Deletions

Protections

Protect is an admin-only function, much like delete and block. Adding a tag does not do anything to the page. – Chacor 12:58, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Just to add to this, the addition of {{sprotected}} (or, for that matter {{protected}}) does not actually protect the page. The templates are used by admins, who can impose a protection on the page, to label it as protected. To reiterate, the templates are for informational purposes, and don't actually change anything in terms of page protection on the article (for example, an IP would still be able to edit your user page, despite the tag, as it has not actualy been protected by and admin). Question

Smeelgova have you done the landmark course/s? The reason I ask is I noticed you used a lot of "jargon" phrases. When I researched those phrases, I got Landmark sites (pro/anti). (Reply on my talk page if you want)Mark1800 23:37, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Not that I'm aware of. The closest places to do one of thier courses is over 2000km from me. I did have a friend ask me to go along to one of thier evenings, but I was flying out that night. Thus my original curosity.

You seem like a pretty good guy and I'm glad we're not in some sort of edit war or another at the moment. Yes, I have done some Landmark courses. Though I'm curious, if you have not done any Landmark courses, why do you have such a vested interest in supporting the positive POV of the organization's history and screening out the negative POV? "Military history" is one of the most important subjects when speak of sum of all human knowledge. To support contributors interested in the area over various language Wikipedias, we intend to form a user group. Hey y'all, the April 2021 WikiProject Military History Reviewing Drive begins at 00:01 UTC on April 1, 2021 and runs through 23:59 UTC on April 31, 2021. Points can be earned through reviewing articles on the AutoCheck report, reviewing articles listed at WP:MILHIST/ASSESS, reviewing MILHIST-tagged articles at WP:GAN or WP:FAC, and reviewing articles submitted at WP:MILHIST/ACR. Service awards and barnstars are given for set points thresholds, and the top three finishers will receive further awards.
