Disambiguation link notification for April 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Juan Luis Guerra discography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Literal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Coleccion Cristiana moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Coleccion Cristiana, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). License tagging for File:Literal.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Literal.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Non-free rationale for File:Lireal Tour.JPEG[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Lireal Tour.JPEG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Using Certification Table Entry for unsupported regions[edit]

Chartmasters.org[edit]

Please don't cite this as a source within articles anymore. It is known to have given false numbers (often pulled out of nowhere), and isn't a trustworthy reference. ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Desierto (Amenazzy song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. –eggofreason(talk · contribs) 16:25, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Kamikaze (Eminem album), as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Robvanvee 05:16, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of The Big Boss Tour[edit]

Hello, PaulYordan,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Amkgp and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged The Big Boss Tour for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. You may find our guide for writing quality articles to be extremely informative.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Amkgp}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Citation and formatting[edit]

Re: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kamikaze_%28Eminem_album%29&type=revision&diff=961708207&oldid=959169045, please see WP:CITEVAR. Additionally, is this a reliable source? What is Saoju? ―Justin (koavf)TCM 01:03, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Paul. Thanks for your effort to improve this article. However, please do not add opinion polls without a source. Cheers, Number 57 20:27, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Another couple of tips:
  • Dates should be written as 1 June 2020, not 1 June, 2020 (i.e. there should be no comma)
  • When using date spans, use – rather than - (so 1–3 June not 1-3 June)
  • Opinion poll tables typically use direct links rather than references, so you might want to do that for the ones you're adding.
Cheers, Number 57 20:54, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Aventura Reunion Live NYC has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable, undersourced concert tour fails both WP:GNG and WP:CONCERT TOUR that has been tagged as needing additional references for four months since the only two references are just concert date announcements.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Correct certification table usage[edit]

Hi there. Recently a parameter was added to the {{certification Table Entry}} template which would help you: |footnote=sales. Using it will ensure you get the correct footnote. You are also using |award= without value instead of correctly using |nocert=true. See all these corrections here. Happy editing. --Muhandes (talk) 18:37, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again PaulYordan. In the message yesterday I pointed out the correct way to use {{certification Table Entry}}, especially using |footnote=sales. Today you added another certification here and again, did not use the correct parameters. Also, you used |salesref= for a source which does not mention the sales amount. You should have used |certref=. If you would have looked at the resulting sources, you would have noticed the problem created. I corrected these errors here. Also note that you are using bare URLs which is not ideal. Don't hesitate to drop me a line if you need any assistance. Happy editing. --Muhandes (talk) 08:22, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. This is the third time I am leaving you a message on the same subject. You made this change introducing certifications for Chile and Argentina. Again, you were using |award= without value instead of correctly using |nocert=true, which I needed to correct here. Furthermore, you are still using bare URLs. Please stop ignoring my requests. --Muhandes (talk) 05:43, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. I'm sorry, but this must stop. This is the fourth time that I need to clean up after you. I know you mean well, but you keep creating more work for me and other editors. I am more than willing to help in explaining how to do it correctly, as I did above, but you can't just ignore what I say. Please use |footnote=sales and not *. Please don't use bare URLs. Please use the correct parameters at {{certification Table Bottom}}. If you don't understand, ask. --Muhandes (talk) 14:19, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Muhandes. I just want to let you know that I`m new here and don`t know some basic stuff yet. I don`t even know how to respond a message. That`s doesn`t mean that i had ignore your messages. I`m doing my best to improve myself and be better editor. I apologize for all the troubled caused. Peace. --PaulYordan (talk) 21:22, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I've left you a few pointers, please follow them and don't hesitate to ask. Please ping me if you leave a question here. --Muhandes (talk) 21:47, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm happy to see you are following my advise, e.g. here. A subtle additional point which I mentioned above is the correct parameters at {{certification Table Bottom}}. If your table uses a sales footnote, you don't want |nosales=true at the bottom, like I corrected here. Keep on the good work. --Muhandes (talk) 10:29, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Mundaza y Acareo.JPEG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Mundaza y Acareo.JPEG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Using correct citation[edit]

Hi PaulYordan. Your meticulous research is much appreciated, but it would be even better if you could use proper citation. The citation style on Areíto (album) makes it very difficult to verify the facts. For instance you use a dozen sources which you call "Rankings". These are in fact different Billboard sources which should be cited as such. You also don't always match the source with the fact it verifies, and some facts I couldn't find in the source. I did my best to improve this, and I am still working on it. Your work will be much more appreciated if you could use proper citation to begin with, and save other editors the hours of work they spend to correct it. You can draw some examples from my corrections and I would also be very happy to assist otherwise. Best regards and happy editing. --Muhandes (talk) 08:47, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This turned out to be much more difficult than I expected. You really have to do something about these sources. I don't speak Spanish, so I gave up when sources in Spanish came up - but overall I couldn't verify more than half of the facts.--Muhandes (talk) 12:16, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop ignoring me. Not only did you not correct the previous sources, you added more material and repeated exactly the same problems. The first line you added "Frio Frio" was the first single released from the album. It peaked at 4 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and 5 in Uruguay. can demonstrate it. You provided the following source:"Ventana de articulo". h.elsiglodetorreon.com.mx. Retrieved 2021-05-25..
  • You list three facts. 1. "Frio Frio" was the first single released from the album. 2. It peaked at 4 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart 3. It peaked 5 in Uruguay. You only source the third fact, so the rest are unsourced.
  • The source you provide is incorrectly cited. "Ventana de articulo" is not the title. This is in fact from a newspaper. The best I could do is: "Discos más populares en Latinoamérica". El Siglo de Torreon. July 3, 1992. p. 61. Retrieved 2021-05-25.
I am continuing to assume good faith, but there is a limit to that. Please stop introducing unsourced material and please use proper citation. --Muhandes (talk) 07:55, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Muhandes. I want to thank you for you advices and correcting my mistakes. Some sources might be incorrectly cited because i used automactly citation, not manual. But, I`ll will be more carfull for now on. Thanks, once again. Peace.--PaulYordan (talk) 16:00, 27 May 2021 (UTC)

You said you will be more careful, yet I need to correct your edit again. Please stop this. Correct the articles you already edited and don't add "automatic citations" if they are incorrect. --Muhandes (talk) 18:30, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

January 2022[edit]

Information icon Hi PaulYordan! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Origen (album) that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. A tag has been placed on File:Juan-luis-guerra-grammy-latino.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.acontecercristiano.net/2010/11/juan-luis-guerra-obtiene-tres-grammy.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Speedy deletion nomination of El Costo De La Vida[edit]

Hello, PaulYordan,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Meatsgains, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, El Costo De La Vida, for deletion, because it is a very short article that doesn't provide readers with enough context to determine who or what the subject is.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Meatsgains}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on El Costo De La Vida requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Access to offline sources[edit]

Hey Paul, it's Erick! I would like to help you access to even more sources to help you with making articles. It's called the Wikipedia Library and it is accessible to any Wikipedia user for free and grants you access to sources that would otherwise be unobtainable. The sources I highly recommend gaining access to are ProQuest, Newspapers.com, and Newspaperarchives.com. Hope that helps and let me know if you need any assistance! Erick (talk) 14:59, 21 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Hi, Erick (talk). Thanks for the recomendation. My application for newspaperachives.com was approved. How i can login?. The supposed t send me and email with the username or what?. If you know what to do, please, let me know. PaulYordan (talk)04:55, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, check your e-mail to see if you received your login information, maybe even the junk folder too just in case. Erick (talk) 18:27, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey again! So I'm working on a personal project where songs that reached #1 on the Latin pop and Tropical airplay get good articles. On the tropical side, I just finished Mi Mayor Venganza and am working on Mi PC by Juan Luis Guerra next. The project also expands to Latin Grammy-winning Latin pop and tropical songs as well. If you are interested working with me, I have a sandbox set up for "Mi PC".

  1. Hi, Erick (talk). Thanks for the contacting me. Yes, I would like to work with you. PaulYordan (talk)
Nice! I already just finished "Mi PC" and it's listed as a GA. So now my focus is on #1 Latin pop and Tropical songs of 1999, which includes Palomita Blanca. One point I want to make is unfortunately, we can't use the charts from El Siglo del Torreon for the Good Articles, because they're not listed at WP:GOODCHARTS. We would have to convince the community on that talk page to use them. Believe me, I would love to use them as well since we both know Latin music is not limited to the United States. If you want, you can also copy the format I did for "Mi PC" and apply it to other articles you want to work on. Erick (talk) 16:32, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, PaulYordan. Thank you for your work on Aventura Reunion In NYC. North8000, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Thanks for your work. There really isn't GNG type sourcing or content here to meet wp:notability requirement for a separate article. Most of the material is about the band or the album, not the topic. The only real material about the topic is the list of days that they performed which is too detailed / unenclyclopedic for a wiki article. Suggest merging into the band article, which IMO is best done by the creator. Happy editing!
