Darkest night

I spent the darkest night of my life on (from June 3, the silver anniversary or 25th year since my holy guide LUIS appeared to us on June 3, 1983), on July 27. I received the court resolution: 12 justices with 3 on leave signed the paper which put the last nail to my judicial coffin. Arturo D. Brion the Benjamin of the Court, signed the cremation of my career. I worked hard for this from 1978 to 1982, sitting beside Brion's wife, daily, Tonette Articona, Laguna. My faith gave me not hope, but the light, the Lux in Domino that I saw at Leyte, 1998 Good Friday:

I have responded to your concern at the FAC. Cheers. Gary King (talk) 04:51, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Checked. --Efe (talk) 05:34, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I'm so proud! Whoo-hoo, as the guys would say. My first! ;) --Figureskatingfan (talk) 04:20, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Welcome. --Efe (talk) 05:16, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Whats next

Hey Efe, next article for FA will be the Thriller album. First however I have two Jackson related articles at GAN that I want to get through. It's kind of odd, after getting MJ to FA, I cant really beat that. — Realist2 (Speak) 03:32, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Why? --Efe (talk) 03:35, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Well my main field of interest is Michael Jackson, after getting his article to FA, I've completed my biggest goal. I might go for a featured topic on Jackson next. — Realist2 (Speak) 03:41, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
With Michael as your biggest goal, it means that sub-Jackson topics are very easy for you to getting them reach an FA status. --Efe (talk) 03:45, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, hopefully. — Realist2 (Speak) 03:47, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Good luck. Something I could help you with? --Efe (talk) 03:55, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, there isn't anything right now, your always welcome to help copy edit Thriller when I add new material to it. At the minute I'm just waiting for these GA reviews to come through. You more than welcome to review them if you wish, your quite neutral when it comes to MJ so you would be ideal actually. My watchlist hasn't moved in days (I have hardly edited these past 2/3 days. — Realist2 (Speak) 04:03, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Let's see if I can do a review. Im not really at reviewing these days. More on WikiHousekeeping. See my contribs. --Efe (talk) 04:06, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
I warn you they are not nice topics, Michael Jackson's health and appearance & 1993 child sexual abuse accusations against Michael Jackson. If you don't feel up to it no sweet. The first one isn't so bad. My last review was of Heather Mills which was a complete nightmare. I won't review for a while. — Realist2 (Speak) 04:11, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Not my type of topic. I only review music-related articles and leave others to other reviewers. --Efe (talk) 04:14, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
They're not my type either, the music aspect is much more fun. — Realist2 (Speak) 04:16, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Yes, because we both love music. --Efe (talk) 04:18, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

2008 was meant to be a great year for music: Janet, Madonna, Mariah and Usher have all released albums. None of them were particularly great. Janet's was OK, Madonnas was a let down against confession's, Mariah's was worse than Emancipation, Ushers was truly dreadful in all honesty. Seriously, I am so disappointed in Ushers new album. 2008 should have been a huge year — Realist2 (Speak) 04:25, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

I actually wanted to hear another "We Belong Together" and "Burn". =) --Efe (talk) 05:10, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
I took a look at "Deja Vu", sorry for delay, been busy offline. — Realist2 02:18, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the edits. --Efe (talk) 08:16, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Deletion of Talk Pages

Is it appropiate that a user deleted several talk pages of the articles I created. User:MZMcBride deleted them per csd g6, but after checking the criteria for deletion and criteria for speedy deletion, I see no good reason as to why he deleted the pages. Could you check this out for me please? Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JayJ47 (talkcontribs) 22:41, 1 August 2008

Can you please give me the links of those pages where McBride have deleted its corresponding talk pages? Thank you. --Efe (talk) 04:55, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Its ok. Everything's sorted. It turns out that his been deleting several other talk pages and many users have warned/asked him why his been making these edits. If you would like to see the discussions about his edits go to this page. Thank you for your help again though. JayJ47 (talk) 07:42, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Gabi dito sa US; magandang gabi po sa inyo. Kamusta ang Philippines ngayon? Mainit pa ba? Nakita ko sa userpage mo na nagaaral ka ng Entrepreneurship. Iyan din ang course ko. Beyonce

I guess that why's the State of New York has a marriage license registered in the names of Shawn Carter and Beyonce Knowles??? Public matter my ass! Their relationship was secret for 4 years, why would she annouced that they are married. Her personal life is her prerogative. Whether she or he announces it or not, you cannot hide from legal paper. Dancefloor royalty (talk) 10:51, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

The state of New York also has spaces on their marriage license for both spouses to indicate what they'd like their names to be after the marriage. If she didn't fill in a name change on that license, her name stays the same (ditto for him). Ariadne55 (talk) 12:23, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Per WP:BLP, it must be sourced by the most-reliable source available. --Efe (talk) 07:40, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Edits

Hey there, I noticed your edits in Déjà Vu (Beyoncé Knowles song) and your edits are clogging up the page history. Can you try to make all the edits in one edit? Or at least cut down on the number of edits you make every few minutes. Thanks. DiverseMentality(Discuss it) 19:44, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Hmm. Is that a problem? That's how I edit buddy but I'll try cutting it down, as suggested. Thanks for dropping by. --Efe (talk) 07:55, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
There is nothing to say it's a problem, so I'd ignore the above statement. You'd think people would have better things to do with their time, but apparently not. LuciferMorgan (talk) 14:16, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Well, it is suggested here because it clogs up the history page. I'm not telling you because I have nothing better to do, but it's easier to see what has changed with fewer edits. There wouldn't be a preview warn template if it wasn't a problem now would there? But of course, it's nothing but a simple suggestion. DiverseMentality(Discuss it) 18:49, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Good suggestion though. But there are just instances that when Im editing, I do it by section. --Efe (talk) 11:44, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Yeah that's fine. Gary King (talk) 15:26, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Would you happen to have any useful references for What's It Gonna Be (Beyoncé Knowles song)? Gary King (talk) 04:36, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello. I have no sources about this single. I have been searching all about Dangerously in Love when taking this to GA but I haven't read about "What's It Gonna Be". Why? You're taking it to GA also? I'll try to find. --Efe (talk) 06:30, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I'd like to take it to GA if possible. Gary King (talk) 06:33, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Hmm. You love the song? We can it take to GA if sources come to light. Any other Beyonce-related song you would like to promote? By the way, could you please help me or give comments to "Deja Vu"? I am taking it to FA, for the third time, to the FAC room sometime this month, when issues are resolved. Thanks Gary. --Efe (talk) 06:39, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
I'll take a look at it, but I haven't been around FAC in a little while and am focusing on GAs right now. Gary King (talk) 06:40, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Ah, ok. Thanks. --Efe (talk) 06:50, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Do you think it will even be possible to find any more information for the single's article ("What it's gonna be")? Especially since it was only released in Japan, so it has a limited release, etc.? Gary King (talk) 06:52, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Its a special release so I think sources are limited. But I think there are sources out there that need to be discovered. I am thinking that if it managed to chart (in Japan), it would be hard for us to read their sources, if it was not written in English. As for the production and music and lyrics, need to be searched on and offline. --Efe (talk) 07:02, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

White Stripes GAN

Well, it would be cool if Personal Best was a GA, but my main priority for several months now has been trying to get The White Stripes listed as a GA. I have meticulously reviewed, sourced, edited and formatted it to push it toward FA status, yet so far no one has even paid attention to move it to at least GA status. Help would be appreciated. :) Tim010987 (talk) 07:05, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to tell you but Personal Best seems not GA-ready yet. My very first concern is that it lacks sources. The infobox is even not of C-class (because its incomplete) and there are lots of MoS non-compliant style and formatting. I would like to help with the latter comments but the sourcing should be done by the editor of the article. Thank you. --Efe (talk) 07:19, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm not really concerned with the Team Dresch album page, though. I want the White Stripes page to receive its GA status. You have no idea how much time I've put into the article and how hard I worked. Almost everything that should be sourced on The White Stripes page is sourced. And what does "sourcing should be done by the editor" mean? I contributed more than half of the entire White Stripes article, so aren't I 'the editor'? Do you at least think the White Stripes article itself is GA-ready? Tim010987 (talk) 09:31, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, we do not understand each other. My concern is Personal Best because its currently a GAN. Anyway, whatever you want to do, its up to you. Good luck. --Efe (talk) 09:36, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
The White Stripes is currently on the GAN list too (I put it there, along with Personal Best). That's why I mentioned it. In fact, I put The White Stripes Wiki page on the GAN list even before I put Personal Best on the GAN list. So, out of those two GAN's that I listed, The White Stripes is the one I want to reach GA the most. Tim010987 (talk) 09:41, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) I checked and White Stripes is also a GA nominee. Please put this template on the top of the talk page: {{subst:GAN|subtopic=name of the subsection on this page where the article is listed}}. Thank you. --Efe (talk) 09:43, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Ready for another run at adminship?

Figured I'd ask... --Winger84 (talk) 18:31, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks but I think Im not yet ready to handle this gigantic responsibility and I'm afraid I will not be making GAs and FAs after I get overwhelmed by the lots of tasks. =) --Efe (talk) 09:50, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Passed. Congrats! --Efe (talk) 10:01, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
:D Thank you so much. I worked quite hard on that article, and am happy to see it attain GA status. One question though, if I were to take this to FAC, what would need to be improved? The article would need a VERY THOROUGH copyedit (obviously), but would it need more info? Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 11:45, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Welcome. Not very but it needs some light copy editing, I think. For some improvements, I think its broad already but just keep on searching, maybe you'll bump onto some substantial sources. Why don't you try a peer review? --Efe (talk) 05:25, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that's a good idea. I'll keep that in mind. I think I will work on some other articles, and try get it to FA status later. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 06:39, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Wisemen CD Single.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Wisemen CD Single.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 03:12, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Feedback?

Hey, Efe, how's it going? I want to congratulate you on getting "Clocks" to GA. ;) Listen, I've been working on a Coldplay related song and I would like to get your feedback and know if I have everything good on track. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:32, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Real busy. Im on an organization that gets busy when there is a campus event. Anyway, thanks for the congratulation. I think the article is really good, especially that you got lots of talk in the background section and there are already the most important aspects of a song-related article. Maybe you have to bulk up other sections and the music and lyrics is a bit POVic because of the words/phrases like "ambient intro" and "brings an electrifying jolt to the striking piano melody" typical of a song review article. --Efe (talk) 11:54, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Ah, sounds like you are busy. But, I doubt it takes time from you to extend a song article. :P You're welcome, and besides you deserve the credit for getting "Clocks" to GA. Also, I forgot to apologize for not helping you in the article. I sorta got carried away with other stuff. Well, I've been seeing articles like "Clocks", "Crazy in Love", "Deja Vu", and "What Goes Around.../...Comes Around" as examples for the background. Oh, I sorta removed that info. you stated above about the song style sounding POVish... I think. Can you tell me if it reads well. Also, can I get your thoughts on another Coldplay related song? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 21:29, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Seems good too. --Efe (talk) 07:44, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. Stupid question: How do you upload an "ogg"? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:17, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Stupid answer too. I don't know how. Hehe. But as far as uploading in concern, I think you'll just hit the same button: Upload File. However, the audio sample should be of 30 seconds length. I dont know how to do it, do you? --Efe (talk) 06:01, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, very true on the uploading. Is an "ogg" mandatory to include in song articles? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 17:50, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
It depends upon the presentation of the subject. Those files are added to enhance understanding. If its for decorative purposes only, it fails to comply our non-free content criteria. --Efe (talk) 03:48, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Ah, well I would add an "ogg" to Speed of Sound, but I really don't know how to upload an audio for 30 seconds, that's the problem. Also, thanks for fixing some stuff in Speed of Sound. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:02, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Always welcome. You may consult Giggy about uploading audio samples. --Efe (talk) 02:38, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that would be a good idea, due to the fact of how the song somewhat sounds like Clocks, thanks for recommending the idea. :) Hey, if you have free time, do you think you can do a copy-edit on The Scientist? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 02:45, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
I sometimes suck at grammar and I really dont have a good copy edit. But with the unfamiliar subject, maybe it can help me spot some minor glitches. I'll try. BTW, I'll be working on some Coldplay-related articles someday. Hope I'll have the time to do so. --Efe (talk) 02:49, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey, your the music guy I go too. If, you know, a sentence doesn't read right, mainly in my case, everything that's in the article, maybe you can spot in and fix it. That's good news, it saddened me that all the "famous" Coldplay songs weren't written to a full length as other song articles. But, at least there's one Coldplay GA. :P Hey, just throwing an idea out here, maybe we should "collaborate" on Coldplay album, just an idea throwing out there. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 02:56, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

I even have problems with this so I dont know if I can satisfy you. Anyway, I'll try my best. Yah. I have the interest in getting articles to GA status when there are lots of online sources and I got a handful of Coldplay articles. We can collaborate buddy. I am just hoping I'll have the time. Getting busy in school. --Efe (talk) 03:03, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey, I've heard that phrase in which no one is perfect, I think it works here too. :P I certainly am not perfect, per here. Its better to ask someone for a second opinion upon something and that's what I'm doing. :) Now, that I sorta get the handle of what needs to be added in song articles, I'm trying my best to expand that info. to the articles. We sure can be collaborating buddies. ;) No pressure, everyone's busy, everyone has another life outside of Wikipedia, is totally understandable. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:16, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
That's true. Everything we do, it applies. Cheers. --Efe (talk) 00:13, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Yup yup. So, not to go away ahead of myself, but is In My Place done? Cause, I've gone through the article and something seems that is missing. Also, congrats on getting Déjà Vu to FA. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:19, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
That's my third. Thanks. I'll check it later, I still have my class. --Efe (talk) 00:22, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
You should be proud. You beat me by a whole lot. :P Alright, I'll let you go back to your class and I appreciate you looking over IMP. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:30, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Seems ok. All major aspects of the topic are there. Maybe the music video section needs some more. --Efe (talk) 11:27, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

I sorta expanded the video section, still don't know. Alright, the last of me bothering you, how does God Put a Smile upon Your Face look? Also, since the song didn't chart anywhere, what needs to be done about that? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:12, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey, its fine. I can handle your pleases if I have time. I actually dont read it wholly but seeing the major aspects of the subject are there, then it will absolutely pass. =) --Efe (talk) 11:01, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Cool, cause I thought I was bothering you a whole lot. But, I do need some feedback and stuff. ;) Alright, I'll take your word with it. Thank you for being so helpful. :) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 18:32, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Always welcome. --Efe (talk) 05:55, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

I'll try but If I can't, I'll ultimately delete that part. --Efe (talk) 04:07, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
I can't find, for now. I replaced it with the release dates instead. --Efe (talk) 04:26, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Destiny's Child: Destiny Fulfilled edit

Hi Efe,

I saw your edit to Destiny Fulfilled - thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! I do have one question though - in the text you added you say 'The earlier original release was crapped'. It's not really clear to me (and I think to other people as well) what this means. From the source you referenced, I understand that the date of the release was moved to match the first concert of the tour, is this correct?

Regards, Anonymous / 82.156.55.208 (talk) 11:48, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Welcome. I'll try to find the original date for me to properly edit that part and I think the word crap is not appropriate. But the release date was indeed changed ahead. The reason, according to the source, was the threats of internet leaks and cd burning. (P.S., I respect your anonimity but do you have thoughts of making an account? You are better than other anons, and even other established users here). =) --Efe (talk) 11:55, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi Efe - thank you... really appreciate the compliment! I've made a pretty deliberate choice to edit anonymously after editing with an account for some time. I feel it makes me focus more on editing, and less on the inter-personal stuff going on on WP. Anonymous / 82.156.55.208 (talk) 12:26, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Well, it seems being anonymous best fits you. I respect your choice. BTW, please tell me if you have more concerns with my edits. Thank you. --Efe (talk) 12:32, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
I cannot say that isn't a sensible decision :). Sometimes a tad less wiki drama would also be a good thing for me to have. To bad vandalism patrol requires an account with rollback ( Oh, and hi Efe! I hope you don't mind me bumping in here? ) Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 12:35, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
But there are actually advantages of the two choices, although logging in is supreme (with lots of benefits) than otherwise. And I respect his'. (Oh, sure, you're welcome.) --Efe (talk) 12:41, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Well done

Well done on the FA, fingers crossed for Thriller too. — Realist2 03:36, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Well done on the FA, and good luck with future nominations. LuciferMorgan (talk) 12:12, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Hope to have your help again with my future endeavors. Thanks Morgan. --Efe (talk) 12:14, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Congrats on the article. It deserved it. If you ever need anymore help, just let me know. Orane (talk) 04:23, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Sure. Really, thanks a lot. --Efe (talk) 10:54, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Congratulations, nice to see your hard work get the stamp of approval. 86.44.27.188 (talk) 19:49, 12 September 2008 (UTC) formerly 86.44.27.122

Thank you. --Efe (talk) 06:31, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Maybe....

This image might help you for the article you've been working on. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 22:57, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Its too far but it can help though. I spotted some related pics in flickr.com. Here --Efe (talk) 06:00, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Ah, you got a way better image than the one I suggested. I guess that one will do. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 18:34, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Haha, nice. ;) Well, I hope I can get three Coldplay songs to GA. :P Maybe a fourth? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 14:37, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Not for now, I have three: Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, and X&Y. Wanna help? --Efe (talk) 00:13, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Nice. Hmmm, what's the word I'm looking for: Hell yeah, I'll help. What album you wanna work on first? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 17:48, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
I have started all three and I think the first two are in good stand. I am planning to nominate them altogether. --Efe (talk) 06:14, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Alright, I could maybe help out with X&Y, maybe find something about the "U2 similarity". Hey, if A Rush of Blood to the Head, along with In My Place, The Scientist, and God Put a Smile upon Your Face become GA's, couldn't we get them to feature topic? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 14:52, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Of course yes! I'll help you also get the three out in that GAN room. --Efe (talk) 07:43, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Almost done with X&Y. --Efe (talk) 09:30, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Awesome, I'll be waiting for your help. :) The Scientist became GA, all we need is A Rush, In My Place, and God Put a Smile upon Your Face to be GA. Thank you, I was so excited, my first GA song, yay. ;) Man, I give you a whole lot of props with Parachutes, A Rush and X&Y. I wanted to work on X&Y, but I didn't know how or what to add. I need advice, would you recommend nominating a song that came out like 4 months ago or hold off on the nomination a little longer? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 14:39, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Good news, In My Place and God Put a Smile upon Your Face are GA's. :) Now is your turn. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 22:32, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Ok. I'll keep my pace up. --Efe (talk) 05:38, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
I have nominated the three. --Efe (talk) 11:14, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Awesome. I'll try to co-help, if needed. :) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 14:18, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
