AfD Nomination: Knicks4life[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem to me that Knicks4life meets these criteria, I have started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Knicks4life. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, an administrator will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. --  Netsnipe  (Talk)  06:13, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This was a non-notable biography according to the standards set out in WP:BIO.  (aeropagitica)  (talk)  06:26, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to make a good case for the username, which is knwon globally on many basketball message boards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Knea2006 (talkcontribs)

Firstly, sign your name with four tildes when you leave messages on Talk pages, ~~~~, in order for editors to contact you easily. Secondly, I left a message on your Talk page to say that this was a non-notable biography according to the standards set out in WP:BIO. Please read these standards carefully before deciding to recreate the article. An Internet username/handle isn't particularly notable outside of its specific newsgroup/bulletin board, even if they are a prolific poster. Remember that repeated recreation of previously-deleted material can be seen as vandalism and lead to you being blocked from editing for a period of time. Please do not do this unless you are 100% sure of your sources and can quote them extensively.  (aeropagitica)  (talk)  06:38, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page comments and warnings[edit]

Please do not remove messages from your talk page. Talk pages exist as a record of communication, and in any case, comments are available through the page history. You're welcome to archive your talk page, but be sure to provide a link to any deleted comments. Thanks. . Please see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines for more details. --Madchester 07:10, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Anna Nova.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Anna Nova.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:04, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Notability[edit]

The article Chelsea zinn has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This happened because the article seems to be about a person or group of persons but it does not indicate how or why that person or group is notable. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. — ERcheck (talk) 21:51, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:OliviaSaint2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:OliviaSaint2.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information cunt be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BrownCow • (how now?) 18:25, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate[edit]

I see you still have some hard feelings over me emabarrassing you and your article getting deleted and I can understand that, however there is no need to vandalize other people's pages. It is a waste of time anyway considering it will be reverted right away. Also I'm curious what caused this sudden outburst of anger nearly two months later.  Mertens21  Talk  01:56, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism of others' user pages[edit]

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. --Alf melmac 08:28, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make personal attacks as you did at Toula Vatos. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. Hut 8.5 19:42, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Goodfellas12.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Goodfellas12.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

AfD[edit]

Please stop. If you continue removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Chelsea Zinn, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Darrenhusted 11:01, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:SotirisMoustakasFuneral.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SotirisMoustakasFuneral.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:31, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
