License tagging for Image:MT Logo Trans 1.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MT Logo Trans 1.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:07, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Miami Township[edit]

Do not upload copyrighted content to Wikipedia and claim it as your own work, as you did with Image:Miamilogo.jpg. I suspect that Image:KTracy small.JPG, Image:MWolff small.JPG, Image:EHumphrey small.jpg, and Image:EFerry_small.jpg are also copyright violations, and I will soon list them for deletion if they are not proven truly to be yours.

Also, please do not add large amounts of text without sourcing it, and do not remove properly sourced text and images, as you did to Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio. Such deletion is considered vandalism. Nyttend 16:15, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You say, "why do you keep changing our website at Miami Township, Clermont County??" For one thing, it is not your website, but rather a Wikipedia article. Please read the article's talk page for answers. Nyttend 14:14, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Read the article's talk page: you are violating many community standards. Stop now. Nyttend 14:25, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. Nyttend 18:59, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

3RR warning[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio‎. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. 23:53, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:MWolff small.JPG)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MWolff small.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:18, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

October 2007[edit]

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Image:MT Logo Trans 2.jpg. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
