No problem with waiting a few days. Personally, i would simply cut and paste the list sections into new articles to work on instead of user-space, then other editors can bring them up to standard. This depends on being able to show notability of the characters (either individually or as a whole), but as many of the major character already have their own articles i think this should already be covered. Is there a particular reason you don't like that method here?Yobmod (talk) 14:16, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Americanpiemusicvideo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Americanpiemusicvideo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:10, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with File:Hankypankymusicvideo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Hankypankymusicvideo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 23:32, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

The Fame Article

I am not removing any information from this article. I am adding information that is true with refferences to prove my point. You are the one who is removing information from the article as you are deleting factual information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Youstinklmao (talkcontribs) 05:20, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

I left him another note. --Efe (talk) 09:13, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
I also want to comment on your edit here. You are fully aware Legolas that you are engaged in an edit war over small stuffs. The edit summary "revert" does not help at all. I see why your edit was reverted, again. I suggest, after all your effort to clean up pages, to give substantial edit summaries despite their eccentric behaviors nowadays. --Efe (talk) 09:17, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
FYI, I have left a hidden comment on GaGa's page. It seems this what keeps the edit war going on. I hope we can settle this. --Efe (talk) 09:21, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Of course. The only problem I see with Dance is that he always add contents when he knows its disputed and a consensus has yet to be reached. If someone tries to ignore the note, I'll either use my administrative tools (although I am sort of afraid because I am highly involved in this) or report to wherever appropriate. --Efe (talk) 09:31, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I understand your sentiments. I am just trying to "salvage" him from the abyss of his own "uberness". Anyway, I have started with that "LoveGame" thing and he seemed listening to me. He stop adding them. Second, I have given a link at GaGa's talk page regarding how to determine an associated act. So far, that's what I have accomplished. Its past 5 here. I have class. "See" you later... and enjoy your tea. --Efe (talk) 09:47, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Ok you have repeditly said that this source is bad--http://popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2009/02/lady-gaga-inter.html , please give reason why it is. I will tell you why it is reliable it is a entertainment weekly article(journalistic aproach) therefore reliable. Dance-pop (talk) 04:09, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Go ahead. I cannot help you about this matter... as of 12 pm. I have to eat my lunch. Hehe. I'll get into this matter, maybe later later. --Efe (talk) 04:31, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
I noticed this discussion from Efe's talk page. I have to weigh in here and say that the above source is reliable. Independent blogs are not reliable (per Wikipedia), but blogs from reliable sources reporting news, especially interviews, are reliable (per Wikipedia). Flyer22 (talk) 06:23, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Sometimes, even reliable sources get things wrongs, however. If there are other reliable sources which go against what one reliable source is reporting, then it is best to use the other reliable sources instead. Or combine them, relaying what each has reported. Flyer22 (talk) 06:29, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for clearing up what this is all about, Legolas2186. I was too lazy to go through and read/look at the revision history before weighing in on this (obviously). Flyer22 (talk) 06:35, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
To all involved, I've brought this up at WP:ANI#Disruption at Lady GaGa. Hersfold (t/a/c) 18:48, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
I have commented there although not sure it would help. Regarding the reverts, I don't want to chip in. Both you and Realist are working. --Efe (talk) 00:17, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Sure. Some of his/her edits are help, though. --Efe (talk) 04:59, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Which one specifically? --Efe (talk) 11:44, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

I'll check it. --Efe (talk) 11:50, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Have the discog protected. I think Poker is manageable. --Efe (talk) 11:57, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
I think no. Its a bad idea. Give them warnings first. If they don't stop, we block them. If IPs and users swarmed over those articles, we'll have the proper action. --Efe (talk) 04:48, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
OK. --Efe (talk) 04:55, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Rihanna discog

Try alternatives like adding a hidden comment on the page or dropping notifications to IPs. Not much activity or yesterday to warrant a protection. --Efe (talk) 10:33, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Yeah. You're a... a... tireless reverter. Hehe. Well, we don't use the tool for preemptive measures. If the page is being attacked by vandalism, drop me a message. If only bad charts, I am afraid. But still drop me a message. I'll help you educate them about the guidelines of WP. --Efe (talk) 10:47, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Eh Eh Capital/Lower Letters

There is no rules as to whether small or capital are used for second genres on wikipedia. Genres are the names of something. They are important, therefore the genre should begin with a capital besides it looks much better and less sloppy witht he use of capitals. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Youstinklmao (talkcontribs) 05:29, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Control Freak

Legolas, quit changing the Upper case letter to a lowercase. No wonder why so many other wikipedians hate you. Your a wikipedia control freak. You think you know everything. It's always your way or no way. Let someone else share what they know for once. I am the one that put Europop in the genre section, If it wasn't for me putting it there, then no one else would of yet you go along and constantly change it! Leave it for once. You can't handle having anyones but your own information on certain wiki articles. You don't own wikipedia, your no boss, your no better than anyone else on hear so quit acting like that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Youstinklmao (talkcontribs) 05:38, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi Youstinklmao. Please be civil when you drop comments on anybody's talk page. Legolas is right. As for the case of "Eh, Eh", Europop has to start with lowercase because there is another genre before it. You only capitalize the first entry, the rest are not. --Efe (talk) 05:42, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Your not a police officer, (as far as I know on wikipedia anyway) you have no authority over anyone. You can't warn me for anything! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Youstinklmao (talkcontribs) 05:44, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Oh, I have crashed out the latter part of my comment. In the article Europop, the word starts with the uppercase throughout. Perhaps you discuss it in the talk page. --Efe (talk) 05:47, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

In the article Europop, the word starts with a capital all throughout the page. Consider having a good read! It's best that you stick to editing articles about The Lord Of The Rings.

Alternate cover-The Fame

I think the alternate album has a place on the article. There has to be a reason for it. One blue, one red Lady GaGa. I think it complies with NFCC#8. You certinly making it a personal attack. I should contact the ANI for you and you too are not following 3RR rule. It is your opinion that I am being 'abusive' and 'threatning'. I have to clean up your mess, when you see a change on a page, go to the history, I put edit sums., but you dont seem to listen to them. I dont want to break the 3RR rules, but you are ignoring my comments, I have spoken to two admins before about the ignoring yet they ignored me. Please stop your "controversial" edits and reverts.Dance-pop (talk) 05:00, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Admins shouldnt open the ANI for any reason, or when someone disagrees. This is about content dispute. We are creating an edit war, we shouldnt, that is why in my edit sums. say disscuss at the edit page, so edit wars arent ongoing and we get in trouble. I am holding in my fruestraion and anger in, because I will get blocked, even though I shouldnt. Please stop you threating edits. Thanks. Re: Dance-pop

Having taken a quick look, I would say for the record that your redirection of Beautiful, Dirty, Rich (Lady GaGa song) while the AfD was still ongoing was inappropriate - you should wait for a consensus to form before taking such an action, and right now there is no consensus at all on that article. However, Dance-pop is continuing to edit war over a misinterpretation of sources from what I can see. I just commented at Talk:Lady GaGa, and will leave a note on Dance-pop's talk page in just a moment. Hersfold (t/a/c) 06:02, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Even if it is kept, I'd recommend you go along with the consensus. If there's no consensus to support a redirect or merge, talk it over on the talk page of the article before you do so. And as you pointed out, if the article is improved there may be no need to take any action.
Anyway, I've left a long explanation of things and a firm warning on Dance-pop's talk page. I'll probably be hearing from him soon, so hopefully we can work things out then. Hersfold (t/a/c) 06:19, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Disscussion Future pop

Anyways however reliable a source maybe, the genre future-pop needs to be established by a third party, untill then we cannot add it to the article. They will burn it at the GA then. "Legolas" (talk) 12:50, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

So we cant use primary sources. What about ref 5 on lady gaga which is primary source.Should all information about that be taken off.Dance-pop (talk) 04:35, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi regarding these comments should the sources from lady gagas site be deleted too with info. I think it should if mines were deleted, if not mine should go on the article, not in the info. box., by the way she is the only one who will ever say my genre is future pop(because she is descriiong her music, so must go on the article, unless there is a third paty who says she describes it as that). Should it be changed.Dance-pop (talk) 04:44, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Redirecting

Sorry for blanking it, I was going to redirect it to Dance-Pop's article of the same topic but it's fine now. Don't worry about it. --Youstinklmao (talk) 04:45, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Beautiful, Dirty, Rich

Legolas, could you please undo your edit and put the charts under the music video section so it doesn't appear next to the picture so that way it looks more presentable. I'm having trouble getting it back to the way it was before. Thanks Youstinklmao (talk) 05:46, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Actually, there is something in the music video section: The video was directed by Melina Matsoukas[4], the same director used for Just Dance. The video starts with Lady GaGa bitting and buring money. It is entirely set in a manison and features GaGa dancing with her back-up dancers and running away from the camera. She is also found laying down on a table of money and dancing in an elevator on her own. GaGa goes through many costume changes in the video. We are working on putting some more info there to fill up the space. Sorry but I disagree with, I think it looked cleaner the other way as music videos are usually known to have the picture on the left hand side with the info next to it. Please next time, discuss it with other editors before changing page layout as it can result in major dispute.

Please do not take any offence by this message as I am only giving my opinion. I will keep it the way you preffer it for now but it is likely to change once we gather more information. Regards Youstinklmao (talk) 05:55, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Fair enough. I understand your reasons for this.Happy editing,--Youstinklmao (talk) 06:01, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
No idea. Have to review what to do after there's no consensus. It's also unfair for Dance, although he can still comment/discuss with us using an IP. --Efe (talk) 06:42, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Sorry for being so slow today. Been so busy with real life responsibilities. --Efe (talk) 09:07, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Its really sad. Dance has never been a disrupt at all times. I am even afraid for him. If he continues to do the same thing, it might result to an indefinitely block. Regarding Rihanna, that picture is horrible. Who made that? It looks like her. --Efe (talk) 09:44, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Restored info on Lady Gaga

Hey Legolas2186. I just come to inform you that the info you restored in the Gaga's article is supported by a video, and videos should not be used as sources because they are easily to edit. Best regards, Sparks Fly 14:53, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Actually no, but the only info that is missed is the "Lady Gaga and the Starlight Revue", which is not a very important info because the only important thing we know about it, is that the group performed at Lollapalooza, and it is already stated in the article.

About my "high tone", I'm sorry if you thought that I "attacked" you for your mistake, not my intention. I will try to soften my words so that it does not repeat. Sparks Fly 15:23, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Raazpromotion.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Raazpromotion.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Naughtygirlmusicvideo.JPG

Orphaned non-free media (File:Loversinjapan.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Loversinjapan.jpg.

Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:13, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Just Dance - Music Video

What made my edits so "unacceptable"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mosherdude91 (talkcontribs) 15:16, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

"Valid" Information

My edits were valid. I removed the lease important charts because "Dutch" is not a chart. I have worked on the article to introduce more references and valid information. Why should the charts section be so clogged, it only needs maybe 10 chart positions, and even then #57 in France is not important chart information. The charts section shouldn't be used like this, as there is already a list of charts in the article The Fame (album). Stop adding useless information. Dt128 (talk) 13:30, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

I have not just deleted them because they have rubbish peaks, although that is partly responsible. I have deleted them becuase a link to something like "Dutch" does not constitute a valid album chart position. The chart postitions should reflect the overall chart performance of the album, rather than just adding them because it has charted.Dt128 (talk) 13:37, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi Dance, please don't use edit summaries like this. Assume good faith even if you understand that somebody has vandalized the page. Leave a warning to the IP instead. --Legolas (talktome) 06:19, 2 March 2009 (UTC) RE: Hi, Legolas2186. My name is GagaLoveGame or Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? Thank you for your adivice, I meant to say this is vandilism not don't. Sorry for the confusion. I thought the edit was acceptable, and next time I will consider what you said. P.S-What do you think of Gaga's LoveGame vid. Thanks again... and Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 07:55, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

I know, its my fav, its just her style and attitude that makes the vid cool. Oh and I see your from India thats a bit of a co-winky-dink. But I live in NZ...and Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 08:10, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I do not know what "ping" is? I will try to find the right sources for the German sources.Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 03:11, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

I found a refrence. Ref 1:http://acharts.us/album/37558 --Has sources for German and other countries charts. Pretty reliable.Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 03:22, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

RE/LoveGame

I know there needs to be a page but I can't find any sources. Maybe Amazon or Itunes or until she release it. Eh Eh is doing well in NZ, at no.15 and climbing-people really like the song. Yes LoveGame was released on radio, I guess it's because of the vid and its popularity. Sorry ( I came back on), I just finished study and I thought I surf the net for a while. So in India is Gaga popular?Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 09:08, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Just Dance did pretty well here at no.3; porbably because it was released here first--> if it was released in the U.S first it will have gone to no.1. Poker Face is way more popular it was at no.1 for like 10 weeks as much as that Crazy Frog song. N.Z. charts usually have R&B, Hip-hop, Rock, local and pop, dance and electronic. These are usually charted genres. Can't wait to make an article for LoveGame, and I passed my Sci test :) Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 03:44, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

I am not sure I'm the right person for the job. I'm new to Wikipedia, I can try but you need to explian it in more detail. Thanks. Oh and on the Lady Gaga article, in the genres can you put dance; I was looking at The Fame artilce and foubd dance was there but not on the main article. There is a refrence in The Fame article, so that will support it. Thanks. Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 04:23, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Yea. I will try when I have time, I am about to go off. LoveGame played on NZ radio over 2-3 weeks ago. It plays reguarlary on an unofficial chart that people vote for a song on their site. I think it has a very higher chance then Eh Eh whichs at no.9, esp. with the vid, its going to be BIG. P.S.Whats you fav. song on her album or another leaked one? Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 04:51, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

interesting

Legolas I think this might interest you. (http://www.desihits.com/blog/article/will-lady-gaga-rise-in-india-20090302)Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 06:21, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Okay. Thanks. I do not have time right now, I have alot of tests this week and have alot of homework and Cricket. Each day I will do a little bit. Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 07:12, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't see how the image uploaded by myself badly failed NFCC#8

It had everything that the previous image had. And it was purchased from an online service.

The last image (of her on the vespa) is from http://ultimate-ladygaga.org/ which is a non-official, non-associate web page. It was taken from another source.

Hi, about the first message about the Italian charts, I do not know any edit in which I put an Italian chart postion or ZI can't remeber, please tell me the edit I did. I will do the ref format from now on, it's great that the Gaga article is going to the GA.Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 03:49, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Harmful content to Gaga

People have recently being putting up LoveGame artilce. This one is contridicting bios. of living persons. It says she is a bisexual. Artilce-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LoveGame_(song) I thought you should see this for youself.Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 04:15, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

A Wrong Edit?

I thought we had settled this but obviously not. Cut down on the sarcasm, it's not needed nor should it be tolerated. Your not as innocent as most perceive you as. What kind of person do you think you are by telling others that they are rude and uncivil when you can't even look at your own ways.

How can you declare I made a wrong edit when all I did was remove a full stop after a word that was surounded by "commas" I believe that if something ends " , ? or ! then a full stop is not needed. You either put th full stop within the commas (which is the most common form) or not put them in at all.

It is in proper English grammer to do so. And don't tell me i'm wrong because this is what I have been taught my whole school life in an English speaking and writing country.

Child Funk (talk) 06:06, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

How was my last message offensive? It was anything but offensive. Did I swear at you? No. Did I call you a name? No. Was I judgemental? No. I told you to cut down on the sarcasm. It's English grammer. Like the other day, Instead of saying image fails NDDUUIDDHISDIOD whatever, (you'd obviosuly know the code) you said "Image badly fails NDUDUDUIDHU"

All I did was remove a full stop, because that's what I've been taught.

Child Funk (talk) 06:21, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Well, I never noticed that I added a break. Accidents do happen. Not everyone is perfect like you. And why do you resize the image back to 170? I checked when it was on 200 and it looked fine. I don't get it. If your so against the LoveGame article then why do you continously edit it? You nominate it for deletion or whatever but actually continue to edit something your against? Why bother? Child Funk (talk) 06:29, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

I know, I did question you but then again I didn't judge you on that. I was just asking because I couldn't see why someone totally against the article would edit it. Now that you have explained, I understand. But then again you have been judgemental on my edits. I mean you have called them bad, badly this, badly that etc. And revert things that don't need to be reverted like if an image fails Nifsdhihif#@#@, who cares. Does it effect you or bring harm? It doesn't as far as I can see. Child Funk (talk) 06:47, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey

Sorry, but did you read my message, if you wanted to contest to deletion please disscuss it. I have a right to delete my own talk page, thanks.Has Anybody Seen My Disco Stick? 10:39, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Just a quick note Legolas, to say that GagaLoveGame is correct: see here, Cheers SpitfireTally-ho! 10:43, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Legolas, ok, good thought, and very kind of you to take the time to teach GagaLoveGame. By the way, for future reference, removal of warnings is not prohibited either. Again, you can verify that here. Thanks! SpitfireTally-ho! 10:52, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
