Your article, Miner of duty, is currently being reviewed as a proposed deletion. The reasons are lack of provided context and general notability. To help keep it up you should add more context and details (from a non-biased standpoint). RH - (rosscoolguy) (talk) 19:33, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am editing it for spelling, grammar, and layout; but there is only so much I can do. Please consider spending more time on the article if you want it to stay up. I have some helpful links on my user page if you want editing help. Thanks! RH - (rosscoolguy) (talk) 19:39, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There are 8 pictures on that page, which one? It doesn't really matter which one, you should be able to use any of those images as fair use using this tag: {{non-free game screenshot}}. -- Patchy1 REF THIS BLP 17:53, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a game guide[edit]

Please keep in mind when writing about White Noise: A Tale of Horror or any other video game, that Wikipedia is not a game guide. Articles about video games should not read like a game walk through, but should instead limit themselves to high-level descriptions of the general gameplay, and concentrate more on verifiable content such as game reviews, sales or number of online subscribers, etc. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:23, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article White Noise: A Tale of Horror has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable indie game

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sorry, I overlooked your message, will respond shortly Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:54, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, multiple problems.

I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Nothing about the company (location? staffing? profits/turnover) just unsourced spam.
  • It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: made numerous games... make sequels to every sucessful game... company took off... well known... good indie games... trys its best... improved gun textures
  • The article was created in a single edit without wikilinks or references, and looks as if was copied from an unknown and possibly copyrighted source. Not a reason for deletion since I didn't need to check

Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:01, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for message. I'm sorry if I've upset you, but I honestly can't see what I've done to provoke your outburst, other than delete the article. I've apologised for initially missing your post, and posted what to me looks like a perfectly polite and detailed explanation for my actions. I can't see how I've "intimidated" you, or metaphorically kicked you in the groin, or accused you of being a pothead. If you have a specific point that you would like me to address, you need to be clearer about what exactly it is, Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:29, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about it, your message was positively benign compared to some of the stuff I get. My first two article got deleted, so I know it's no fun. If you need any help, just ask Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:26, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Videogames, xboxlive, horror, indie games.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Videogames, xboxlive, horror, indie games.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:28, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

White Noise: A Tale of Horror[edit]

The admin who deleted the article was simply carrying out the consensus of the Article for Deletion discussion. If you think the closure of the AfD was premature, you could (politely) ask him to reopen the AfD, but don't be surprised if he says no. I can put the deleted text in your sandbox, if you want me too, but unless you think that you can solve the notability problems, it will be liable for deletion again. Whilst I understand your interest in these relatively obscure games, it's always going to be difficult to satisfy the notability criteria Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:10, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'll put the text here. I think that the main problems are that most of the text, other than the reception, is unreferenced to independent sources. As I indicated above, if it is difficult to find references, it may be that the game is just not notable enough. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:44, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
