Question

I think you misunderstood the reason for the PRODs. Character articles should be more than simple plot reiteration, we should be aiming for something that gives notability outside the fictional universe they exist within. You may want to consider a merge to a general list of characters. Otherwise, all that we have here are character descriptions that could otherwise site on the main article for the book. Note that Chad is the only Featured Article that falls under Category:Landlocked countries. As such, it should be an example for other country articles to follow, not the other way around. Rwanda categories
Thanks for the recategorising the Rwanda article - it seems I had made a mistake about the way to do such categorisations. I actually removed them because that was the way the categories for the Cameroon article were organised at the time it became featured. However, on reading WP:EPON I see that the policy is that "an article should not be excluded from any set category on the grounds that its eponymous category is made a "subcategory" of that category" so your rv was correct. - Because unlike Barons and Counts, Duke (and Lord), are used in fiction without regard to whether they actually are lords of a duchy, whether they actually are a duke. The Duke of Deception is just one example. And further there are "dukes" which are merely known in the fictional work as "lords". So it's better that these lords and ladies are grouped under nobility in order to prevent such issues and confusion. (Note that fictional lords and ladies was upmerged/deleted at WP:CFD for such reasons.) - jc37 05:32, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Lundy in the 1650s
Hi Thanks for your addition to Lundy however it means that the article now has conflicting dates: "In 1656 the island was acquired by Lord Saye and Sele" (which is supported by a reliable source) & "In 1655 a force of 40 Ottoman ships captured the Isle of Lundy, which served as the main base for Ottoman naval and privateering operations in the North Atlantic until 1660" - unfortunately the reference you gave isn't working for me. Caribbean Countries

However, that page currently doesn't include the dependent territories, and if it did I doubt it would include areas like the Caribbean Netherlands. - As far as I know the Caribbean Netherlands is not a single entity, but a collective name for the three entities (Bonaire, Saba, and Saint Eustatius) that have been integrated into the Netherlands proper. All three have individual municipal governments. Of course, even before dissolution they were still all legally full parts of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and thus legally not dependent territories. I'll look into finishing up that Caribbean list, basically copying off List of sovereign states and dependent territories in North America later, unless you or someone else wants to do it. Category:Netherlands Antilles stubs
Hi Goustein - your newly created stub category, Cat:Netherlands Antilles stubs has been speedily deleted. It was a re-creation of a stub category which was deleted at WP:SFD in November last year. With very few exceptions, stub types are only used for existing political entities - changes to the Netherlands constitution rendered the term Netherlands Antilles obsolete, and as such, stubs relating to this former entity were re-assigned to the new term Caribbean Netherlands, or to the respective Sint Maarten and Curaçao stub categories, or both. In future, if you wish to make major changes to existing stub types (such as renaming or creating templates or categories), please do so through the usual process pages, WP:SFD (nominations for renaming or deleting) or WP:WSS/P (proposals of new stub categories and templates). Arthur Gordon Pym
Sorry to be a pit pushy on The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket. Obviously, Poe refers to the Polly but a self-reference isn't the best choice here. The section is for sources of inspiration to Poe; unless a reliable source is found that shows the event was a significant inspiration for Poe's writing the book, it's out of place. Alternatively, it might be worth mentioning in the plot summary, which doesn't need outside referencing. What do you think? --Midnightdreary (talk) 13:19, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Retrieved 2011-09-08.? Huntress argues that Poe probably read details of the Polly in a book by R. Thomas, Remarkable Events and Remarkable Shipwrecks (New York: 1836). Huntress supports this claim by citing parallel passages in Thomas (pp. 345-350) and Pym, including two long sentences quoted verbatim by Poe. - I had fixed half of it. Could you check it to see whether they are relevant or not. A lot of countries, I don't know much about their history so I just the contents that are already there. There are many that appear more than once (such as Bulgaria, Vietnam, Georgia), I merge them all together so that they only appear once. Please check them. Thank.
