Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights

hello Katniss. You messaged me on my messenger accusing me of vandalizing the wikipedia page for Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights. My edit said that Scooby Doo played in the playground before entering mystic manor. I was accused by you of vandalizing the page. I think that is 100% false. I've played the game before and Scooby Doo DOES in fact play on the playground before entering mystic manor. He has to because he needs to get some Scooby snacks before entering the mansion. How is it vandalism if it's the truth? What my edit said was true.

Hi RJFJR, the cleanup that would be needed is to rewrite much of the article to remove in-universe descriptions of the character, though I mistakenly hadn't noticed that the other "in-universe" tag was there, which would cover the issue. While searching for a tool to track page information, I found something else instead and was not disappointed. :) Afterwards, I had another idea: This page shows all inclusions, and Wikipedia has an edit history for all these pages. So it will definitely be possible to create a timeline afterwards, without having to monitor the current inclusion count. Alternatively, one could daily download this page: https://tools.wmflabs.org/templatecount/index.php?lang=en&namespace=10&name=User+new+message+large ... into a huge folder to get a history.

Haha, I guess yes. I had no idea that she's a Hunger Games character, so the "cat" probably stuck in my head. I was trying to think of some actual use-cases: The first example was taken from real usage on my page, the second one was created because I thought some might prefer blue instead of green, the third one was inspired by sand and holidays, especially next to the water-blue box. When I was about to create a red one to fill the rainbow, I noticed the "Purple, violet, and magenta colors" table on Web colors and decided to use that instead: Less aggressive. Looking for an example left-icon for any of the buttons, I scrolled through this list and saw the cat. Yep, Katniss is the main character in The Hunger Games books/films which is the inspiration for my username. The "may the odds be ever in your favor" in my signature also comes from that as well, after users who also liked Katniss's character kept leaving that phrase on my talk page jokingly lol. Hi! Oh, no, I didn't think you made the edit in bad faith or you were trying to vandalize the page. You are correct that the "both" definitely makes the sentence grammatically clearer in hindsight, I've gone ahead and added that back. However, the reason I reverted your edit is because of the content in the parathenses "(in environments such as this one here)" I may just be understanding what you're saying wrong, but generally it's frowned upon to do a meta-reference to Wikipedia (I'm assuming "this one here" means the Wikipedia environment?) as well as use parathenses for hypothetical examples. Happy to discuss this further if you like or disagree. Sorry about the "same as previous" edit summary, recently got a new phone which will occasionally be annoying and autofill stuff in based on previous summaries I've written/reviewed. I had meant for the edit summary to be much more descriptive of why I actually reverted the edit. Scooby Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster and Michael Berryman

Hello Katniss,

I made a change to the Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster recently and you undid it, I thought I did something wrong so I made sure it went good the second time I made the edit and you undid it again and even said it was vandalism. The only thing I did was adding Michael Berryman to the cast of the movie because he is in it. First I credited him as a cameo and the second time as Zombie Head because that is what the IMDB page of the movie says.

When I watched the movie two weeks back I noticed he was in it but not listed as a cast member on the Wikipedia page so that's why I did it.

Now I would like to know why you undid it twice and even act like it is some sort of vandalism while that certainly wasn't my intention and the actor is actually in it.

Hi! I just watched the credits again from my copy of the film, and saw that you are indeed correct that Michael Berryman is credited as the Zombie Head. It also wasn't my intention to act like your edit was in bad faith. The reasoning for my reversions was because there has been a significant amount of vandalism to the Scooby-Doo live action films articles lately, where users will actually add fake names and make up cast members. I was going off of memory (another mistake on my part) and didn't remember any "Zombie Head" from the movie, and also presumed that it was vandalism the second time because you changed it from just "Cameo" to "Zombie Head." I apologize for my misconceptions and I promise I will be more careful next time :) I've gone ahead and reverted my edit as well back to the way you had it. Hey Katniss, hope life's treating you well. Considering the work you've been doing you may like to look at enabling Wikipedia:Twinkle which makes quite a few tasks easier, such as warning users for vandalism, reporting users to WP:AIV after final warnings, reports to WP:UAA (that I see you've done), page protect request WP:RPP, deletion request, also welcoming new users with positive edits (I like the 'graphical' one), etc. It just adds a drop down menu to the top-right bar. It's funny you should suggest that, I was actually thinking of looking into that sometime soon since I've been doing more anti-vandal/pending changes work lately (I have the pending changes reviewer permission so I feel I should use it at least once in a while haha). So...

Hey, I have made an effort to improve mini survival kit page. In the past I viewed the page and saw that it appeared to have been created by an energetic young person.

Some of the points they made were “skewed”. They include many items in the kit whic do not fit in it. This style kit is 100cc volume. The equipment they list is reasonable survival gear and reasonable survival technique.

My argument with them is that they removed input about survival, a topic which they are including in their article. They appear to dispute the listing of prescription medicines in the first aid section, and they seem to include items in the kit which cannot be a part of the kit (mechanically).

I appreciate that the mini kit itself is a modular portion of a larger plan. The wiki page seems to address the kit as a singular item but my effort to support the kit as a single Item is rejected. Further my input to survival within the article appears rejected as well, while there are plenty of opportunities to expand the detail, offer techniques, and discuss the fact that much of the kit itself only has a value with additional knowledge and training.

Thanks for trying to make the wiki a better resource. A specific complaint of mine is that reviewers/ editors seem willing to remove content without a plan to see the material covered in what ever format, section, or with an appropriate link/ cross reference.

Hi Sp00n593, thanks for your message. I've relooked at the edits and I agree that some of the points about items which don't fit are skewed. The reason I had reverted the edits initially is because the edit broke a file name by adding "small" (even if there are typos in the file name, you can't add stuff without re-uploading. It's annoying, but that's unfortunately the way Wikipedia is designed), and you also broke the formatting of the page as you can see here. Additionally, much of the content you added was off the topic of the survival kit itself, and branched off into the topic of Survival skills, which we already have an article for. We're all just volunteers here, so I don't make any of the policies and sometimes don't agree with certain policies. However, per WP:OFFTOPIC it's discouraged to go off the topic of the article itself, even if it is a very related topic. I do agree with your point about it being necessary to offer techniques and provide input to survival though, so I've added Survival skills into the "see also" section for the article.

You're very welcome, I do my best though I'm only human and I try my best to adhere to the policies while also trying to make Wikipedia a better place and resource for knowledge. I've also only recently began reviewing pending changes, so it's a learning curve for me as well and I admit there are a lot of intricacies in the process. Addressing your complaint regarding the reviewing process, when an article is pending changes protected it's usually due to a high level of vandalism and misinformation being added to the article. Reviewers are usually hyper-diligent because of all the vandalism to the article, so some reviewers are very quick to reject edits by presuming its vandalism. I try to avoid doing this and judge the edit(s) as fairly as I can, but admittedly I'm only human and I occasionally make mistakes as well. I was correcting the Main template in the section so it would point to the article for the Dragon Ball manga (where the Ginyu Force appeared first), rather than the Dragon Ball Z anime (which was released later). Hi Katniss - I changed 'unique' to 'unusual' because the sentence makes no sense, for two reasons.

1) To claim that the theme of labor among children is 'unique' to this novel seems a stretch. Unique means one-of-a-kind. Can anyone honestly claim their are no other children's novels in the world with the theme of labor?

2) If it *is* unique, then 'as many authors' makes no sense. If it is unique then it should be 'as all other authors'.

The time log shows you uploaded the file at the exact same time I reverted it, which I could not have known. Hi Clément Chevallier, The Wikimedia Commons was actually the one to delete your picture, as you can see from the deletion log. I simply removed it from the article, as it was just showing up as a red-link (as you can see here) because it had been deleted by Commons. Hi, you reverted a change I made, from "Lizzie Ansingh" to "Lizzy Ansingh". The lady's name really was Lizzy, I have her hand written letters to prove it. Hi X10, actually yes you did change a file name, twice in fact. As you can see in this diff, you changed "Lizzy" to "Lizzie" and in another case "Lizzy" to the incorrect name "Lizyie." Additionally, the article we have on Wikipedia clearly lists here name as Lizzy Ansingh along with multiple reliable sources which also list it as "Lizzy" (not "Lizzie"). Your message also is very confusing, given you were the one to change it to "Lizzie," not me. The article reflected the correct name "Lizzy" before you edited it. I changed it, but I changed it back when I saw I accidentally changed the wrong word.. When I was done, the file names were Lizzie, the text was Lizzy. You undid all my changes, the wrong ones and the right ones. X10 (talk) 16:53, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi X10, apologies for the mistake then, I went back and changed all instances of "Lizzie" to "Lizzy." The reason I had initially reverted your edit was because you had changed two of the file names (presumably accidentally) as you can see by your second and last revisions in this diff. The file name unfortunately can't be changed however, though you can request for a file mover to rename the files to reflect Lizzy's correct name (instructions here). Notable Alumni

I recently made an edit to Babcock University page and you reverted it. I will appreciate if this is reconsidered.

I attended Babcock University myself and I am a Nigerian. The notable alumni, Shola Akinlade who i added to the list is a well respected person in the Nigerian startup Space. There are several articles about him and how he started his company from nothing and has grown it thus far. I have also used a well qualified link (Forbes article) to justify this addition.

Why did I add him? 1. He is the founder of the first Nigerian Startup to get accepted into Y-combinatior (one of the biggest accelerators in the world). 2. He runs a fast growing startup in Nigeria called Paystack that raised 1.3 Million dollars in seed rounding from foreign investors. In Nigerian startup investment landscape, that is huge. 3. Hi Cfkunkle, generally if you are trying to reference info, it should be put inside <ref></ref> tags (not just dropped in the middle of the article), otherwise it may look like you are spamming an article link, which people unfortunately do sometimes. HiRISE image

Hey Jimmarsmars, I did remove a picture because it did not appear properly - it was showing just the caption text and not the image, meaning it was probably an error in uploading which will occasionally happen. I would suggest just re-uploading it and adding it again to the article after you have done so. Hi Katniss,

I would like to know what exactly you mean that my edits are not constructive. I am of hispanic descent and I am doing necessary corrections to last names by removing hyphens or adding their maternal last name when it comes to Spanish born individuals. I come across many of those easy to fix errors. So with Carlos Salinas De Gortari he had a lower case d instead of it being D as part of his last name.

Please allow me to fix that again.

Hey Eitandan1 / Mario, two of the things you changed in your changed a file name which broke the image. Unfortunately, the way Wikipedia is set up, altering a file name in any way will break the image because you are changing the name it was originally uploaded under. If you want to change the file name, you will unfortunately have to re-upload the file completely under the correct name to avoid having the image break and display an ugly redlink like it does in your edit here. As for the other edit you made which just changed the name, I took a few years of Spanish in high school, I had (probably erroneously) remembered how the "de" is usually lowercase because it's an article (just like "the," "a," "and," etc. is lowercase in English), though given you're of Hispanic descent obviously you would have more knowledge about this than I. I'll switch back the "de" piece of your edit, the filenames are probably good as they are, unless you're really determined to have them under the grammatically correct file name, in which case you can reupload the image. Hey HistoryMysteryFixer, what happened is you accidentally altered the file name, presumably to fix the typos in it, as you can see here. Unfortunately, the file name was uploaded with those typos, so to avoid breaking the image, we have to leave the file name intact or re-upload the file under the correct name before changing it in the article. I'm presuming "did I read right that you appreciated Purple heart page edit?" refers to the welcome template I put on your talk page? It was just a generic template that I sometimes leave on people's talk pages to welcome them, though I do appreciate your contributions

Hi Nickyjampr40, the reason I deleted the image was because the file was deleted by Commons because of lack of permission. August 2018

Hello, I saw that you reverted the changes to the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship page. You may have seen them as unnecessary, but if you look at the belt, it clearly states Worlds with an S. Everything written or spoken about it is plural to make it different than other titles. So Wiki really needs to be correct in that regard and the changes should stand. A quick google search should show the difference. I also mentioned it once on Twitter and the NWA official page replied to me, saying that they always use the plural version! Hi PunkerSXE I presume you are talking about this reversion from way back in July? If so, you blindly broke multiple image files by pluralizing the file name, which can not be changed even if it has a typo in it without reuploading the file. As for your comment about Twitter, sadly anyone can claim anything on Wikipedia which is why we need reliable sources to support that change. You are welcome to change all those things back if you can find a reliable source and reupload all the files as to not break them. Hi Electricmaster, agreed, but that's not all of what you added. Your edit says that "it was" succeeded by Witch's Ghost. I know it's a bit nitpicky, but "was" implied that it has somehow stopped being succeeded by Witch's Ghost, as "was" is describing things that happened in the past tense. The "abilities" portion of what you added is WP:TRIVIA, while it may be true isn't notable to place in the article and comes off as a personal interpretation (i.e. it's just cartoon physics, he doesn't have any special "abilities" different from other characters that are ever talked about in the show). The other piece, "That season, the competition had fallen between Scooby-Doo's show, and another show and a show from Ruby-Spears Enterprises" is very vague and it's unclear what other "shows" are being referred to.
