A barnstar for you![edit]

The Barnstar of Diligence
For this AN/I report. You may have made an alternative account to get a "perfect" track record, but the truth is you have always been your greatest self.

What you lack in confidence you make up for in an abundance of humility. Don't beat yourself up, and please keep up the amazing work!! MJLTalk 02:03, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The important thing is not to have a perfect prosecuting editing record...but to find the truth. That is our duty as attorneys editors. creffpublic a creffett franchise (talk to the boss) 15:33, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that is how it is...nice quote there too. Not a huge fan of Ace Attorney though anymore, as you can see with the name change. Hopefully this new one lasts a bit longer. –NorthwestPassage talk 00:53, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Administrators' newsletter – March 2020[edit]

News and updates for administrators from the past month (February 2020).

Guideline and policy news

  • Following an RfC, the blocking policy was changed to state that sysops must not undo or alter CheckUser or Oversight blocks, rather than should not.
  • A request for comment confirmed that sandboxes of established but inactive editors may not be blanked due solely to inactivity.

Technical news

  • Following a discussion, Twinkle's default CSD behavior will soon change, most likely this week. After the change, Twinkle will default to "tagging mode" if there is no CSD tag present, and default to "deletion mode" if there is a CSD tag present. You will be able to always default to "deletion mode" (the current behavior) using your Twinkle preferences.

Problem with IP user at PL COVID-19 page[edit]

See the new restoration of OR material in the lead, that makes a claim that is not even extractible from its source - the user doesn't (yet) know how Wikipedia works - s/he needs some help from someone independent from me. See my point on the talk page too: there is plenty of criticism of the authorities - and of the behaviour of some groups of people in Poland - in reliable sources, it's just that nobody (including me) has much time to add it.
