Page moves
While I realise that we all make mistakes sometimes, can I ask you to maybe take more care next time you do a page move. Travel Dundee was for some reason moved to National Express Dundee2 (why the 2?). You then tried to correct this, but you moved National Express Dundee2 to National Express Dundeee (with one too many "e"s). I tried to correct this myself my moving it to National Express Dundee, but for some reason that page existed, it was just empty. As a result, I have had to request a administrator to resolve the problem! I have noticed the above page has been created by User:Kentish121. Quite apart from the fact that you haven't been around long enough and don't have nearly enough experience to have a hope in hell of becoming an administrator, there is a much more serious matter.
From the various page moves, and mutual editing of pages, it appears that you and User:Kentish121 are actually the same person (formerly User:Webmaster 1stwordsley).
Wikipedia takes a dim view of sockpuppetry (running more that one account with an intent to deceive), all the more so in RfA cases.
Might I suggest that you take this page to MfD immediately Mayalld (talk) 15:15, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

UK Transport Wiki Template
I'm becoming concerned with the inlining of the UK Transport Wiki boxes, which are being embedded into the main article of some pages such as National Express West Midlands. Unless a reference, external links are to be only added to the bottom of the page, in the references or external links section. Other interwiki boxes such as those of Wiktionary and Wikimedia Commons only add their infoboxes at the bottom. Lastly, WP:ELNO advises Wikis not to be included as external links.
I've removed all but one of the boxes on pages containing more than one box, as I feel it's unnecessary clutter and does not contribute to the article. Please also note that Wikipedia uses the Wikipedia:Nofollow attribute on external links, which does not improve search engine ranks. JameiLei (talk) 10:05, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but I won't be joining; I'm more than tied up here, and won't have time to effectively duplicate my contributions elsewhere, and I think getting the UK transport articles here up to scratch is far more important at this stage than what's essentially a content-fork - quite aside from the GFDL nightmares of posting the same content on two different wikis. Incidentally, rather than posting to every individual user you'd probably be better off posting at WT:RAIL, WT:TUK, WT:LT etc. Good luck with it, though... — iridescent 15:52, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Please note that similar to yours there is already Train Spotting World which has already been set up. But there is nothing wrong with 2, i think.

- I came here to mention TSW as well, but SimplySouth got in first!
- Having been involved with TSW from near the start I can sympathise with your desire for extra contributors. I have noted there that you need a considerable number of highly active editors before the Wiki starts to take any sort of useful shape. If those editors have been 'poached' (or, shall we say more nicely, 'borrowed') from Wikipedia you may well find that they drift back after a while, for the reasons listed by Iridescent. I spend very little time at TSW these days, partly because very few other people visit there either. Also, I have limited online time available, and I feel that my efforts are better spent here.
- Good luck with your Wiki, but remember it's not the only one around, and you are in serious competition for people's time.

However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. - the article was undeleted and prodded after Deletion Review--if you work on it, feel free to remove the prod tag yourself--its not like a speedy tag. But be aware that it will almost certainly be sent to afd without some supporting 3rd party independent reliable published sources, print or online (but not blogs or press releases), and probably even then. It has sometimes been possible to rescue bus route articles by explicit evidence of their significance to the communities served. DGG (talk) 12:48, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Civility
I won't give you the indignity of "templating" you with the standard warning on no personal attacks and maintaining a minimum threshold of civility, but, with reference to your exchanges with User:Richard Harvey (a very courteous and experienced editor IMHO), I would insist that you revisit the aforementioned policies. I'm not too interested in the detail of content dispute as such, but shouting and making threats will lead to you having restrictions placed upon your editting capabilities, I can assure you. Remember, we're all here for more-or-less the same reason; to write and give away a free and near-perfect encyclopedia. Sure we all get frustrated, but the changes you seek are unlikely to be facilitated by being abusive. Hi there. I've pasted over {{utw}} with a template from {{FreeContentMeta}} which does not describe it as "the number 1 [...]", as advertising Wikia projects is not the intention of these templates. The reason I'm notifying you is because you created Template:utw as a redirect to User:Dudleybus/Template:Utw - this is generally bad form as mainspace pages should not use templates in userspace - userspace is kept separate from the encyclopedia. x42bn6 Talk Mess 22:23, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
National Express West Midlands Scania Omnilinks
In regard to the 60x National Express West Midlands Scania Omnilinks due later this year. The following is what I have heard is happening ...
- Walsall routes 301, 311 and 313 = about 25 buses
- West Bromwich routes 404 and 404A = about 15 buses
- Coventry routes 20, 30A, 30C, 40, 50 and 60 = about 15 buses
- Pensnett unknown route(s) = about 5 buses
This still could dramatically change though, its a case of waiting and seeing. Sorry is this disappoints you ;-) BUT apparently another 60x are on order for 2009. Curran1980 (talk) 15:41, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response, I have been given an UPDATE today which is : NXWM are now only having 30x Omnilinks for this year, 15 at Coventry and 15 at West Bromwich .... to get "one up" on competitors Stagecoach and "Red" Diamond. HOWEVER the new 404/404A schedule now needs about 19 vehicles, so it looks like nobody really knows whats happening. I will be removing the unreferenced future allocations on the Wikipedia articles and hope nobody posts it again unless there is a solid reference. Curran1980 (talk) 16:26, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for telling me about this, as I hadn't realised and thought it was a horrible americanisation. I have been thinking about it, and surely if "Line 33" is such a strong brand, then the article should be called something like "Line 33 (National Express West Midlands route)"? I moved it to keep it in line with the standard routes, after all it's not a "Premier route" is it? Another reason I moved it was that it said the link to the UK Transport Wiki was "National Express West Midlands route 33", although I have just discovered this is incorrect. Speedy deletion of Template:... route ...
A tag has been placed on Template:... route ... requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).
