Major restructuring of Rivethead[edit]

I have started reorganizing/rewriting the article "Rivethead", to make it

As NPOV as possible.
Confirm with the Manual of Style.
Easier to read and maintain.

Arise on hold deadline[edit]

I'm sorry. Although I did leave a list issues to be fixed. And I really do feel that enough work it isn't up to GA standard yet. Grindcore and industrial music[edit]

Hi, I appreciate the work you've been doing on the grindcore page, and there's an issue I'd like to discuss with you. Do you think that "Industrial music" is a prominent enough influence on grindcore to be listed in the infobox? I realize that ND cited Throbbing Gristle, and you've alluded to their appreciation for Nine Inch Nails and Ministry, but I don't see many elements from industrial music, as such, in grindcore. What I do hear are very prominent noise rock influences -- especially the Swans -- and some influence from noise music. Many later grindcore bands have had some connection to power electronics or Merzbow or Whitehouse or John Wiese, but there's not much connection at all between grindcore and later industrial rock or classic industrial music (Coil, Nurse With Wound, etc.). Industrial rock and metal[edit]

hi, I cleaned up the industrial rock page today, and I think it's in much better shape now. Let me know if you disagree with any of my edits. It still needs work, and I'll be trying to expand it from the skeleton that's now established. I think you've done some really good work on the industrial metal page, and I think soon both will be in good shape. I think a slippery question here is how we can more fully address Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. I mean, I think they're clearly industrial rock, and maybe have some industrial metal tracks, but calling NIN industrial metal seems kind of weird to me as I think they have very few metal influences. They were both nominated for Grammys in the metal category, which I guess makes them metal, but I really think both bands owe more to noise rock than they do to any metal bands as such. Grindcore[edit]

I'm sorry I have deleted some parts in the grindcore article but they violate WP:SYN (example: you simply cannot claim grindcore had a significant influenced on avant garde jazz without a source that directly states that.). Please keep in mind there is no such thing as "concensus of the editors invested in this article", as "silence implies consent", see WP:CON. I've explained everything extensively on the talk page. Industrial metal "good article" nomination[edit]

Hi Musicaindustrial, I think that the industrial metal article is getting very close to the point where it can be nominated for good article status. I need to fill out some the references in the "video" and "industrial black metal" sections, but other than that, I think it's getting pretty comprehensive.
You know more about this procedure than I do because you got Arise to good article status. Do you agree that industrial metal is ripe for nomination?
