Your article needs to be translated correctly[edit]

Information icon Welcome, and thank you for contributing the page Luxgen5 Sedan to Wikipedia. While you have added the page to the English version of Wikipedia, the article is not in fluent English. We invite you to re-translate it into grammatically correct English. It currently has been listed at Pages Needing Translation, but if it is not translated within two weeks, the article will be listed for deletion. A tag has been placed on Kazutoshi Mizuno requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-drive/news/industry-news/how-a-star-designer-plans-to-take-on-bmw-with-25000-sedans/article23855246/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa (talk) 02:08, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about WM Motors XLD[edit]

Hello, Jengtingchen,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether WM Motors XLD should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/WM Motors XLD .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Prince Motors (Taiwan) moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Prince Motors (Taiwan), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Geely Englon SC5-RV, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sedan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). March 2018[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Wey VV7 a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:2018 Lexus LS.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:2018 Lexus LS.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 15:00, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well done on expanding the articles on Chinese automobiles. Keep it up. My only advice when placing photos is use one Front image in the Infobox and one Rear image in the galley section. Notice

The article Bluecity has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

inadequate evidence of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The end[edit]

For those who care and also those who have been regularly reviewing the pages I've created (mostly for Chinese cars and Chinese-car-related contents), I regret to say that I am no longer allowed to edit and create pages in Wikipedia due to the censorship of Wikipedia in China that started in April 2019. I wish that one day there will be a way to edit and write in Wikipedia in China without VPN, but before that day happens, I will only be able to do so whenever I'm outside of Mainland China.

I will keep uploading picture of new Chinese cars whenever I spot one and is able to grab a shot, and hopefully someone can continue to create and write the articles.

The past few years have been great and I've learnt a lot about writing for Wikipedia. Starting from 2017, I am a full time automotive designer working in China. Originally from Taiwan, I've been passionate about cars and have been researching and also observing the different makes and models of cars around where ever I am since I was young. After realizing that Chinese cars have been long ignored and information about Chinese cars have been scarce and outdated, I've been devoted to creating pages for them. The pages I've created are apparently not perfect, but they're at least a start for people who knows more to expand. So here's goodbye and hopefully I will be able to start updating Wikipedia about new Chinese cars soon.

Deletion nomination[edit]

Your contributed article, ORA R1 (duplicate article)[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, ORA R1 (duplicate article). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – ORA R1. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at ORA R1. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. N2e (talk) 04:05, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:JMC Yunba[edit]

Hello, Jengtingchen. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "JMC Yunba".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 22:33, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Leapmotor moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Leapmotor, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. A tag has been placed on Chery eQ5 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://electricvehicleweb.in/chery-electric-suv-s61/ and https://www.chinapev.com/chery/chery-unveiled-new-model-chery-s61-will-be-a-new-ev-from-its-all-aluminum-pure-electric-platform/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

November 2020[edit]

Hi. It seems that you know Chinese since you created a lot of Chinese car articles with Chinese references and sources in English Wikipedia. But why seldom in Chinese Wikipedia? Since there is very lack of Chinese car articles in Chinese Wikipedia compare to English Wikipedia, would you mind to contribute in Chinese Wikipedia as well? I know Wikipedia is currently blocked in China but if you have the ability to visit English Wikipedia, why don't you contribute into Chinese Wikipedia as well? It is pathetic to see Chinese cars are so unwell known and neglected in their ”native language”. User3204 (talk) 03:46, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oh hi there, thanks for the various car pictures you contributed to Wikipedia Commons by the way. I don't really create in Chinese Wikipedia simply because I have a serious issue typing in simplified Chinese as I'm use to Traditional Chinese. It is simply inconvenient for me. Also, the car names are just awkward in Chinese and they vary so much from region to region. For example, in Taiwan we've stopped giving the models Chinese names and simply stick to their original English names used internationally, while in the main land they'd still give them Chinese names, and for several brand names, it's different again in Hong Kong. For Chinese locals, websites such as autohome seem to be a better place to look up info for Chinese cars anyways. My act of creating these pages in English is simply just to help foreigners understand the current largest automotive market in the world, and also potentially where the future of automobiles would thrive. You've been warned several times previously for copying text from sources. Today I removed parts of Draft:Jidu Auto, as they were copied from the source; see overlap here. Request reason:

This whole thing was due to a mistake from my editing styles. Normally, I'd copy the info from the source and paste them in the edit page as bullet points to start writing about them and to finally form a complete paragraph. However, from time to time, bits of the info would be left completely unchanged by mistake, especially when something came up and I have to leave my computer right away. This is partially the reason for this time while the other part of the mistake was also accidentally hitting the submit button when I'm still planning to make changes to the draft. Finally, how can I demonstrate my understanding of copyright and show that I commit to not copying if I'm blocked indefinitely? Thank you.

Decline reason:

In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. To allow the reviewing administrator to assess your understanding, please respond to the following questions in your next unblock appeal, explaining in your own words:

  • What is copyright?
  • How is Wikipedia licenced?
  • Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
  • Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
  • How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?

Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 11:03, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Note also that copying the bullet points and elaborating on these to form a complete paragraph, that's not permitted here. --Yamla (talk) 11:03, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Jengtingchen (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

In order to show my understanding of how copyright works on Wikipedia, the following are my answers to the questions listed. What is copyright? How is Wikipedia licensed? Wikipedia's contents are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution- ShareAlike License which require copies of the work to be released under the same or similar license as the original and the GNU Free Documentation License which means that anyone is permitted to copy and distribute copies of Wikipedia pages without changing it.

Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia? Using copyrighted content on Wikipedia incorrectly could create legal liabilities and damage Wikipedia. Since anyone is permitted to copy and distribute copies of Wikipedia pages, this also creates a loophole in the system and could further render Wikipedia's license invalid.

Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content? We can use limited portions of copyrighted content for purposes including criticisms and commentaries, news reports, research, nonprofit educational uses, and parodies. In the case of Wikipedia pages, it's mostly for news reporting and nonprofit educational uses.

How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future? Rewrite and rephrase every piece of info obtained from the source in my own words. Obtaining info from non-English sources would especially be helpful since the English version of the info would be completely rewritten from my side. I also understand that copying bullet points to form a complete paragraph is causing an issue and would change my ways of writing.

Accept reason:

Congratulations, you are unblocked. Be aware, however, that you likely won't get a second chance at violating copyright. If you do copy and paste some text into the editor with the intention to use it as a basis for your own words, be sure to delete that text before submitting your edit! Don't make that mistake. ~Anachronist (talk) 05:34, 15 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Chery eQ7 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Chery eQ7 is a different vehicle to Chery eQ5

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It is in fact a rebadge with a restyled front end and rear bumper. If the Chinese market twin cars of Japanese brands share a single page, these two are clearly sharing the same page as well. We just need a new section for the eQ7 on the eQ5 page. carnerd (talk) 11:14, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
