Hello Andrew! Thanks for supporting "esoppO"ing my request for adminship. :o) I always see you around Wikipedia a fair amount, and I'm sure that'll continue. Thanks again, and please leave me a message if you ever see something I could be doing better. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 23:50, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your offer of nomination and comments in Lar's RfA![edit]

We are here to build an encyclopedia!

Hi Werdna, and thank you for your offer to nominate me, and your supportive comments in my request for adminship! With a final tally of (109/5/1), I have been entrusted with adminship. It's been several weeks since the conclusion of the process, so hopefully you've had a chance to see me in action. Please let me know what you think! Thanks again, and I will do everything I can to justify the trust you've placed in me! ++Lar: t/c 03:25, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

File:Atlanticpuffin4.jpg Hello Andrew. Thank you for your cliched support at my request for adminship which ended at the overwhelming and flattering result of (160/1/0), and leaves me in a position of having to live up to a high standard of community expectation. You can see me in action and observe what then happened as a result. If you need any help with admin action, feel free to ask me and naturally, if I make any procedural mistakes, feel free to point them out. I look forward to working with you in the future. Archiving of talk pages[edit]

Hey, is it possible I can get that for my user talk? Would be terrifically helpful. Cheers. joshbuddytalk 03:03, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It sure is possible, just take a squizz at User:Werdnabot/Archiver/Howto. Thanks for your interest, WerdnaTc@bCmLt 06:53, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Werdnabot Oddity[edit]

Hey. Werdna bot just created a new talk page archive for me at User talk:Inshaneee/Archive/Jun06. Note that in my username, the 's' is capital (InShaneee) leading to the archive page being put in a weird place. Any idea why that would happen? --InShaneee 06:08, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies. When I added your archiver code, I made a mistake in the code. You'll find it's been fixed. WerdnaTc@bCmLt 06:51, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Erm, yes :) I copied it from last week, so it didn't include the timestamp. I'll leave myself a giant note for next week. Ral315 (talk) 03:58, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just a thought, you might consider moving this to User:Werdna648/'Pedia Patrol/Checkpage.css, so that only you and admins can edit it. It's a shame when you can't edit your own checkpage. AmiDaniel (talk) 11:23, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the idea =) Werdna (talk) 07:56, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your sig[edit]

Could you please shorten it? Besides the normal excessive wikitext the lack of spaces can result in annoyingly wide diffs. Kotepho 05:14, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When archiving..[edit]

File:Motherussia.jpg Hello Werdna648, and thank you for your support at my request for adminship, which ended with an awe-inspiring 86/1/2 result. My RfA[edit]

Hello, Werdna648/Archive/Archive-Jun06, and thank you for the supportive vote on my recent RfA! With a final vote of 84/1/4, I have now been entrusted with the mop, bucket and keys. I will be slowly acclimating myself to my new tools over the next months, but welcome any and all feedback and suggestions on how I might be able to use them to help the project. Thanks again! - Kukini 05:21, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Part of Bot[edit]

I'm trying to write a program in .NET that needs to look up some information from wikipedia. (I need to tell if certain people are active by checking their contributions for the last month). I don't need an entire bot because I don't want to write anything back (I'm just going to generate it and then I'll manual post it).

However, I'm getting back a message that wikipedia returned "(403) forbidden". I think I need to set up to handle cookies but don't remember how to. Have you faced this problem recently enough to remember how to get it to read wikipedia as a web page? RJFJR 02:02, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You need to send a User-agent header. Werdna (talk) 02:30, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. That fixed it. RJFJR 13:16, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Werdna648, thank you very much for your support in my recent Request for adminship, it passed with a final tally of (65/3/3) - which I find both amazing and humbling. I wish I had time to thank everyone personally, but I'm afraid all I can offer is this token of my gratitude. I hope to live up to your expectations/hopes. If at any stage you need to contact me, for help or a request or to point out a mistake in my conduct, please make sure to tell me on my talk page. --Fir0002 08:19, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Hi Werdna648/Archive/Archive-Jun06, thank you for voting in my RFA which failed eventually at a result of (91/51/8). I do not plan to run for adminship until a later date. Once again, I would like to thank you for voting. --Terence Ong (talk | contribs) 15:01, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Werdna, and thanks[edit]

Dear Werdna, thanks for your support during my recent request for adminship. It's a pleasure to work with great young admins like yourself with expertise and wisdom far beyond your years. If I'm doing anything I shouldn't just let me know. Be harsh if you have to... I won't cry (for too long). Seriously, thanks so much man -- Samir धर्म 08:18, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just so you know, I'm not an admin. :) But congrats. Werdna (talk) 22:33, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Werdnabot feature request[edit]

When Werdnabot archives, would it be possible for it to mention the name of the section being archived, instead of simply saying "1 section archived" or whatever? (Also, is there an option to have werdnabot archive less often? Perhaps once every few days?) --maru (talk) contribs 02:14, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, there may be insufficient room in the edit summary to mention which section is being archived (A recent archival edit archived 32 sections). The second one is something I'm considering. Werdna (talk) 03:45, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if there's insufficient room, then perhaps a conditional, with the short concise form as a fallback? --maru (talk) contribs 20:16, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your support in my RfA, which ended with the result of (74/0/0). If there is anything I can help with feel free to ask. Also, if there is anything I am doing wrong, please point that out as well. I look forward to working with you in the future.

Away[edit]

Hi all, just thought I'd let you know that I will be going away and will be uncontactable from about 10:30 tonight (ADST) to Thursday evening (ADST). No, I am not quitting Wikipedia, no I'm not taking a wikibreak, I just have cadet camp - and the middle of the Australian bush (Singleton, New South Wales) is not the best place to be contactable. Werdna (talk) 07:28, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks![edit]

Thanks for voting!
Hello Werdna648/Archive/Archive-Jun06, and thank you so much for voting in my recent RfA. I am pleased to inform you that it passed with a final tally of (119/1/3), into the WP:100, so I have now been cleared for adminship and will soon be soaring above the clouds. I was overjoyed, shocked, and humbled by the tally, and, most importantly, all the support. Thank you. If there is ever anything you need, you know where you can find me. Take care.

I'll be waiting for your Rfa, "mate." :) --Pilot|guy 22:34, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Instructions for Werdnabot?[edit]

Someone has inappropriately added this to an article Talk page. Is it enough to take out the inserted template and commented text? —Centrxtalk 00:35, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I won't pass judgement on the political aspects of the bot's use - and have no position on the use of Werdnabot automated archival on article talk pages. To answer your technical question, yes. Werdna (talk) 09:32, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
