Image copyright problem with Image:Terence Driscoll.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Terence Driscoll.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 19:22, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Copperfieldsgarden.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. Per your note to me, as the uploader, it is actually your responsiblity to tag the image with the correct copyright holder and copyright status. As you took the picture, the copyright holder is very likely yourself, but only you can provide the copyright status; is the picture released to the public domain, under open content or fair use (the last one is not really applicable in this case). as stated above, Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}} and then you can delete the tag from the image page Image:Copperfieldsgarden.jpg. --Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 13:56, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Did you read the British-vs-English discussion in Talk:Leona Lewis before you deleted "(i.e. British)" from the article?

The point of that parenthetical inclusion was to make clear "English" was not referring merely to the English language.

Would you please allow that clarification to remain in place? Thank you. SAJordan talkcontribs 22:42, 20 Dec 2006 (UTC).

Image copyright problem with Image:Falmouth_Rd_park.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Falmouth_Rd_park.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Polish_and_Ethiopian.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Jusjih 03:00, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reparata and the Delrons[edit]

Hi! I've added a tag to the article, essentially calling for the information to have better references. Although you've added a great deal of useful information, and I've no reason to doubt its accuracy, you should be aware (if you're not already) that the threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth, and that Wikipedia does not publish original research, or information that has not been published elsewhere. These are core aspects of Wikipedia, and I think you should count yourself quite fortunate that your edits have not been removed as being, so far as I can judge, wholly based on your own information. If you have clear references for the information which you have added, I strongly urge you to provide those references so that they are clear and can be checked by others. If not, there is a danger that the information which you have provided will simply be removed. Not a threat, just a friendly warning. Ghmyrtle Umm... sorry, scrub my earlier comment, I've taken another look. Don't know what I was thinking of really, running on autopilot somehow... Apologies. (talk) 22:53, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Shoes (Reparata song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dart (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Edits to Brotherhood of the Cross and Star[edit]

With reference to your recent edits to Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, I would like to suggest that two seperate sections are retained for Olumba Olumba Obu. Although amalgamating them into one section is in some ways tidier, and removes potential redundancy/repetition, it seems important to me that Olumba Sr. and Olumba Jr. are identified as two different men (albeit that one should respect the belief of members of the Brotherhood that they are spiritually one person.) Statements made by the Brotherhood that Olumba Sr is still alive and preaching (now in the form of his son) are potentially misleading. I'd be interested in your thoughts on the matter rather than simply revert the edit. Tartarusrussell (talk)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. I have set up auto-archiving now at the talkpage. So I suggest any new discussions opening up a new section rather than replying to an old one. That way the older ones with less savoury material will drop off naturally. Regards for your work btw, Only in death does duty end (talk) 15:49, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of UK Council for International Student Affairs[edit]

Hello Sah10406,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged UK Council for International Student Affairs for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
