This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Trimeroceras, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. An article you recently created, List of sovereign states headed by Charles III, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 05:37, 9 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Peace Dove[edit]

Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialog, peoples rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension.
Happy Holidays. ―Buster7  07:29, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 31[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lophotrochozoa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gnathifera. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:01, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Chaotic Enby. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "2022 monkeypox outbreak by country and territory".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 04:12, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Cladhexea[edit]

Hello, Chaotic Enby,

Thank you for creating Cladhexea.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

You could add a project tag to the talk page of these articles - and there are more sources out there, you could perhaps even add a little more detail?

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Alexandermcnabb}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Alexandermcnabb (talk) 07:54, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! The clade has been coined very recently - by Tessler et al. last December. In the three months since then, there haven't been as far as I know any further publications from the team, which means this is the only source we'd have on the clade per se. I can look if previous publications mentioned Clade VI/species H11, but the bulk of the information will come from Tessler et al. 2022 until further studies on Cladhexea (and Placozoa as a whole) are published. Chaotic Enby (talk) 09:57, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Gebrayelichthys moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Gebrayelichthys. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hey man im josh (talk) 15:42, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Francevillian Biota[edit]

I want to thank you for updating the article Francevillian biota. I've since also updated my article (Francevillian B Formation) with the new information. Rugoconites Tenuirugosus (talk) 08:55, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome! The only articles talking about it were in French (I couldn't find the original publication), so I'm happy that I could help bring the info to the English-speaking world! Chaotic Enby (talk) 10:46, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've seen your most recent edits. I did not mean to say "Why was there an Image alt in the "taxobox"? Also removed completely unnecessary and can be easily served with multiple images." but instead "...Also removed completely unnecessary gallery and can be easily served with less images." Rugoconites Tenuirugosus (talk) 12:32, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I would also like to point out that the saucer shaped fossil on the left in this image looks quite similar to the fossils of the supposedly "new" fossils. I think they are just more specimens of the same, saucer shaped fossil described in this paper from 2014! Although they could just be better preserved remains with internal anatomy. Rugoconites Tenuirugosus (talk) 12:38, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, that makes more sense! The gallery was just a way to replace the old clunky infobox which had 4 images on top of the page, as I didn't want to remove them all, but you're right that they weren't even all needed. Chaotic Enby (talk) 14:02, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You made me laugh so much - thank you! Did you look at the history a bit, 10 years ago? - So, please don't tell me about "no ownership", tell the others, perhaps ;) -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:49, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No need to be mean-spirited - and yes, I did look at the history. You were the one who started this by using the argument that the "main author"'s wishes were final. Also, why reply here rather than on the talk page itself? Chaotic Enby (talk) 15:27, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cameron whitten edit[edit]

Please tell me how my edit was not constructive. This is what Whitten is known for. It is very sensational to be accused of trying to force employees to do drugs and sign false tax documents. It is much more memorable than being an LGBT activist in Portland. 172.58.27.106 (talk) 05:58, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You've been recently trying to add controversial material in the article's lead with potentially undue weight, while hiding it as "reverting vandalism". Please familiarize yourself with edit warring policies and BLP guidelines, as well as WP:ONUS. ChaotıċEnby(talk) 06:03, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I just set up an account so that people can't do vandalizing edits with my IP anymore. i'm not "hiding" my edits. people removed my good edit without any discussion, which to me is vandalism. i am not edit warring any more than the people who are reverting my good edit. and you aren't disputing what i said, just saying that its 'controversial'. Cameron's COO has filed a lawsuit against him for trying to force staff to take drugs and force her to sign false tax documents. that is extremely notable and the fact that everyone keeps removing it completely from the article, rather than at least just moving it down from the lead, makes me wonder what is going on here... Openmicȣnt (talk) 11:15, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is already mentioned outside of the lead from what I understand, and adding controversial material in the lead described as "best known for" often constitutes undue weight. "Edit warring" refers to the specific practice of trying to insert the same changes several times. If different people revert your changes each time, they're not edit warring, but you are. Please familiarize yourself with the definitions at Wikipedia:Vandalism and Wikipedia:Edit warring to have a clear idea of what best to do in the situation.
