50Words (talk) 21:11, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

From your edit here it is quite clear that you are editing wikipedia to promote your admitted client, the "International Factoring Association". This is a violation of at least 2 Wikipedia policies, WP:SPAM and WP:COI. I would STRONGLY recommend that you familiarize yourself with both of these policies before further editing, as continuing down your current path will only reslut in further reversions, or having you reported for guerrilla spamming. Hello Wuhwuzdat. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Keizersgracht 143, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The reason given is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 20:04, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

June 2010

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Animal protection. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Both you and the other editor need to stop reverting each other, and discuss your dispute at the talk page. Correcting information while respecting COI

Dear Wuhwuzdat, I am new to Wikipedia, and could use your help understanding how to edit correctly. I came here at the behest of the editor of Engineering News Record, who suggested that I should correct and amend inaccurate information on Gensler and Shanghai Tower as listed in Wikipedia articles.

I work for Gensler, the company that is the subject of the articles Gensler and Shanghai Tower and M. Arthur Gensler, Jr.. I am attempting to correct inaccurate information (including removing images that we own, but have not released or given permission to use), add images to augment points made by previous authors, and add citations to support the correct information. What is the best way for me to correct inaccurate information without violating any Wikipedia rules?

My intent is to make the information on Wikipedia correct, and substantiated. For example, in the "Gensler" article, the founders of the company are incorrect. The correct names of our company's founders are "Arthur Gensler, Drue Gensler and James R. Follett." There was no Jimmy Williams when we opened our doors. Additionally, the list of locations in the article is incorrect. These are two examples; there are several others I attempted to correct, and when I did so, I cited sources. I am not trying to add marketing material or editorial content; I am trying to correct written information and add illustrations and citations that I thought would be helpful. What should I do differently?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Antique Ceramics and Antique Furniture additions

I recently added advice on caring for antique ceramics and antique furniture and noticed that they were proposed for deletion due to them being too much of a "how-to guide". Would the information be more acceptable if I re-worded the text to be more factual, or if I added more information to the sections?

Or alternatively would a link to this information be acceptable? I would like to have this advice on here as it is important to antique collectors.

Firstly I don't see why you felt the information needed to be removed but I very much object to being put on a vandalism warning for it. AFDs from 7th

Hi, just wondering if the issue is resolved, you created about 17 deletion discussions and there hasn't been a single delete comment in any of them. I realize your issue and some of the keep comments are not really in policy but the general position seems to be that as they are notable in a few weeks that we might as well keep them and work to improve, I was going to close them all as keep, do you have an objection to that? Off2riorob (talk) 21:04, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

If you feel the consensus is "keep", feel free to close as such. I felt these 17 articles were all borderline on WP:CRYSTAL, and nominated them due to that. The creator of these pages was in such a hurry to rubber-stamp these articles into being, that he/she never even bothered to change the gender from male to female in the case of the women who were elected. WuhWuzDat 06:58, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
I actually agree with your position, but I am extremely doubtful that any editor consensus exists for the position, setting the precedent would likely need a lengthier community discussion and a wider audience than AFD attracts.....I have done a similar thing myself with multiple playgirl BLP article, sometimes it is good to test the water. Ah, User:Ron Ritzman has closed them. Best regards.Off2riorob (talk) 10:53, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion articles

Hi there, you changed my speedy delete tag on Industrial Steel Treating Company from previously deleted to spam, is there a difference between articles that has been speedy deleted in the past and articles that have gone through AFD? I might be picking the wrong category for attaching to these recreated articles, but I can't seem to find one :(.. Cheers Carl Sixsmith (talk) 07:48, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Yes, the "repost"/G4 tag you used is ONLY for articles that were deleted by AfD discussion. Any recreation of material deleted by speedy deletion should be tagged as if it never existed before (however, checking the logs for the page may give the reasons for previous deletions) WuhWuzDat 07:58, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

User:Toomanywordstoolittletime‎

For what its worth, I disagree with your characterization of Toomanywordstoolittletime‎ (talk · contribs) as a spammer; I believe they were a new editor contributing in good faith, who does not understand Wikipedia policies and guidelines. I had been having a discussion with the user over the past few days on my talk page regarding their articles Jenny Sawyer and 60second Recap. It was only today, after they restored the 60second Recap article that they began adding the external links.

Granted, they were making a lot of promotional entries, but they had also been doing some minor fixes to articles. They do seem to have some ownership issues, which frequently makes alignment towards working within site guidelines difficult (and sometimes impossible); but I had hoped they could be made a productive contributor to Wikipedia. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 16:56, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

For the record, they were accusing me of calling them a "spammer", before I had ever typed the word in reference to them. The users use of the term "senior moderator" in reference to me (on your talk page) is somewhat of am mystery to me as well, as Wikipedia does not have "moderators", nor did I assert any mention of any "title" here. However, given the subject matter (A website that save you time by not having to actually read "Too Many Words"), the users choice of name here (see the guerrilla COI?), and his SPA status, I stand behind my actions. WuhWuzDat 17:08, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
I had also wondered about a possible COI, but in the absence of clear evidence, had chosen to assume good faith. As to their comments about "senior moderators", they had mentioned on my talk page having experience with wiki software at some other site which they never named, which would tie with their apparent familiarity with wiki-markup. I believe the community and moderation of that other site was likely different than Wikipedia's structure; I too had originally contributed to another wiki which had very different admin/moderator oversight compared to Wikipedia, so I had been willing to accept those comments - although I should have given greater effort towards clarifying it to them.
I am confused by your comment "they were accusing me of calling them a "spammer", before I had ever typed the word in reference to them" ... their comments about you calling them a spammer weren't made until after they received warnings on their user talk page here and here; so it does appear that they were correct that you had labelled them as a spammer prior to their claiming you had called them one. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 17:37, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
As the user was indef-blocked for spamming, this conversation is now quite academic. Suffice it to say that he was warned, using standard user warnings I felt were appropriate for the situation. One of these warning did contain the phrase "Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted", but as you can see, this only applies to "persistent" spammers, and for the user to infer that this applied to them would be tantamount to their pleading guilty to "persistent spamming". If you have a problem with the phraseology of the templates, I'm sure there is a talk page someplace on this website to discuss this. WuhWuzDat 17:55, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Moderator is sometimes used interchangeably with SYSOP. Perhaps this is an old-school user. That's what we called them 20+ years ago.Asher196 (talk) 18:19, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
I'm quite aware of that fact, but I never refer to myself as an Admin, Sysop, or Moderator in relation to this or any other website except my own (and up till this point in time, I have never even mentioned on wikipedia that I have my own (non notable) website). The users referral to me in that matter was obviously due to their own false conclusions. WuhWuzDat 18:24, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Re your recent edits to List of management consulting firms

I have reverted your recent wholesale edits to List of management consulting firms as unconstructive and unsupported by WP policies and guidelines. Your comments on the talk page: The descriptions do not belong in this list, that is what the individual company articles are for. To my knowledge, this is the only "list" I have seen on Wikipedia with this amount of detail for each entry appear to be your personal opinion and not supported by policy. You should be aware of several things:

  • The article was subject to an AfD in May 2010 the result of which was Keep. The nomination was withdrawn and the article kept for the very reason, that it was improved by strengthening the lead and adding explanatory content to each entry. Your wholesale removal of the lead, entry content and other links have now rendered the article in about the same shape it was before the AfD.
  • WP:SAL and WP:CLN both encourage strong list leads and explanatory entries (WP:AOAL).
  • The fact that there are 75,000+ standalone lists in WP and this is the only list you’ve seen with expanded entry content tells me you should look a bit harder. Lots of lists have solid leads and expanded entry content.

If you are seriously interested in improving this article, please do so, as other editors have, by adding notable entries, removing non-notable ones, providing sources where appropriate and copy-editing the prose. But, please don’t just make wholesale deletions of content because you don’t like it. --Mike Cline (talk) 14:56, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

INKAS

Regarding the INKAS article I created. Can we redirect the armored vehicle article to the INKAS article instead? I should of created the INKAS article in the beginning. Theres so much more to INKAS then just armored vehicles. I also included more references in the new INKAS article that you directed to the armored vehicle one.

This would make every one happy I believe, as the armored vehicle article will be deleted and the new INKAS article containing info on all aspects of the company will have verified and notable references. What do you think? Dillonraphael (talk) 01:54, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

I Think you are trying to find away around the AfD process. Any substantial recreation of an Afd'd article is subject to speedy deletion , category G4. WuhWuzDat 06:38, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

All honesty i'm not. I rather go through the poll process of the new article I created. The new article has a lot more information on the company then the original one. Read for your self. You got to understand, I spent a lot of time on that new article, as well as a lot of revisions. I even created the article in my own usergroup to make it perfect.Dillonraphael (talk) 16:28, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

User deletion

I am writing to contest the deletion of my user page, Jessdfacts[1]. The page was a work in progress and had not been published, so it did not violate any conditions set forth by Wikipedia. Additionally, your claim of copyright infringement is false and therefore cannot be verified. Your speedy deletion erased all of my contribution history, so I cannot recover and edit the work that you unjustly removed. I am requesting the immediate restoration of my user page and all the content it contained.

As I am not an Admin or sysop here, restoration of the page is not within my ability. I would sincerely doubt the admin who deleted the page will restore it, as it was an unambiguous copyright infringement of a copyrighted webpage. WuhWuzDat 17:51, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Again, you are making a claim with the facts to back them up. There is no copyright infringement. If you cannot restore my user page, who can? Jessdfacts (talk) 18:00, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
If you will kindly click the red link for the deleted page on your user talk page, you will see that an admin deleted the page as a copyright infringement. You may ask him or her to restore it, but as all the information had been copied verbatim from another website, I sincerely doubt it will be restored. WuhWuzDat 18:03, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
I'm starting to suspect your motives. On the Integrated Library System Wikipedia page [2], you deleted the ILS systems offered by The Library Corporation and reported them as spam, even though TLC is a legitimate, international company; links were provided to the company's active Web site; and other Propriety vendors are allowed to list their products. I am going to restore the ILS systems that you deleted and, if this continues, will report your actions to a Wikipedia administrator. --Jessdfacts (talk) 18:43, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi. I have declined your speedy on this one, as I think there is enough here to pass A7, and I have been advising the newbie author who has been through a trying loop of BLPprod - copyvio - deleted - REFUND - copyvio again with intent to rewrite but zapped again - new version, BLPprod plus A7. I will keep an eye on it and get it referenced; it may end up at PROD/AfD but we'll give it a chance. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:55, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital

Thank you for looking over the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Wiki Page. I am still very new to Wikipedia so please be patient with me while I am still learning. I apologize if my edits violated any rules of being "a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion". Those were not my intentions nor will they ever be. I tried my best to compose a page within Wikipedia's standards by linking and sourcing as much as possible to prove verifiability. I guess I over did it. I am also not totally clear about the rules, as I see many similar organizations on Wikipedia posting similar type of information as I did for SRH. Also, I am sure not all of my edits violated the rules. I thought it was unnecessary to delete all my edits.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could look over my edits and make specific edits of your own, so it the page will comply with Wikipedia standards and be informational to the general public as well. Thank you for your time and consideration. PaintingOfViolets (talk) 18:02, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about deleting "All" your edits, but the reversion tool I use does not allow partial reverts. But lets be honest, searching for non-advertising material in your additions would have been like searching for a needle in a haystack. Perhaps it may be time to tell your bosses that Wikipedia is NOT an advertising media, and to expend their efforts elsewhere. As for the "many similar organizations on Wikipedia posting similar type of information as you did for SRH.", if you would kindly point me in their direction, I'd be happy to trim the Spam out of them. I would like to point out the guidelines explained at WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS, for further explanation of why that sort of argument doesn't work here. I'd also like to re-remind you of WP:COI, due to the fact that you are OBVIOUSLY the same user as the previous COI editor from your organization. [[User:Wuhwuzdat|<font color="#2

Hi there, you recently speedy tagged this article and I agreed with your tag and deleted it. However I have restored the article after the originating editor approached me and I trawled through its slightly complicated history. I've summarised this at the article's talk page and given my reasons why I still think the subject is non-notable. If you feel like giving your opinion there I would value your views. I declined your speedy on this as it doesn't seem to promote any specific companies product and the external links are not commercial. I also did a search to see if it was a copyvio, but that didn't show anything either. I think it's a translation from something written in Spanish, maybe even Spanish language WP. You might want to drop the user working on the article a note and try and establish a dialogue. Definitely needs some cleanup work if nothing else. --GraemeL (talk) 17:02, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Just Afd'd it..read the 1st line of the 2nd paragraph of the article, and you will see why. WuhWuzDat 17:04, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Hm, not sure what you're referring to there. Quote it here for me. It does seem to be focusing on a single system, but I can't see where it actually mentions that system by name. AfD seems a reasonable enough way to push it if there's doubts though. More eyes and all that. --GraemeL (talk) 17:09, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Process question

I often advise new editors to start draft articles in user subpages. That doesn't make them immune to CSD, but I've been telling them that if they avoid attacks and copyright infringement (G10 and G12), they probably won't be bothered, and can develop a draft in peace.

Do you disagree with this advice?

I agree that User:Cubeworks/GEM Motoring Assist is problematic as it stands, and should be CSD'd if moved in main space as is, but I don't see the harm in letting the editor work on improving it, possibly with a note on the talk page to outline concerns. --SPhilbrickT 16:48, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Being asked to give an admin advice? I'm honored! In this particular case, I'd clobber that article with the spam hammer ASAP! Please read the COI notice I placed on his page, in particular the external link, as "cubeworks" is www.cubeworks.co.uk, a website design/pr firm. We have little hope of a PR firm creating a non promotional article. WuhWuzDat 16:54, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Well hello Wuhwuzdat. It's been a long time since I've editted, and when I did edit I saw you around a lot and respected you as a veteran editor. I used to have a mentor but he has since retired from Wikipedia and I am in need of some advice/second opinion. Looking at this article at first, it looked like a BLP with some unsourced libel issues. I posted a notice on the BLP noticeboard. After looking at the article again and reviewing the references, I'm now questioning if this is a hoax. Could you take a look and let me know your opinion? Is it speedy/prod/afd worthy? Should I remove the libel material for now until it can be discovered whether this is a real and notable person? Should I wait for someone on the noticeboard? Thanks.--v/r - TP 19:13, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Hoax, ref's were pure BS, none of them even mentioned the subject. Tagged for CSD as such. WuhWuzDat 19:18, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Just to let you know, I encourage new editors to start pages in user sub pages (making sure they are noindexed), and let them know they can develop an article in peace (as long as they avoid Copyvio and attacks). I agree that the User:Anbienhp/DTK Consulting page wouldn't be acceptable in the main space as is, but I also think it could be developed into an acceptable article, so I declined the speedy.--SPhilbrickT 14:07, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

That link

http://www.univeril.net/ is the parent company site. Quite a bit is 'page not found' and the JBA page has lorem ipsum in it. I don't think they have finished the site, despite the 2009 date... In fact, quite a lot of the site and subsidiaries has a 'not yet ready' or 'gone away' look. Reminds me of a young friend's video making operation which has just collapsed. Good ideas (and in her case good video), but the luck was lacking. Or was it the business acumen? Peridon (talk) 13:31, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

I disagree. It's clearly advertising himself. The first thing on the page is a direct link to his resume, specifically it violates "Advertising or promotion of an individual, business, organization, group, or viewpoint unrelated to Wikipedia (such as commercial sites or referral links)". The second sentance is describing his certification. I can't seem to find that stuff on my page. My user page is overwhelmingly Wikipedia related. His is 60% about advertising himself. (I'll give him credit for the 1 Wikipedia related sentance.)--v/r - TP 15:45, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Graham Hine

Hi Wuhwuzdat,

This is by way of a round-robin.

Rumaging through Wiki and I found the page for a Graham Hine. I notice that this article was flagged for speedy deletion by userWuhwuzdat which was then Criterion A7 declined. The assertion that this Hine was with Brett Marvin and the Thunderbolts and was associated with Jona Lewie and Keef Trouble is completely false. The Brett Marvin Hine ( http://www.grahamhine.com ) was born in 1949 in South London and was brought up in Crawley, and was a founder member of Brett Marvin In 1966ish, (and aka Terry Dactyl in 1970), and still is a member of that extant band. Also he never had or has cancer. Now, either this article is a spoof, or red link user KeefReef had a post Christmas brainstorm :)

The links to a website (as references) (at Jan 5th) are not recognized. When user EoGuy changed the website link to that above, red-link user Shaky Spades returned it to the dead link. No references or external links are viable, and I cannot find any reference to this Graham Hine under the entries in Discography. What we are left with is: Graham Hine was born in Southampton 1944 and is a cancer survivor… stub for cancer survivors?

I think that the Graham Hine I refer to above is probably worth an article, but I do not think I should edit this article around him as I am too closely associated with him. However, I shall pass this on to a Wiki editor who has an extensive British music knowledge base for him to pass judgement. Provisionally, I feel that userWuhwuzdat had the right idea regarding deletion.

Acabashi (talk) 21:12, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your kind welcome; I had deliberately waited until my 42nd birthday to create a user account Re:Douglas Adams, and have been welcomed repeatedly the last few months. It's nice to see civility in such large measure here when it seems noticeably absent elsewhere online. I'd already joined WP:USCongress, where most of my interests and edits are, though I will have to see what else is on the project list. Our interests do not seem to overlap; much of my work is in tables, and I copy a lot of formatting from examples elsewhere once I've puzzled out the how and why. Laughed at 'semi-retired' with your 500 edits in 15 days. I know to be civil, I don't edit mad, and abhor vandals/ism. I'll ask for help if I see you're active. Cheers. OK, I guess I was wrong. At the time I did that I thought I had blocked him ... it was after a string of several, including the two where I got confused. It's happened before. As long as someone made the block ultimately. Daniel Case (talk) 23:21, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

deletion note for "Steve Acito"

wow - your contributions to wiki are impressive...I see that you've noted for deletion due to lack of sources. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Acito I know it is completely obvious that I am new to wiki and as I learn more I hope to be a contributor to help the community. Please forgive my ignorance but I have tried to read and research every article and link proposed to help with the lack of reference / source material and I don't seem to be able to provide a solution. I have source material and references for every fact stated but I fear I'm linking incorrectly and not being efficient. any help or insight at all that you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I need a wiki guru's help to get beyond where I'm at...I'm not being self effacing but I am having a hard time understanding the back end of how to do things.

yes steve is alive but I believe he should be on here as he's directed some relatively important programs and worked on some projects where connectivity and support should be out there

please help if you can or don't mind,

thank you for any insight at all. Cinematographer23 (talk) 01:27, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy decline

I declined the CSD on User:Sm4150/OneChicago, LLC. Please see my strong message to the editor at User talk:Sm4150--SPhilbrickT 00:37, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Hello Wuhwuzdat. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Bruce Montgomery (British Fashion Menswear Consultant), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Article claims coverage in reliable sources. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 01:45, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

police forces

I think you will find every county police dept of sufficient size is considered notable. Myself, I don't really agree, & I used to nominate some for deletion--they were all kept, however. So at least they're not speedies unless they are copyvios, which is of course always worth checking. DGG ( talk ) 01:36, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

PROD... :P

At least the "eel-flavored ice cream" is better than the "anchovy-flavored ice cream", the "dog-biscuit-flavored ice cream", or ewww the "haggis-flavored ice cream". This is also looking like a hoax, with the addition of "Smurf-flavored ice cream", "marijuana-flavored ice cream", "Sex-Pistol-flavored ice cream", and WTF? "Viagra-flavored ice cream". link Reaper Eternal (talk) 20:24, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion converted to PROD: Amar Achey Jol

Hello Wuhwuzdat. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Amar Achey Jol to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:51, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

A7 declined

Just a quick follow-up regarding MONA FOMA. I declined the A7 CSD request as editors have since added external links to the article showing independent coverage and A7 no longer applies. You can of course still take it to AfD if notability remains a concern. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:56, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Ooops

I just saw your edit notice regarding not leaving notification if a CSD tag is changed - apologies as I think I may have done this to you recently via an automatic script. If I see the CSD is from you in the future I will make a mental note not to leave a note here if the reasoning is changed. You do awesome and sometimes thankless work here, so thank you. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 00:03, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

User:Localtvproducer and LosAl TV Studio 1

Not sure if you picked up on it, but I'm positive that Localtvproducer (talk · contribs) and Losaltvstudio1 (talk · contribs) are the same person. It's acceptable in this situation, as the Losaltvstudio1 account was blocked for username reasons, and the user was instructed to create a new account! This may be the only time that it's kosher to jump accounts like that while editing the same article, though. —C.Fred (talk) 06:13, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

…And then I see Mcjax (talk · contribs) jump into the fray also. You're right; now we've got socks at play. —C.Fred (talk) 06:14, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

I'm quite positive of it too, as shows in the edit summary of my revert of his speedy removal, here. The username block was the ONLY thing that kept him/them out of SPI, along with the 3rd account (probable meat puppet) WuhWuzDat 06:17, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion contested: Aljezur International School

Hi, I'm the author of the above mentioned page and understand you tagged the page for speedy deletion. I just wanted to let you know that following your recommendation and after reviewing the Wikipedia rules I have now re-written the page and hope you'll agree it is fit for purpose and can remove the speedy deletion tag. If you have any further concerns, please let me know so i can alter the page to make it acceptable. Thanks very much Algarve101 (talk) 16:07, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Still promotional. WuhWuzDat 16:09, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

I've removed all non-factual statements and re-worded some content. Hopefully it is now acceptable. If there are further issues with the text, could you please advise. Thanks again Algarve101 (talk) 16:29, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion contested: Harveys_SeatbeltBag

Please see my reasons behind why this article does not meet the standards to be nominated for speedy deletion in the articles talk page. Having a product name as the subject does not mean that it is promotional as stated in the definetion of a reason G11. I have no peacock terms, no pr-speak, I have valid references, notability, and it is written from a neutral standpoint. I have been attempting to rewrite this article for a while now and continue to hit road blocks. I am following every rule I can find for wikipedia regarding this and it seems as if veteran editors are making it very hard for new writers to show their talent and knowledge on a subject matter. Thank you in advance for taking the time to fully read the article and look at the third party references. SJayQ (talk) 16:47, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: R&A Promotions Co.,Ltd

Hello Wuhwuzdat. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of R&A Promotions Co.,Ltd, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Managing notable bands/acts is enough for A7. Take to AfD if required. Thank you. GedUK  21:48, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Are you an admin?

Are you an admin?

For some reason, I am not allowed to make a redirect to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mokichi_Okada or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mokichi_Okada#Nature_Farming which is what I was trying to do until the relative section has been built up enough to warrant a page of its own.

BTW, can you delete your comment off my talk page. Thank you. --Iyo-farm (talk) 01:45, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

No, I am not an admin, but I may still be able to offer some assistance. The reason your redirects failed, is that you used the full URL for each page, and the software interprets this as an attempt to redirect to an external website. If you tried using just the page name, or page name and section link , like"Mokichi Okada#Nature Farming" inside the redirect brackets, it would function properly. You may also feel free to delete comments off of your own talk page yourself. WuhWuzDat 02:18, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
I have also repaired your redirect at Kyusei Nature Farming. WuhWuzDat 02:29, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
They need to fix the software then because the error code given did not mention that. It said something about blacklists and I was checking when you intervened.
Can you report that to the right person because I have not got a clue who to do so. Thank you.
Regarding all the garbage on my talk page, can you just remove them completely? I far preferred the red link and an empty page and guess it will stick in the history now.
It would probably be better if you wait just a little time, and especially ask or offer help first, before slapping that tag on the page someone was working on. I probably would have worked it out or with your assistance.
--Iyo-farm (talk) 02:41, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Charles Bruffy

It looks like you proposed Charles Bruffy for deletion. I found some references for him, he seems to be not only an excellent choral conductor but also a Grammy award winner, performing in the newly renovated Alice Tully Hall. Rubbing my eyes I added a few refs. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:13, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: LGI Homes

Hello Wuhwuzdat. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of LGI Homes, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. Thank you. GedUK  09:30, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Gaisano Super City Mall Iligan

Hi! Just thought I'd leave a note to let you know I have declined your speedy deletion nomination of Gaisano Super City Mall Iligan, as malls are not eligible under A7. Thanks!  -- Lear's Fool 08:46, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

About your report of User:Robg2690 to WP:AIV

Thank you for your report to WP:AIV. However, it looked like this user was performing cut and paste moves. When I searched the FCC database at http://licensing.fcc.gov/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/sta_sear.htm , it showed that those stations were actually renamed. I therefore left an apology at this user's talk page and left him a link to Wikipedia:Moving a page in my apology on how to deal with things that need renaming. Twinkle on the fritz?

Is a setting acting up in Twinkle, or did you go one too far on a pull-down? Tradez does not fall under CSD A9: it's about a musician, not his music. It does fall under A7, though. —C.Fred (talk) 18:48, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Reading the article, his album name was "tradez"...but now that you mention it, my rollback/vandalism revert seems to be acting up...will look into that. WuhWuzDat 18:51, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Re: Awikipro

Sorry, thought I replied to you but I guess I forgot, I'm sorry. Anyway, thanks a lot for the report, as you've saw Bsadowski beat me to the ban - I was trying to fix my Firefox, without much luck, I've however deleted one of the templates and deleted some of the userpages created. Again, thanks a lot and have a nice day. Snowolf How can I help? 12:06, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

I don't take ORDERS very well...(grrrrr)...
