Welcome![edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! CorenSearchBot (talk) 12:21, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sanjib Sahoo, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.marketswiki.com/mwiki/Sanjib_Sahoo.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Reply to your message on my talk page[edit]

We don't want readers of the encyclopedia to come upon blank or "watch-this-space" pages, and people often blank a page and then leave it when they have made a mistake, so blanked pages get deleted. If you want to take time over making an article, the best way is to click on Help:Userspace draft and fill in the title; that will make a draft page where you can work on the article until it is ready. Alternatively, you can use the WP:Article wizard to guide you through the process.

Read WP:Your first article for advice, and also WP:Copy-paste and WP:Biographies of living persons.

On talk pages (but not in articles) it helps to know who said what when if you sign your contributions, by ending them with four "tilde" characters ~~~~, which the system converts into a signature with your username and the time and date, like this: JohnCD (talk) 13:01, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Sanjib Sahoo at Constellation Connected Enterprise winning 2014 International Supernova Award.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sanjib Sahoo at Constellation Connected Enterprise winning 2014 International Supernova Award.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 18:56, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image permissions[edit]

For third party images - procedure is outlined at WP:DCM, - basically one needs the copyright holder (often the photographer) to send/agree to the form at WP:CONSENT to the indicated Wikimedia e-mail address. The copyright holder needs to specify a license - if they say "it can be used on Wikipedia" then the e-mail is likely to get bounced back with "not explicit permission". Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Sanjib Sahoo. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Possible conflict of interest with Sanjib Sahoo[edit]

I see that you're the primary contributor to Sanjib Sahoo. I wonder if you don't have a conflict of interest, though. Nobody's saying that you can't edit if you do—just that you have to be careful to be neutral. For example, saying he "...came from humble beginnings in India and frequently shares his journey of taking risks, fearless attitude..." is completely biased, unencyclopedic, and laden with opinion and weasel words.

So, with that in mind, might I ask if you are Mr. Sahoo? If not, do you know him personally? – voidxor 22:07, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Just catching up after a long time. I am not Mr. Sahoo. I happened to meet Mr. Sahoo at a conference 2 years back, but not related to him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WikicontributorTH (talkcontribs) 03:56, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sanjib Sahoo, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page TechWeek. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, WikicontributorTH. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Sanjib Sahoo, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
  • instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

Last but not least: All contributors must not contribute content that violates conflict of interest laws (just as all contributors must respect copyright). The Unfair Commercial Practices Directive is valid throughout the European Union. In a German court decision in 2012 (that also relied on the directive) regarding Wikipedia: "The court held that when a company edits a Wikipedia article, the resulting text falsely creates the impression that the edit has no business-related purpose. By implication, the judges found that the average reader of Wikipedia articles expects to find objective and neutral information." That is a very very important condition, comparable to the FTC Guide" that consumers are likely to believe reflects the opinions, beliefs, findings, or experience of a party other than the sponsoring advertiser”. This expectation by consumers of neutral information on Wikipedia, requires that companies not write "their" WP articles for PR/marketing purposes.

Editors who are compensated for their contributions should make the disclosure by placing the {{connected contributor (paid)}} template at the top of the talk page of affected articles and filling in the parameters. They should also supply this information as part of a list on their user page of all their paid contributions.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. Thank you. – voidxor 17:35, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi... This is the editor of the biography. I am an amateur wiki editor who wrote this biography after meeting Sanjib at one of the conferences. It was partly to get familiar with wiki and partly because I was inspired by Sanjib and his transformational journey. WikicontributorTH (talk) 04:08, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi WikicontributorTH. I just want to reach out following the recent deletion of your first article. To reiterate, that article was deleted as a result of the subject (Mr. Sahoo) no quite being notable enough to warrant an article at this point in time. It is not personal, and I hope that you do not feel that way. I think you are a promising editor, and would like to see you edit other articles. As you know, Wikipedia is a volunteer project; we can never have enough help. So please don't get discouraged. Should you ever need help, you are always welcome to reach out to me on my talk page. Happy editing! – voidxor 19:25, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, WikicontributorTH. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Annabelle bexiga".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! —pythoncoder (talk | contribs) 17:01, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
