List of Mexican Federal Highways

I want to introduce you to some templates that people at WP:USRD made that will help you fix List of Mexican Federal Highways. We use Routelist row (along with Routelist top and Routelist bottom) to generate sortable tables. Check out List of United States Numbered Highways to see it in practice. It's fairly easy to use (I think), but allow me to demonstrate:

routelist bottom
Number Length (km) Length (mi) Southern or western terminus Northern or eastern terminus Formed Removed Notes
Fed. 1 1234 767 Tijuana San José del Cabo 01950-01-011950 current
Fed. 1D 345 214 Tijuana San José del Cabo 01980-01-011980 current

The lengths and years are just for show, of course. Just fill in more rows before in that gap before Routelist bottom and you'll have yourself a nice table that conforms to the Manual of Style. I wouldn't worry about filling in all the information right away. I mention this because we (as a Highways project) have been moving away from navboxes like Mexican Federal Highways as a means of connecting articles together. –Fredddie 20:12, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

@Fredddie: I'm finally doing stuff in this area (I'm familiar with templatized tables like this - see all the "List of TV stations in (Mexican state)" articles, which I designed the template for). Could I get input on User:Raymie/Highway List? Eventually I'll take on the list of "free" highways. Raymie (tc) 17:25, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
Looks good. The parameters |established= and |decommissioned= only take ISO dates, so that's why that one is showing an error. I just added the ability to disambiguate, so can also specify |dab=Veracruz so you can disambiguate the different versions of FH 15D, etc. It's also handy so you can link to specific sections or articles if they ever get big enough to split out. –Fredddie 20:20, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
@Fredddie: Well, I started on the non-toll roads at User:Raymie/Highway List 2. This is more tedious as there are more mileage segments and roads have been bloated by the addition of spurs to the designations. Feel free to add onto it: I'm through 36. Doing this is also revealing a good number of highway designations not in use. For instance, the two segments of Mexican Federal Highway 22 were renumbered to 39 in Aguascalientes and 1 in Baja California Sur. Raymie (tc) 05:37, 7 April 2017 (UTC)

I found a website which I put on the website line of the infobox; it seems to show the same logo as used previously. Can you confirm and edit if appropriate? Thanks! User:rudy2alan

@Rudy2alan: Must just be hanging around on the site - see [1] with the webcast link at [2]. Also XEHL-AM needs this edit. Raymie (tc) 16:42, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

I may need your help

See the upload history of File:Carretera federal 70.svg

It seems our friends at ESWP are not interested in using SVGs that were made from actual specifications. So I may need your help, as someone who speaks Spanish better than I do, to convince them otherwise. –Fredddie 15:36, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

@Fredddie: User:FranciscoQ001 on eswiki also removed all the SVG shields from their es:Carretera Federal 70 and es:Carretera Federal 15D articles, which required some revisions. I wrote on his talk page. I'm not quite sure why there's resistance. I honestly think it may behoove us to get rid of some of the older shield files, especially the very poorly drawn ones. Raymie (tc) 17:22, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
Thanks. I read what you said on his talk page, but it would have taken me 2 hours to write that out in Spanish, heh. –Fredddie 17:38, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
