User page

Hey, I see your userpage has been vandalized repeatedly... stupid vandals... you know you can always request protection :). Airplaneman talk 03:07, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't honestly know that I was allowed to request it with the low volume of vandalism on my page. I requested semi-protection and they granted it really quickly. I'm impressed now! Thanks! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 04:50, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
Yea, users can request it for their own space, regardless of the vandalism activity, which is different from mainspace pages. Airplaneman talk 04:56, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

About the airplane (at my guestbook): unfortunately, I can't afford one... it's just a bit too expensive ;). Airplaneman talk 04:37, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

But you're Airplaneman...isn't that misleading? :) PrincessofLlyr (talk) 05:31, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
I guess. At least I have a virtual one :) Airplaneman talk 00:31, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
On a more random note, do you like my possible new signature or my current one better? (please be honest) Airplaneman talk 20:21, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, probably I like the first one best. It's definitely between the first two, but having the first part in blue makes for easier reading. Not that my opinion really matters! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 22:04, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! I think I'll stick with my current one for now :). Airplaneman talk 21:06, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

How about this: —Airplaneman— ? Airplaneman talk 21:08, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Really, I like it either way! Neither of them are overly flashy, but they're distinct. What really matters is which one you like best! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 21:12, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Cool, thanks. I think I'll go ahead with the one that has wings ;) Airplaneman talk 02:41, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Note of gratitude

Thank you for your kind suggestion and welcome. Salutations. Guoguo12 (talk) 22:08, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks so much! That made my day! But out of curiosity, how in the world did you run across me? PrincessofLlyr (talk) 00:07, 14 March 2010
I'm glad to hear it made your day! I came across you when I saw this reversion by you on the Twilight article. It does meet with an awful lot of vandalism so it's good to see editors like yourself reverting it. :) Set Sail For The Seven Seas 185° 47' 0" NET 12:23, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Ah! It all makes sense now! Yes, I was Huggling then - I've come across an astonishing amount of vandalism doing that. Anyway, thanks for the smile and it was good to meet you! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 13:14, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
It's good to meet you too. There is indeed a huge amount of vandalism about. In fact there is even an entire wikiproject dedicated to it! :) Set Sail For The Seven Seas 282° 59' 45" NET 18:51, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Are you interested in reviewing me? No one has yet... PrincessofLlyr (talk) 20:43, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Hmm... I've never done a review before. I'm willing to give it a go, but I'm a little busy this week. If no one has done one by next Saturday, I'll do it. :) Set Sail For The Seven Seas 334° 57' 30" NET 22:19, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Whenever you have time is fine, thanks! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:58, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
It looks like everything has already been covered in your review. I tend to think editor review is for those who want to go on to become administrators later on, since otherwise there's nothing really to improve on as you're doing a great job here already. However, you may want to consider helping in out in different areas of Wikipedia. You might want to consider helping out at the help desk, I think you'll enjoy it. Set Sail For The Seven Seas 234° 12' 30" NET 15:36, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll take a look at it! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 16:48, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
There's also the reference desk, which is similar, but is mainly for factual enquiries. Set Sail For The Seven Seas 273° 10' 45" NET 18:12, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Complex Wikipedia

Hey, I'm currently creating and "simplifying" PJ articles on the Simple English Wikipedia. Please drop by if you're interested :) Airplaneman talk 23:45, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

I'll take a look. I'm really busy this week, but I'll see what I can do. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:58, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Also, User:Airplaneman/W has undergone some changes, if you want to use the updated version. It might even be added to friendly! (See WT:FRIEND) Airplaneman talk 19:48, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I had been watching that whole thing. I may borrow the hidden menu of links, but I've already custom colored mine. Brambleclawx redid the colors on his too...I thought it was funny that they're all identical, just different colors! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 19:57, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, I was talk page stalking, and couldn't resist using Airplaneman's nice template! Brambleclawx 22:28, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
I certainly don't mind, and I doubt he does, I just thought it was funny! Besides, I can't complain...I notoriously talk page stalk. Have you seen the neat userbox for stalkers? Also, I just got on Simple English today, so I'll try to help with the Warriors articles there when I have time. I doubt I'll do as much as I do here, because it is a whole different feel, but I'll help some. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 22:39, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I just started on Simple English RCP and Warriors articles. Its really weird feeling, though not as weird as editing French Wikipedia. I barely get half of what is going on, so I don't do much there. Recent changes patrols there are much more laid-back and easy. Its a lot slower. Brambleclawx 22:41, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, I don't know any French, but I have a feeling that the Spanish Wikipedia would feel strange! I'm taking French next year, so maybe I can practice on you some then. Recent changes patrol here is ridiculous! My queue backs up to 1,000+ in not very many minutes. And there is so much vandalism! It never ceases to amaze me that people do stuff like that! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 22:46, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Actually, to tell the truth, I sometimes feel an urge to vandalise just to see how fast it would get reverted... but obviously, I don't vandalise. My French should be good enough for wiki in about 2-3 years. I'll see. Good luck with French; once you know some Spanish (which I don't), I think it'll be quite similar. Brambleclawx 22:50, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
I've thought about vandalising, but I have no desire to be blocked. And, most likely, it would be reverted in a matter of seconds. I had a guy that did that to me once (vandalise to see how soon it would be reverted): [1]; it was kind of funny in a really annoying way! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 23:02, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

You know, its really hard to compete with you Hugglers, Rollbackers, Twinklers, Igloo-ers and Cluebot when it comes to reverting vandalism. It usually takes me almost 10 minutes in order to get three vandals before you people do. Not that I'm saying that's bad. But wow... Brambleclawx 23:12, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Sorry! Sometimes it's even hard to compete with other Hugglers and always Cluebot. Now, out of curiosity, why don't you use Huggle, Twinkle, or Igloo? And have you ever requested rollback (I can't remember!)? PrincessofLlyr (talk) 23:22, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Going back to Simple Wiki, I have often thought of editing over there. I worry about the precise vocabulary and sentence structure though. I presume others would catch errors if I just went ahead and added a few things here and there? Much like here, I guess? (BTW, I notice that the IP you had words with (Jim Alm, whomever) has been blocked for vandalism...) --Jubilee♫clipman 23:51, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Requested rollback from John Carter (who's now mysteriously disappeared) in about november or december, got declined because I was fairly new, not to mention I hadn't yet gotten into vandal fighting at the time. As for HG, TW, and IG, I haven't used it since I'm on a shared computer with 1 account, and my parents don't know I'm a Wiki editor, though I know they would think its a waste of time. (I've mentioned several times to Airplaneman that my parents think computers are a waste of time because they make people work slower (distractions)). So obviously, I wouldn't download those things that might give them a hint as to what I'm actually doing when I "do homework". Hope that satisfies your curiosity. (remember, curiosity killed the cat) =) (I suppose I should refrain from using so many smileys) Brambleclawx 00:34, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Try this: {{=)}}... (There are several variants ) ...... --Jubilee♫clipman 01:04, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I'm just afraid people will complain about Wiki-myspacing. Oh well, let's give those a try: . Brambleclawx 01:10, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
... nothing to see here folks, move on [ironic nonchalant whistle]... --Jubilee♫clipman 01:28, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Are you guys getting back at me for random conversations on your talk pages? @Jubileeclipman - thanks for pointing out about the IP. I think I noticed that, but I ignored him after the last edit on my page, so I don't really remember. Simple Wikipedia is very similar to here, with a few changes that take getting used to. I have a feeling that there aren't as many dedicated contributors there either. @Brambleclawx - I would request rollback from a different admin, but that's just me (User:bibliomaniac15 granted mine). Understand perfectly about your family - mine wasn't too happy either ("what do you know that nobody else does..."). I didn't mean to sound nosy, sorry if that's the way it came across. Glad you guys had fun while I was gone! My opinion on Wiki-myspacing is that it's okay in moderation - people work better when having fun! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 03:42, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

I agree: fun = relaxed = good work. Of course: irrelevence = distraction = bad work, so there is a fine... (BTW, this thread went off in a weird tangent didn't it?! It certainly has a rather ironic title now, anyway!) Cheers --Jubilee♫clipman 03:53, 19 March 2010 (UTC) [Added after edit conflict] Thanks for the info on simple:WP. Maybe I should just dive in... --Jubilee♫clipman 03:53, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
LOL, this did go on a tangent :). When my parents ask, I just say I'm doing research, which is true... I think info is generally interesting. I think I use too many smileys (and way too many ellipses) too. Anyway, Simple is nice. I did some RC patrolling and NPPing. There are less than, I would say, 50 new pages a day, and 80% of the edits are from vandals and their reverters. Simplifying builds and tests my English skills, but can become boring. I can't wait for igloo to become as functional as Huggle . Anyway... Airplaneman talk 14:17, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
The thing that threw me off there was the slightly different template names. And no, I usually don't find people nosy, so it's fine. And the "going-off-on-tangents" is probably my fault. I do that a lot in real life too. Congrats Airplaneman, you managed to edit conflict me! Brambleclawx 14:19, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Well, I just about managed to edit-conflict both you guys...do you ever do school?!? Airplaneman, did you see that I supported you on the whole PJTF portal thing? I really don't think there's enough info. Now if Mono would take the hint...! What throws me off on Simple is that I don't have everything set up. Here I have all my preferences and a whole bunch of scripts set up, but there everything is brand-new. And my name is a red-link! It just feels strange. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 14:24, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

(edit conflict)x2 Yay, I edit conflicted both of you ! I have now converted to Firefox (the browser) because it seems to render wiki the best (that's the only reason). For instance, the border on my user talk page (oh, that reminds me: see this proposal for some new abbreviations to namespaces!) is not just straight lines, but curvy, and the status message blinks, etc. Airplaneman talk 14:27, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Bad Airplaneman! Now, as I was saying before I got editconflicted, do you guys think we could do a WikiProject Warriors welcome template? PrincessofLlyr (talk) 14:31, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
We have a recruit template at Template:Warriorswel. If you mean a "welcome to the project" template, thats not a bad idea (I've been welcoming people manually). Brambleclawx 14:37, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Sorry I wasn't more specific - a welcome to the project is what I meant. I had noticed you welcoming User:Hereforhomework and thought, "we should have a template for that!" But I do have a life (shocking, isn't it?), so I'm logging off. Don't do anything dangerous while I'm gone! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 14:44, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
We won't! I'll try to make a template, but my template skills are not particularly great yet. Brambleclawx 14:47, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
(edit conflict)FYI, I'm on spring break :). I usually only edit GMT-4 (Eastern Daylight Savings time) anywhere from 5:00 to 10:00 PM when I'm not doing HW of violin or stuff. Yes, I saw the PJ portal thing. I just don't think there's enough info. As for {{Warriorswel}}, I think that should be the name of the "welcome to the project" template. How about moving the current recruit template to a new name such as "Warriorsinvite" or something and constructing the welcome template in the current space of warriorswel (does that make any sense?) Airplaneman talk 14:49, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I figured you might be on break! There's pretty much no rhyme or reason to my editing. I'm on UTC-6, and tend to be on in the morning, lunch time (12-1), and after school (3+), when I'm not busy with other stuff. Anyway, moving the template sounds like a good idea and it did make perfect sense! I really am going now! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 14:53, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

(edit conflict)Do tell me if I'm using the outdent too soon. Anyways, I edit at pretty much the same times as Airplaneman (hooray for being in the same time zone). Our school calls it mid-winter break, but lately, it hasn't been very wintery. 18 degrees Celsius (that's about 64.5 Farenheit for you guys) in mid-March is really kind of unusual for us. As for the recruit template and stuff, that sounds like a good idea. Brambleclawx 14:54, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

The outdent is fine. Funny about weather, because I think the winter has been ridiculously long where I live...of course, I am down south, and think it's cold below 60 (Farenheit)! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 14:57, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I just edit conflicted everybody! That's a first! Anyway. I have been thinking along the same lines for WP:CTM. I'll did around other projects to see what kind of templates they use to welcome new members and get back to you with the results. I use FF too, but it keeps crashing out on me for some reason: when I hit save page instead of saving it gives a completely blank preview page. I came across this before but I cannot remember what the reason/solution was. Any thoughts? --Jubilee♫clipman 15:00, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
No idea. I use IE7, so, so far, no problems. Brambleclawx 15:01, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll have to Google it or something --Jubilee♫clipman 15:03, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Same here...no idea. I use FF, but when it crashes on me I can restart and all of my tabs are saved. It's annoying though. Airplaneman, would you take a look at this? (it's PJ stuff, if you guys are curious) PrincessofLlyr (talk) 15:04, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll have to Google it or go to the Village Pump. It does save the tabs, though, when closed down which is a useful feature indeed. The PJ stuff looks interesting --Jubilee♫clipman 15:09, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Um... I noticed the title, because my watchlist link didn't take me straight down to here. Nice try. I've never read PJ stuff actually. Do you feel out of place talking to a bunch of teens? Brambleclawx 15:11, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
(personal opinion alert) PJ is cool. Besides, if you read it, then you could help here! In a comment somewhat related to your question directed at Jubileeclipman, both you and Airplaneman are younger than me...at first being "adopted" by someone younger was a bit strange, but age doesn't mean a lot here, IMO. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 15:15, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Well, I've read some of the PJ articles, so I know enough to be able to help stop vandalism to those pages. I suppose what counts here is experience. Brambleclawx 15:18, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

(edit conflict) (again!) I agree. Age is not an issue. FWIW, I was a youth worker and a teacher for a long while so talking to "young people" is not problem. I don't know Percy Jackson's work but I can do some copy editing etc --Jubilee♫clipman 15:22, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
wow. 6 edit conflicts so far. Youth worker and teacher, hm? That's cool. Did you teach music? Brambleclawx 15:24, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Yes, Piano. I don't have my piano here at the moment so I can't practice regularly. --Jubilee♫clipman 15:29, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Ever played La Campanella (to be exact, Grandes etudes de Paganini No. 3 in G#-minor "La Campanella")? Its a pretty hard piece. Brambleclawx 15:31, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
The Liszt arrangement as opposed to the Pagannini concerto, I guess you mean Yes, I had a bash. I prefer the less flashy stuff though. Brahms, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin and 20th-century stuff. I like Consolations, though. --Jubilee♫clipman 15:50, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
My favourites would be Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Debussy. Apprently, I also have a knack for playing Spanish style music, such as Manuel de Falla's "Danse du meunier". Brambleclawx 15:55, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Well, I was going to sit here and watch you guys talk, but Brambleclawx's last summary got me. I did notice the section header because my new messages link only takes me to this page, not the section. To comment on your conversation, I play piano some, but I have a feeling you guys are waaaay above my level! I do like listening to it (classical music in general)! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 16:01, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Still here, I see. What was that about having a life and needing to go? Brambleclawx 16:04, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I did go. And came back again. And need go! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 16:07, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Have fun. I have to eat lunch. Brambleclawx 16:08, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
LOL! --Jubilee♫clipman 16:19, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

@Jubileeclipman - thanks for the kind review! Under #2, I'm assuming you meant "thoughtful", so I changed that. Feel free to undo it if that's not what you meant. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 17:02, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

That's really creepy. I press "edit", and suddenly, in the edit window, there a new post. What are the chances of that happening? Brambleclawx 17:03, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Actually, that happened to me earlier - it was weird! But what were you going to say? PrincessofLlyr (talk) 17:04, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
"Don't watch this video..." BTW, your edit was rather apt given the context! --Jubilee♫clipman 17:06, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
(edit conflict)I actually don't remember anymore. Usually, I make up what I want to say as I type. Brambleclawx 17:08, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
@Jubileeclipman - You know, honestly, I didn't notice that! I hope you didn't do that to me on purpose! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 17:10, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
What? Where did that come from? Brambleclawx 17:13, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, I was replying to Jubileeclipman...I fixed a typo in a sentence commenting that I was a "thoughtful copy editor". PrincessofLlyr (talk) 17:15, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
What I meant to ask was: where did "don't watch this video" come from? Brambleclawx 17:18, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Oh wow! This is very confusing. That's a good question because I didn't get it either. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 17:19, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
LOL, just noticed the title as well... who changed it ? I think if we all signed on to the Wikipedia IRC we can have more free conversations and avoid edit conflicts. I looked at the PJ link and responded there. Airplaneman talk 17:34, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Hehe, that would be Jubileeclipman's fault. IRC might be a good idea. I'll have to take a look. I saw your comment at the PJ link - thanks for the support. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 17:41, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I think this is almost as massive as one of my earlier conversations with Airplaneman. I was wondering if Airplaneman would notice the title change. Brambleclawx 17:43, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
(edit conflict)Brambleclawx, I have a suggestion pertaining to your warning template, especially after seeing this (after which I proceeded to laugh really really hard). You might want to get rid of that exclamation point after the said article's name. Too many exclamation points sound like you are shouting :). I think the one after "Attention" is OK, but I think it would be best to replace all others with a period ;) Airplaneman talk 17:48, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Sure. I'm logging off after I do that. I did think it looked kind of weird. I also got rid of the period after the username. Glad to hear that it was funny. Brambleclawx 17:53, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Back to IRC, it requires an e-mail address, so I won't be able to do it. Family e-mail account and all...I'm guessing the same will go for Brambleclawx. Which brings me back to another question which I hope is not nosy. I know that some of the vandal-fighting programs are included in "my Preferences - gadgets", so would they be evident to anyone else on a shared computer? Huggle is because it has to be downloaded, but I don't think Twinkle or Friendly would be. Of course, we all know I'm clueless about computers, so feel free to prove me wrong! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 18:47, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
TW and Friendly would not be evident, as they are little scripts that run only when you are logged in. When you are logged off, they won't work. HG is evident, but requires (as you know) a username and password. I'm so dying to try HG that I think I'm going to boot up my old Windows computer to do so (hey, it only takes 10 minutes to start up ). And yea, I have set up a dedicated Wikipedia email account so that my name (and therefore identity) is not released to strangers. It's Wikiairplaneman :). I am also a bit hesitant about IRC, but was willing to give it a try (I don't have a Facebook or anything). It's scary how everything said is logged nowadays; we always can be more careful. Airplaneman talk 18:57, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm probably going to set up a Wiki-only account when I go to college. It will be a few years. I don't have any social networking accounts either! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 19:46, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
And I thought I was the only one without Facebook! My wiki-account is currently connected to my main personal email address, but seeing as I've got seperate passwords on them, I think its safe enough, not to mention that I never receive email from wiki anyways. I might use Twinkle if its not evident, but then again, its quite fun to do it with only the basic undo tool and my personal warning templates. But IRC, *shrugs*, my parents don't even like chat (MSN or Yahoo messenger). Another thing I do that my parents don't know. (That's quite a few points on the Wikipediholic test; "Have you broken some sort of rule just to visit Wikipedia"). Brambleclawx 20:04, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I think it's good that we don't have social networking accounts. Privacy is virtually nonexistent there (not to mention here...) I just use Yahoo, and less frequently MSN, to talk to family members, as none live anywhere near me. I'm frustrated; HG won't work even on my Windows computer. Oh well... Airplaneman talk 20:15, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Template:Warriorsinvite, the former Warriorswel, and Template:Warriorswel, now a welcoming template. Your opinions? Brambleclawx 20:34, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
The templates look fine to me! I haven't taken the Wikipediholic test, as it seems like that's a sure proof of Wikipediaholism and I am in denial. @Airplaneman - sorry HG won't work for you. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 20:45, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

I saw your list of "fun stuff". Someone once vandalised my user page, and they claimed that they wanted to make Wikipedia "a unreliable source". XD Brambleclawx 01:48, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Yes, there seem to be many people of that mindset! Unfortunately, none of the vandals on my userspace have been that creative. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 03:00, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Looks like we all stopped spamming your talk page. Brambleclawx 14:48, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I have been without a connection for a while: I have just moved. "Don't watch this video..." is a (mis)quote from the horror film Ring. If you watch the video the telephone rings immediately afterwards and a voice says you are going to die within seven days... Sorry that was a bit gruesome...! Princess: no, I didn't delibrately leave a misspelling in the review, it was pure coincidence --Jubilee♫clipman 17:35, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Hello, Im john alm

It saids that im doing vandalism but i'm actually undoing vandalism —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.159.181.74 (talk) 20:45, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

No, you aren't undoing vandalism. Please read Wikipedia's policy on vandalism. What you expressed was a personal opinion which would not help the article. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 20:47, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Your really took your time to respond to a huge bigot 66.159.181.74 (talk) 20:50, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi

Hi. I was wondering how to upload images...anywhere. I have been trying for the past hour, and now my brain hurts....Here to do my homework...not sure if it will get done. (talk) 19:38, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

That's not something with which I have experience, but you can read Wikipedia's guide to uploading images. I hope it helps. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 19:40, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. Hopefully it will work. Here to do my homework...not sure if it will get done. (talk) 19:43, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Also take a look at WP:FRIENDLY. It has more welcome template options and automatically signs your username to them, which you have not been doing. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 19:45, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

March 2010

When the only substantial editor of a page removes all content, it is not considered vandalism. You should not revert, you should not issue a warning, and the proper course of action is to tag it with {{db-author}} so it can be deleted. 67.180.84.52 (talk) 02:33, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

It would appear that there were other significant contributors to the article. If you would note please, the speedy has been declined. However, thank you for the notice. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 03:32, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

On Editor Review, article assessments, portals, Pizza Hut, expensive sandwiches and Life (and archive)

I have reviewed you. --Jubilee♫clipman 17:02, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

This is very confusing! I didn't see this post, so I thanked you above (Complex WP, of course). But the problem is, you said all good stuff! Isn't there something I need to improve? (Don't you dare say no Wiki-myspacing....) PrincessofLlyr (talk) 17:07, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Hm... Not come across anything really negative. However, the suggestion to create your own article is a good one. Even if it gets deleted/merged/redirected/etc the experience is unmeasurable --Jubilee♫clipman 21:24, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! I'm considering it...he's definitely right that I haven't really written a lot, just done copyediting. Anyway, thanks for the review...it was very encouraging! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 21:27, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Pick your subject carefully, and you won't end up with any of those outcomes. Bradjamesbrown (talk) 21:31, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Believe me, I will definitely pick carefully. I like to avoid controversy, which, of course, I believe you noted in your review. Out of curiosity, do you feel that my number of user talk page edits are too high in comparison to my article edits? I've seen it mentioned in RFA's before so I wondered. (As a reminder, I am not interested in an RfA.) PrincessofLlyr (talk) 21:33, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Part of the reason its so high is that you're into Vandal-fighting, so you end up editing talk pages a lot. Brambleclawx 21:41, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Well, well, what happened to not spamming my page? Thanks for the input! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 21:47, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn't worry about the stats: debating is just as important as doing, perhaps more important. After all, the encyclopedia is about consensus and sharing. Check my stats out and see my talk page for my philosophy (under Wikipedia involvement). Regarding the actual topic you choose: are there any notable Percy Jackson novels or characters without an article? How about the Warriors? Start where you are most comfortable --Jubilee♫clipman 21:54, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Addendum - FWIW, your edits to talk and article space are nearly equal: see here. Just proves that you try to sound out your ideas and get consensus for changes etc. That's good. (Unless the talk is all inane chitchat, of course, which I doubt!) [Thanks for editcopying my previous post, BTW!!!] --Jubilee♫clipman 22:06, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Those are good and valid points/ideas. As for articles, I can't think of any notable Warriors topics left to cover. (I'll admit that the articles on individual books are already kind of iffy as to whether they would actually pass an AfD; this is not an invitation to take them to AfD though.) As for Percy Jackson, there could be some, now that its become a movie franchise as well. And well, I just said it looked like the spamming stopped.Brambleclawx 21:59, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
I think all notable PJ topics are covered as well, although the new series is coming out soon, right? Airplaneman talk 00:22, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
New series? You guys are gonna have a lot of fun. Thanks for fixing up my userpage, airplaneman. Unfortunately, my parents want to move my brother's comp into the same room (the study), which would mean I wouldn't be able to edit, if this actually happens... Brambleclawx 01:10, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Have fun while I was gone? Thanks for the comments and suggestions, guys! Like Airplaneman said, I don't really think there's anything notable as far as PJ goes, and I'm pretty sure the new series doesn't come out until this fall. I may go for an obviously notable topic that I can get lots of reliable info on, even if it doesn't fall directly under my favorite interests. @Brambleclawx - we'll definitely miss you if that happens. I'm having a bit of trouble myself with my parents thinking I'm spending too much time here, so if my edits drop, that'll be why. @Jubileeclipman - thanks for the encouragement. I do actually keep a close eye on how the percentages line up, but thanks anyway! As for copyediting, I simply couldn't resist! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:35, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Well, real life comes first. Always :). I am only here so much because I happen to have a lot of free time. I think a big chunk of of it will be taken away when I begin high school. Also, as violin get harder, I'll practice more (currently practing 1.5 hours a day — next thing you know 2 hours, 3 hours...) Airplaneman talk 02:39, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm thinking about just taking a wikibreak to let things cool for awhile. Kind of to make sure they don't make me stop completely, if that makes any sense at all. @Jubileeclipman - I'm wondering if you think all of the conversations that have been going on here lately are inane chitchat? PrincessofLlyr (talk) 03:04, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Well, it is all tied to Wikipedia one way or another... it's not like "I ate pie today. Do you like pie?"... Airplaneman talk 03:09, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Princess - God no, I wasn't suggesting that you all engage in inane chitchit! I was simply theorising: if half of an editor's time were taken up with pointless discussion about the weather or today's menu at Pizza Hut etc then that editor's stats would be a false positive: i.e. "Lies, damned lies, and statistics". The discussions on your talk page may well go in weird tangents etc but they are always WP related and never inane! Oops... sorry if I confused you all there! --Jubilee♫clipman 17:02, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
I do appreciate how everyone suddenly likes correcting my user talk page. I came across vandalism almost a month old while I was at school, but couldn't undo it, since my school was blocked. But I took care of it now. Brambleclawx 23:07, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
--Jubilee♫clipman 23:40, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Well, that's a true sign of Wikipediholicism, when I check recent changes even at school. I just don't log in because the school is crazy, and has a system that gives teachers and Board IT guys supreme power. (They can shut our computers off if we're doing something like YouTubing or Facebooking (I saw them do it once when they caught someone), they have keylog capabilities, can take control of our computers, etc.) And I wouldn't want to give them my password, even if no one probably looks through those records. Brambleclawx 00:11, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

@Jubilee - I really didn't mean for it to come across that strongly - I was only curious. In case you haven't noticed, I don't generally get worked up about stuff! Anybody else ever get annoyed at how few of the nuances of speech/emotion can be expressed in writing, particularly online? @Brambleclawx - Nuisance about your school! I decided I had Wikipediholism today when I came home from volunteering and checked Wiki before I ate supper. (Incidentally, if there are any terrible mistakes in this post, my fingers are not obeying and keep typing strange versions of what I'm trying to write. Therefore, it is not my fault!) Anyway, I should probably do something useful now! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:05, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

That typing issue happens to me all the time. Its weird. I like volunteering. Too bad we can't count Wiki editing for "volunteer hours" (do you have those over in the States?) Brambleclawx 01:07, 23 March 2010 (UTC) Add I cannot believe that I just wrote 3 sentences without a conjunction. It looks like I'm writing for Simple English! Brambleclawx 01:09, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Lol, Pizza Hut menu? :D Unlike you guys, I have no time in school to check wiki. I think I would if I could... Now if I had service hours for editing Wiki, I'd be a couple thousand over... Airplaneman talk 01:14, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Anyone know how to cure Talk page stalking? I just did it again (look below). Brambleclawx 01:15, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
I was checking Wikipedia because i was done my work, and my tech teacher doesn't really care what we do. By the way, you just called Wikipedia wiki, something they just told Princess not to do. Brambleclawx 01:18, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
See below :). BTW, what do you think of my "wings" sig (in a section above)? Airplaneman talk 01:19, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
I keep having to count the number of colons there. Anyways, yeah, its nice, but maybe you should add a link to your talk. I am going to leave for now to stop my Talk page stalking, especially since I have some work to do still. Brambleclawx 01:23, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Oh my goodness! You guys just edit conflicted me sooo many times! And I had this lovely answer all typed out! (was that excessive use of (!)?) Anyway, no cure for tps. It's hopeless! Just resign to your fate. I don't mind, really! @Airplaneman - I have a very unusual school setup. Ever heard of homeschooling? It's lovely. But this still doesn't count as volunteering. As for colons, I copy & paste them, then add one. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:28, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I've heard of homeschooling :). I know quite a few people who are homeschooled (and now one more). As for edit conflicts, try pressing "back" on your browser and retrieve your version; works for me, at least. Airplaneman talk 01:34, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I can generally manage to retrieve my version, but then I have to adjust it to fit the newest comment...but it's a good nuisance! So, I'm thinking about putting the PJ portal up for MFD. What do you think? PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:38, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
No objection there; don't forget all the subpages. Airplaneman talk 01:44, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

All of the subpages? Do they have to be tagged now or can I speedy them after the MFD? It just seems like a waste of time to mfd all of them, but I can if that's what I'm supposed to do. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:54, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

I think this is why emoticons are so useful: they help convey the meaning/irony/mood hidden in comments... I assume the princess and the aviator are being ironic? Or are you really going to delete all of your hard work? --Jubilee♫clipman 01:56, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
LOL! You're thinking of the task force. We're talking about Portal:Percy Jackson, which, honestly, I don't think is necessary. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:58, 23 March 2010 (UTC) Add - you're also welcome to !vote in the MfD here: [2] PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:03, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Oh! I never spotted the portal. Portals are useful if the subject is especially wide and deep in its coverage. Otherwise, they are not that helpful, IMO. PJ Portal probably on the "not" side of that --Jubilee♫clipman 02:06, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
BTW, you can tag the subpages for Speedy after the MfD. I note that quite a few pages are missing anyway (redlinked)... --Jubilee♫clipman 02:09, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! Now do you want to !vote in favor of my nom? (I'm not campaigning or anything. No, never me! ) PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:11, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Lately, I've been looking through the history of Wikiproject Warriors. I noticed (a long time ago actually, but never looked at it until last week) that a certain user had been hard at work trying to make a Warriors portal! Though the portal would probably not have been of any use; its scope range isn't much different from PJTF's. Brambleclawx 02:15, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Oh, look who's back! Yeah, a Warriors portal probably wouldn't help a lot. Besides, there's always Wikia for the people that really want to know that much! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:20, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Yep, I couldn't help but come back, and look what's happened while I was gone! Thanks for the copyedit. Actually, if any of you remember AppleDapple11 (I don't blame you if you don't), thats' where she ended up (as in Wikia). Add I can't help but wonder: don't you think RC patrollers are going to look at the pizza hut thing and go what? Brambleclawx 02:27, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I remember her. I don't even go over there. I would get hooked. This is better for me. Some very interesting things show up on RC - maybe they could join the party! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:29, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

I only peek every so often into Warriors Wiki, usually to check whether some cat is actually related to another. Brambleclawx 02:31, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

That's a good reason - they tend to be obsessive. I'm not that into PJ or Warriors! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:35, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
I've never seen more intense talk page stalking... But then again, that's because I haven't looked at a lot of user talks yet. Brambleclawx 02:39, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Oh, what? Here? Nah. Some of the admins do some fun stuff. Check out User:Bishzilla. It's a lovely example of what admins do when Wiki(pedia) stresses them to the breaking point. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:46, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Well, I'm going (probably not right away, since I'm going to check out the user you mentioned (and maybe stalk them )), but I have no idea how i'm gonna sleep tonight with a squealing puppy downstairs... (its not my puppy, its just staying at my house). Well, we'll see if this section survives a night, or whether we start spamming a new section tomorrow. Brambleclawx 02:48, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
I need to go too. I was going to read a book tonight, but I bet you can guess how far that got! Have fun with the puppy! Puppies are cool, but squealing - not so much. I'm gonna be gone awhile tomorrow (field trip), so don't do anything bad. I'm trying to work on WikiProject Novels' uncategorized pages. I'll get it down, say below 1,500, and then it will shoot back up. So annoying! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:53, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Have fun! Maybe you'll learn something that can be added to Wikipedia! Brambleclawx 02:54, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Nice catch there! And I believe it is "parentheses". PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:56, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

I saw the reply last night, but was too tired to answer at the time. Anyways, I realised that mistake as soon as I pressed save, which happens a lot to me. (one of the reasons why my edit count is so high) Brambleclawx 21:03, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Wow, Bishzilla's funny :). I will also try to reduce the WP:NOVELS uncategorized backlog. I have initiated my new signature! —Airplaneman— 22:44, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Its nice. Brambleclawx 22:47, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Sig looks great! Glad you enjoyed Bishzilla...I found her very amusing! Thankfully I've cleared out all of the A's and B's in Novel's uncategorized! I was working on C's last night but didn't finish them. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 23:48, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
OMG I want to audition for the Ontario Provincial Honour Band!!! (That's an example of Wiki-myspacing) Good luck with the backlog! Brambleclawx 23:58, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
What brought that up? Is a it a possibility or just a "this would be cool" thing? Oh, and thanks for the MFD vote. I'm definitely going to keep it going. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 00:14, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
My band teacher sent us an email about it. But it looks like they're only taking 1 bass clarinetist. Not good for me, which means I would hafta be the best in all of Ontario... kinda hard if you ask me (especially at my age). As for the MFD, that's what happens when I stalk. Brambleclawx 00:22, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Good luck! As for stalking, that's what is supposed to happen! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 00:24, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Wow, that's a lot of assessed articles! I'm starting from the back, and have eliminated everything from special characters to X :). Good luck with the audition ;) —Airplaneman— 00:45, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

I might not audition because its expensive ($275!). You two are really attacking that backlog, aren't you? Brambleclawx 01:23, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Oh wow! That is expensive! The backlog needs attacking - it's ridiculous. And growing. Every time I turn around it's shot back up. I'm trying to finish clearing out the C's tonight. Besides, it is noncontroversial work and sometimes you run across cool books. Only thing is, it does get boring. In which case it's nice to have distracting talk page stalkers around! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:27, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Too bad Airplaneman didn't become an admin; then I could ask him directly to supply me a copy of Clan (Warriors). Somebody asked for a list of herbs on the Warriors page, and apparently, that page was the most recent version. (Moved out of the main article in Oct. '06, deleted just one day short of a year later). Its nice to Res2216firestar around. Too bad he's not a TPS. Time to find an admin! Brambleclawx 01:36, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm hoping he'll pass in another few months. I think he would make a wonderful admin! Cool that resfirestar's around, always nice to have an experienced editor! So, what is your criteria in choosing which admin of which to ask a favor? PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:40, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
In a few months, he'll pass for sure. Resfirestar is actually inactive apparently. Anyways, I choose admins by looking at recent changes, and seeing who's online to do the job quickest. I'm going to keep an eye out (maybe you should too) on Fading Echoes (Warriors) tonight; it just came out, so I suspect its edit count will spike over the next week or so. Brambleclawx 01:49, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, I choose by their interests (for example, User:Bibliomaniac15 for rollback) and whether or not they are active. Personality factors in too. I added the page to my watchlist. I don't have all the Warriors pages watched yet, just as I get around to editing them. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:54, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
That factors a bit too. I was going to pick Materialscientist, but I decided against it since the majority of his work appears to be blocking vandals. Brambleclawx 01:57, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Well, your pick seemed to get on it quickly enough! ( I was tp stalking, of course!) Nice bit of humor in that request too. Very impressive. I'll be glad to copyedit for you. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:59, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

If you're TPS-ing, you'll realise the stuff I was looking for actually isn't in there. Brambleclawx 02:01, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Yep, just saw that. Annoying. Oh, I took a look at your userspace and found your assessment of the editing history of Warriors' pages - very nice, but you weren't, by any chance, bored at the time? PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:05, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Nice find. I always meant to do that, but didn't really have time until the "march break". After looking at that stuff, I truly, truly admire Res2216firestar, and TakaraLioness. They've done serious amounts of work! (TakaraLioness happens to be edit count leader of the main warriors page). I think my admin's logged off for the night. I'll wait for tomorrow. I have patience (I hope). Brambleclawx 02:09, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Well, I was looking for the page he recreated as a subpage. Incidentally, I still can't find it! Remember, patience is a virtue. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:12, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
User:Brambleclawx/Clan (Warriors). I'm not Christian (many of my friends are). But I still feel patience is important! (Ok, so I try to follow the Warriors code in RL) Brambleclawx 02:14, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! You follow the Warriors code in RL? Very interesting. I suppose it does have some good principles. I couldn't resist the whole patience thing - it's something my family uses a lot. (we're Christian, in case you're wondering) PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:18, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
I have enough Christian friends (and enough Wikipedia reading) to have a thorough understanding of Christianity. The Warrior Code gets a bit hard to follow when you get to parts about deputies and things like that, because obviously, there are no "deputies" in RL. Brambleclawx 02:27, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
It's understandable how that might be a tad difficult. I try to be understanding of people that don't believe the way I do. I have tons of RL friends that belong to totally different denominations or worldviews. We just try to focus on the things we have in common. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:30, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

I try to be understanding, but I think that sometimes, that's my weakness. I have difficulty opposing people most of the time, because when I try to understand their point of view, then it makes sense to me and I think, oh well. I'll just accept that idea. Brambleclawx 02:37, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

With me, it depends on the issue. Religion, I do not budge on my beliefs, but I try not to let that interfere with my interaction on a personal level. Something less major, then I'll try to be open to multiple viewpoints. I can usually see why a person believes something whether I agree with it or not. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:41, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Technically, WP:NOT doesn't say that Wikipedia is not a place to share life lessons... Brambleclawx 02:49, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Who said it did? Besides, I"m working in between fun. Almost through with the C's! Come on, Clipman, you have to join the discussion! That didn't cut it! Weird thing, I just assessed The Cursed Videotape which you mentioned to us earlier! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:52, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
It's a curse! (I cannot believe how many typos I've made in this one day). Brambleclawx 02:54, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Oh! Jubileeclipman's edit completely got past me! I thought Princess changed it to Inedible! Brambleclawx 02:58, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

LOL! I lost track of this discussion ages ago...! Regarding religion, though, I used to be a zealot for Catholic Church (I was a convert) but am now very lapsed... Not sure what happened there: probably two divorces and several other factors would explain it. Anyway, I tend to take the "I defend your right to hold that but still disagree" line. Have you seen the remake of the Japanese film? Eek... --Jubilee♫clipman 03:00, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Nice shorten. I like it. As for the curse, perhaps it means that you need more sleep. I'm getting off now - I finished the C's! Except one, which is prodded. But still! Clipman, I don't do horror films. Absolutely not. And I'm Baptist. Anybody else agree that there are too many flavors of Christians? PrincessofLlyr (talk) 03:04, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

I do! I still haven't figured out the differences. I'm off for the night too. We'll carry on in a different tangent tomorrow. Brambleclawx 03:07, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

I was still tps-ing, so I did some cleanup on the herbs list. I'll take a closer look tomorrow. Looks like it will need serious POV cleanup (in-universe). Good Night! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 03:10, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Too many varieties of religion more like! BC shorten the title, not me. Oh and yes: Good Night! --Jubilee♫clipman 03:12, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Wow. I just watched this thread get longer... and longer... then I go off to practice violin and I come back to find...
Anyway, glad you guys think I'd make a good admin . I'm trying to learn all of the policies (especially regarding files and BLPs). I'll try to burn through the Ws tomorrow for assessment :). I took a look at The Cursed Videotape and made some fixes, both to the article and talkpage (don't forget to remove the "auto=yes" tags — oh, unless you're a bot, of course, the first of your kind). As obscure miscellany like this does not get a lot of traffic, a one-time, full-on assessment is usually better than just assessing for WP Novels. Of course, this is not a requirement, but it would be a plus for article maintenance. (Did that make any sense? I tend to confuse when I try to explain thing IRL, although I admit I write better than I can articulate my thoughts in speech...) Good night (*yawwwn*) —Airplaneman— 03:18, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Clipman - I knew that, it just got confused because of all the times I got conflicted trying to post that comment. Airplaneman - Actually, that made perfect sense. I had wondered about that, but wasn't sure if I was supposed to...will do in the future! And maybe I'll start on the D's if I have time today. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 12:44, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm on at least 2 week Wikibreak because my brother's been overusing the internet. Stupid Rogers Hi-Speed Internet keeps lowering our monthly limit (from 60 now down to 2 GB). Anyways, my parents want to move, as i stated above, his laptop into the same room as me (the study), which means I won't be able to edit unless he's away. If I don;t return in 3 weeks, do not hesitate to place an indef wikibreak notice on my pages. I hope to come back ASAP, but currently cannot. Do not expect me to check much during my break, because my household is now already 1.1 GB over and they're charging $5 extra per GB over the limit. Happy editing, Brambleclawx 23:25, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Ok,I may check every so often at school, but not edit. Brambleclawx 23:40, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Wow, so if I'm not mistaken, they reduced your GB/month limit by 3,000%?! Sorry to hear that :(. Take it easy, and read lots of books ;). See you back in a couple weeks! As finals approach, my editing will plummet as well, so don't be worried if I hardly edit during the week. —Airplaneman— 01:49, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Good luck! And good luck to the Cat, also (I posted on his talkpage anyway but may as well say it here). Hope PrincessofLlyr is sticking around so I can make random edits to her talk page? --Jubilee♫clipman 02:23, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Yikes! Hope everything works out for you guys! And unfortunately Clipman, I'm getting woefully behind IRL, so my editing may drop too. But I'm not going on wikibreak yet, so feel free to keep talking here. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 13:45, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing up my talkpage. This reversion I can understand, as it was not stellar writing... but the kits are mentioned frequently. I'll re-add when I have the time to copyedit. —Airplaneman— 02:02, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome. That's what talk page stalkers are for. As for the revert, I would have cleaned it up if there was some indication of why the kits were notable in the book. But unfortunately, there wasn't, and I haven't actually read it, so I reverted. Thanks for catching that. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:32, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Couldn't resist coming back for a quick comment. Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council's logo should go in either Thumbnail, or infobox. Make sure to check all changes to List of ThunderClan cats (its a very active page). Hope to be back soon, Brambleclawx 00:47, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

Bad cat! I've been keeping an eye on all the Warriors stuff (that I have watchlisted, anyway). Logo -> thumbnail - checkYDone!. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 00:49, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Bad cat is right! I'd probably need the wikibreak enforcer to stay away. But I won't use one... Oh well. I'll continue resisting the temptation to keep logging in. Brambleclawx 17:40, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Wow, you are good at persevering! I wouldn't last a day without logging on... at the moment, anyway. —Airplaneman— 20:29, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
I would be terrible at staying away. Sometimes I have trouble not logging in every few hours! Airplaneman, I like your plane! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 22:51, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! I found something you might be interested in; it'll help hone your GA reviewing skills and article policy knowledge: this. Airplaneman 00:20, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Looks like it would be good for me! I added myself to the list of participants. I think my one GA review went really well, but I'm still a bit nervous. (*Wikiphilosophy ahead*) I think I'm more tentative on Wikipedia than I am IRL. In real life, I have crazy friends, so we're always the ones out there ready to try stuff. Here, I'm a lot more reserved and I sometimes think I try too hard not to make mistakes. Maybe this will help! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 00:54, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
I'm the opposite, I think. I tend to be more bold here... as for being tentative, you can't undo things IRL, but there's always the "undo" button here. Thanks for helping in the 2010 Food City 500 article :) Airplaneman 02:23, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Good point! I'm trying to get better about it. Anyway, no problem about the article. I was going to review it until I realized I was reading over it with the assumption that I would pass it unless it was really, really obviously bad, and I decided that might not be good! Besides, I know very little about Nascar, so I don't really nor what's expected of that type of article. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:28, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Today, I saw a few seconds from that cursed video that Clipman was talking about... Brambleclawx 02:43, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

What are you doing back? Was it as terrible as he said? PrincessofLlyr (talk) 02:44, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
It was random looking... As for why I'm back... I can't help myself. By the way, Airplaneman, they didn't reduce my limit by 3000%. That would've made my limit -174000GB. It was actually only 97%, along with about a 30% price increase. This supposedly "improves their service". I'm making random tiny edits (In hopes of having a 1000 edit month). Brambleclawx 02:49, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Ack! Where'd I do my math wrong this time? It's my worst subject you know... I guess you could say unsurprisingly, English is my best. I fail miserably to see how service was improved by hiking prices and lowering bandwidth...?!?! Increased reliability, perhaps? Glad you're going to be semi-back. Oh, and before I forget, making large edits instead of random teensy ones would use less bandwidth; it's loading less pages, no? Airplaneman 02:53, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Time constraints are another matter. Don't worry, My math is not that great either. Last semester my lowest mark was math, and my best was... music (who would've guessed?). Not bragging, but I got a 93.75 average first semester. (That would be Math, Music, English, and Geography). Though I bet this semester's marks will be worse (Phys. Ed. especially; I've always been bad at that. All the theoretical stuff like "throw the ball like this" is great, but I can't really do it that well. That's why I stay away from Wikipedia's sports pages. (Wondering how I was going to link that long off-topic rant to Wikipedia?) Brambleclawx 03:06, 31 March 2010 (UTC) Add Does repeated refreshing my watchlist repeatedly take up bandwidth? Brambleclawx 03:10, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Heh, my average is higher :p... anyway, I would guess refreshing your watchlist would take up bandwidth only because you are repeatedly requesting and downloading info, therefore eating up your GB limit (albeit very little of it...a couple kilobytes, perhaps?) I'm not 100% sure, but that's my guess. As for phys-ed, I also fail at playing ball. That's why I run :). Good night, Airplaneman 03:17, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Wonder if anyone can guess my favorite subject? Literature! It's a subset of my English, but I don't like the Grammar part, just Lit. Anyway, I actually like P.E. I play soccer and used to play softball until I got sick of it! Math I do not like, although proofs in Geometry weren't that bad. Anywho, I'm glad we'll be seeing you around some, Brambleclawx! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 13:03, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Bad news, you guys. I'm going to take an indef wikibreak. Real life is catching up to me, and unfortunately, I can't maintain Wikipedia and RL at the pace I have been. I'm gonna take a day or two to finish some tasks and then I'll just be checking in when I get time. Airplaneman, I'm hoping to be back by mid-April and perhaps participate in the GA review contest then. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 21:04, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

We'll miss you (as much as you people miss me)! Good luck on catching up on RL (We'll see if you can resist checking your watchlist). Enjoy your wiki-break, and hope to see you again soon! Brambleclawx 21:57, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Second that. RL comes first, though, so "Take your time/Hurry up", if you get me! --Jubileeclipman 22:06, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, that actually made sense, although I've never heard the song. And probably don't want to - I'm more of a classical music person. Anyway, you guys are welcome to play around here while I'm gone, but it comes at a price. Can you keep an eye on Gary Soto and Margaret Peterson Haddix? You don't have to do anything but revert vandalism when it crops up. They're pretty slow pages. I'm a top editor on both of them and haven't done a lot, if that tells you anything. Most of the rest of my watchlisted pages are already covered under WikiProjects Warriors or PJTF. Even if I do come back in mid-April, it's only gonna be for a little while. I'm going to wikibreak again for the first three weeks of May. Graduation and wedding (neither are mine), so I don't want add any more stress. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 22:32, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Might be an idea to archive before this talkpage gets too long... (and the title of this thread gets much longer...!) I'll see about checking on those pages for you, certainly --Jubileeclipman 22:41, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Both on my Watchlist along with your userpage and talkpage (as well as the cat's pages, for that matter). Anything else to watch? --Jubileeclipman 22:44, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
I had been considering an archive when I leave. I think I'll do that tonight. Then I can just start a new thread for anything you guys find that needs my attention when I do drop by. Thanks for watching those pages. If you don't mind, I also thought of Lloyd Alexander and The Heir Trilogy. Neither of those is very active either. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 22:53, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Added and added. BTW, Gary Soto was vandalised very recently but a bot caught that (obvious) case. Cheers --Jubileeclipman 22:58, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! And yeah, I have bot edits hidden, so I didn't see that. Wonderful, horrible bots, always beating me to the vandals! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 23:13, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
I'll miss you guys! I'll slow up in editing, as well, though... would you care to watch... never mind :). Too many... I'll watch the articles you mentioned, PrincessofLlyr. Have fun IRL, Airplaneman 00:09, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for getting that vandalism off my talk page! Bradjamesbrown (talk) 22:52, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! It wasn't that big of a deal...I was huggling and probably just barely beat you to it! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 23:03, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Editor review? I've never done one of those, only RFA's. Can't be that different, though, I'll put it on my list to do today! Bradjamesbrown (talk) 13:37, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for the notice - I'm actually aware of the policy, but had not checked that entry recently. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:12, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
I hate intruding on yet another discussion, but I never even knew this existed! (I will not comment further here) Brambleclawx 01:13, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Hey, another stalker here :). It's not actually a policy, but rather a humorous essay. Hope I'm not spoiling the joke (if there was one?) I'm bad at that kind of stuff... Airplaneman talk 01:18, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
No, it's fine! I think it does actually annoy some people, so I try not to, but that was a rather early post of mine, and in an informal discussion (above) I definitely don't mind! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:31, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
(The other stalker) FWIW, I never knew about that essay either. I get the point, though --Jubilee♫clipman 01:42, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, I'm wondering how I knew about this and none of you did. Very weird. So glad that you were able to learn something from my page! PrincessofLlyr (talk) 01:43, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Celia (Quad Hero)

Hello PrincessofLlyr, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Celia (Quad Hero), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Non-notability is not one of the criteria for speedy deletion - PROD or AFD is appropriate instead. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Olaf Davis (talk) 09:39, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for the alert. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 14:55, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
@Olaf - actually, there is no real claim of notability in the article, which is a speedy category.   pablohablo. 20:06, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Wow!
