License tagging for File:Boonah Butter Factory Brisbane Courier Wednesday 11 May 1932 page 14.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Boonah Butter Factory Brisbane Courier Wednesday 11 May 1932 page 14.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. File source problem with File:Boonah Butter Factory Brisbane Courier Wednesday 11 May 1932 page 14.JPG[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Boonah Butter Factory Brisbane Courier Wednesday 11 May 1932 page 14.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

1lib1ref[edit]

Are you willing to be included in the Qld "team" for 1Lib1Ref purposes? This means you get listed here (we can attribute you to your own library there) and, perhaps more importantly, at the dashboard which tracks the collaborative effort, both in terms of the obvious metrics (# articles, # edits, etc) but more significantly the impact metric of the number of times an article is viewed after it has been edited by a team member (which demonstrates the multiplier effect of contributing to Wikipedia). Note the dashboard does not update in real-time (there's a lag of some hours to a day before activity works its way onto the dashboard) but it's a great way to report the activity. Kerry (talk) 02:36, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kerry, I'm more than happy to be part of the QLD team for #1lib1ref purposes. Thanks for asking. While I do the majority of editing in my own time, I'm certain the library service I work for would be happy to be represented. There are also a few other Local Studies Librarians who edit. Rescued old draft, now Ageston sugar plantation[edit]

I stumbled upon a 2013 draft article in Article for Creation by a new user; given the date and the contents, it appears to have been written at our Wikipedia edit training session at the Southport Library. It was not well-cited when I found it, but the user name corresponds to the author of a journal paper on the topic so I assume the content is good. I added a bibliography (as there are a number of sources) to demonstrate notability of the topic and published it, but it really needs more inline citations. So if you have a personal/professional interest, please feel free to improve it. I am now going to go and see if there are any other ancient drafts out there. Kerry (talk) 04:56, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Kerry Raymond: That user's contribution would definitely contain sound content. I'm very happy to add inline citations - though it might be a little while before I get to it :) Coastal.culture.vulture (talk) 20:15, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:16, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

1Lib1Ref 2021[edit]

Hi Coastal.culture.vulture

Queensland Memory is participating in Wikipedia’s 1Lib1Ref campaign again this year.

I found your name in the project pages for previous years and wanted to know if you would like to do some editing again this year?

Tania Schafer and I have scheduled 2 pop in sessions in the Edge’s Digital Media Lab, 10am-12noon Thursday 27th May or Wednesday 2nd June but the great thing about Wikipedia is you can do it wherever and whenever suits you! T

If you’re interested in helping us get the number of State Library edits up this year please read the 2021 project page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:GLAM/State_Library_of_Queensland/1Lib1Ref_2021.

Before you get started please sign up to the Dashboard so we can keep track of the number of edits SLQ has made. Or send me your Wiki name I can sign you up.

This year we are focusing on getting our JOL Blogs referenced or added as External Links on relevant Wikipedia pages, I can email you a document for blog content ideas. However if this doesn’t interest you see our project page for other ideas.

Let Tania Schafer or myself know if you have any questions.

Thanks
