Sheet music

Thanks for adding the sheet music analysis Ada :) Novice7 (talk) 10:09, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Well, you're good at sheet music analysis :D Nope, I didn't even search "Beyonce" on Google coz I know the leak thing would come up. I haven't heard the album (and won't be until official release, lol). And, debate??? I was weak in debates, lol. Good night and do well tomorrow (or today, if it's past 12 :P) Novice7 (talk) 10:21, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi Ada! I completed work on Irresistible yesterday... I was wondering if you could suggest a song, whose sample can be uploaded/added to Composition section of the album article?? Is one needed??? Novice7 (talk) 06:43, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

Thanks! I'll add it :) Novice7 (talk) 09:12, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

Japanese Year End

Beyonce and her countless magazine covers of July 2011

Is it worth mentioning in her article that she covers several July 2011 Issue magazines? Jivesh Talk2Me 09:26, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

This is definitely hot. If only, she would talk even a bit about the album in those magazines instead of relating how she spent her holidays. Jivesh Talk2Me 09:29, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
But there are several sources. That's how i found out. she did Essence, W, Vogue, Dazed & Confused. Have you listened to "I Miss You"? My favorite song of the moment. Jivesh Talk2Me 09:45, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
What do you mean by anymore? To which songs have you listened? Jivesh Talk2Me 09:51, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
Goodnight. Jivesh Talk2Me 11:35, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

For archiving Halo links. If I knew how to archive them, I'd do it by myself. Really, thanks. (This file is one of my favorite images on Commons). 04:19, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Yes it is, but I prefer file:Laser_Towards_Milky_Ways_Centre.jpg to be the winner. I do not understand some things on Webcite, and I do not know if I'll have enough patient. ۞ Tbhotch & (ↄ), Problems with my English? 04:35, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
Thank you so much Andrew. ۞ Tbhotch & (ↄ), Problems with my English? 04:46, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi Adabow. So thankful you have renominated this one to GAN. Just saw the reassessment page and it seems nobody answered to the call, so it was delisted. I will help whatever I can in my extra time. Thanks again. --Efe (talk) 13:55, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Well, I did that Confessions thing because I reckon the album's great. Regardless, I like Usher's music. Sure. Welcome. --Efe (talk) 04:23, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
I had already added the details in the singles section. --Efe (talk) 06:52, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
I have incorporate some info I found here. I think its nice. An analysis on the album's performance in relation to its singles. Meanwhile, I think this one too is great though I have not read its entirety. --Efe (talk) 13:44, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Oh yes but to be frank i did not really understand the concept, especially the relation between a prom queen and a wedding scene????? Jivesh Talk2Me 10:28, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Countdown

Hi. How is it possible that "Countdown" by Beyonce which has not had any type of release yet debuts on the US R&B chart at number 75? How is it possible? Jivesh Talk2Me 17:49, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Did you know?

Hey Adabow. I am currently working on the Countdown (Beyoncé Knowles song) article, and I was thinking about nominating the article for DYK but I am unsure as to how I would nominate it or even if the article is eligible for it! Haha. I was thinking of submitting the fact: "Beyoncé Knowles' first tour was an opening act with Destiny's Child for Boyz II Men fifteen years ago."

Do you think that would make sense or should be re-worded? Or if it even constitutes as a DYK. Please let me know whenever you get the time :] Theuhohreo (talk) 19:03, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

Halfway Gone

Halfway Gone, an article in which you reviewed and subsequently passed for GA, has been selected for WP:GAR. There are many issues within the article that do not warrant it's current status as a GA. I'm loving "Schoolin' Life" and "Dance For You". Its so old school and the photos are amazing! But theres no exclusive video for "Run the World (Girls)" :/ Maybe its only the US. The full credits are on Beyonce's website. Would like your help :) Ozurbanmusic (talk) 01:05, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

The video will be activated on July 1, 2011. Jivesh Talk2Me 08:05, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
4 arrived today. :) "Countdown" should be released. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:00, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

"I Care", "Rather Die Young", "Party", "Love On Top", "End of Time", "Countdown", "Schoolin' Life", "Dance For You" & "Run the World" are my favs on the album. Yeah we all got the Heat sample..lol. Ozurbanmusic (talk) 05:53, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Are you kidding me? "Countdown" is the best! I hoped it was the next single but Beyonce's going with "End of Time". I cannnot stop watching her Glastonbury performances. EPIC! Ozurbanmusic (talk) 06:50, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Lol Ozurbanmusic (talk) 07:20, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
You don't like "I Was Here"? Lol, its the only one I love!--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 01:25, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
It's the song i hate the most. Seems completely out of place. Beyonce should release that song on an album after her 40s. Well, i do not hate it completely. I will give it a 7 on 10. Jivesh Talk2Me 16:48, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi Ada :) So I asked a user Alexsander for permission to use this photo and he has. He wants me to credit him as the author. As Mags is gone :( (he usually knows what to do), can you help me? I don't know how to upload it with those specifics. Also, can we crop his name off the bottom? Thanks :D--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 01:24, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Okay :) Perfect I'll Ask him to change that and let you know! Oh yes, "I Was Here" is the best from that album 100% While there are other listenable tracks, none of them stand out as hits at all :( lets see where the album goes!--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 00:21, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi. I was actually thinking to bring this one to GAR but maybe you're interested to look into it. hehe. Thanks. --Efe (talk) 13:45, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Don't Let It Get You (film)

Hi, I saw you contributed cast info. Do you know how to fix the title for this film? Currently it has "to" inserted into the title which is incorrect, but I have no idea how to fix it. Martin Blythe (talk) 03:40, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Glastonbury

Did ya see her? :) She kicked ass! — Legolas (talk2me) 09:16, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

My favorite part was when they were showing Jay-Z's face during SL, and he kept looking towards Gwyneth Paltrow. I was like "what? dats ur bee-bee performing! look over dere!". Also, BTINH is quickly becoming my favorite from the album (previously it was "Countdown"). And I still love "Party" though. Btw, she's projected for over 400K, which I'm totally surprised I must admit! — Legolas (talk2me) 09:25, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
Not gonna watch it. We're only at the second season here :). I only heard the songs because I got the standard versions. I wasn't that impressed with the RTWG remixes though. "Party Rock Anthem" is really generic isn't it? So is "Give Me Everything". I really love the beginning of "I Was Here", the guitar intro and then the small tabla beats in the middle. My most disliked song on the album is still "1+1" though. :) I heard that she included "Telephone" in the medley, but surprisingly did not see it in the televised version. Did ya see it? — Legolas (talk2me) 09:34, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
I really like "Someone Like You". Best song from 21 I feel, along with "Set Fire to the Rain". Oh its 30 second, well I'll watch it then. Ya come to think of it, "I Was Here" does remind of "Save the Hero". They showed Glastonbury on VH1 here, so I caught it. And god at Kathy Beth Terry. That gurl is just unstoppable! Within three weeks she has 63 million airplay. Bey's rising nicely too. BTINH is at 26 million now. — Legolas (talk2me) 09:48, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
Hmmmmm Mr. Legolas is surprised. That's what we call SLAYONCE. Jivesh Talk2Me 09:57, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
(Ignoring ^) Well these are exactly the five songs I love from TD, hate the rest. Yes you should get 21, its really is such a refreshing album. Can you believe that I have listened to 21 almost as many times as BTW? Ugh, I just checked, "PRA" is almost going to reach 100 million AI, I mean, c'mon! I refuse to give any respect to a group who is name LMFAO, don't you think? — Legolas (talk2me) 10:01, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
Keep ignoring my dear. I have also ignored the discussion you were having with Unik. So Beyonce is "fake and inorganic"? And she is running to her daddy crying because the album is certified to flop. And "Kelly is snatching her wig"? I always knew this album was not going to flop because i visit a forum from where i get very reliable information (even if it is a forum). Just like Beyonce says in BTINH "What goes around, comes back around around." And this is just my opinion, no need to take it as if i want to have a fight with you or what. Jivesh Talk2Me 10:07, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
I still say she's inorganic, can you do anything about it? And yeah, singles wise, Kelly is snatching her wig now. Oh, and I'm ignoring you trying to be a stan, not you. — Legolas (talk2me) 10:19, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
Okay Legolas. I will stop being a stan (on Wikipedia when you are around. LOL) but before i go, i would like to post something i saw elsewhere:

B's haters are the most creative people ever. Now that it is clear that 4 is not a flop here are the new arguments:

  • no hit singles from 4
  • BTINH is a flop ... so many songs are doing better even if their albums are no slaying.
  • she is only doing well abroad and her number ones abroad don't matter.

etc...

Don't worry, i am not implying you in this post in any way.

Jivesh Talk2Me 11:11, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Erm, 4 is topping practically all countries iTunes atm. BTINH has already hit #1 on the UK iTunes chart, with TWENTY other entries on the chart. And 4 is outselling the current top 3 combined, so it's gunna hit #1 on sunday. Calvin 999 17:30, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

4 Certifications

Andrew, don't you think its better to wait for the Brazil and Portugal certification website to update the certi rather than use this? I mean there have been cases when even Billboard has been wrong about it. One eg I remember is Madonna's Hard Candy when Paul Sexton from Billboard reported that Hard Candy went platinum in UK, whereas BPI still certified it gold. He meant platinum sales I guess since Hard Candy sold over 300K. Another recent example being Rolling Stone claiming BTW went platinum in Poland and US, but I'm yet to see it being reflected in ZPAV and RIAA. Take your call. — Legolas (talk2me) 09:58, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

WikiCup 2011 June newsletter

We are half way through 2011, and entering the penultimate round of this year's WikiCup; the semi-finals are upon us! Points scored in the interim (29/30 June) may be counted towards next round, but please do not update your submissions' pages until the next round has begun. 16 contestants remain, and all have shown dedication to the project to reach this far. Our round leader was Scotland Casliber (submissions) who, among other things, successfully passed three articles through featured article candidates and claimed an impressive 29 articles at Did You Know, scoring 555 points. Casliber led pool D. Pool A was led by Ohio Wizardman (submissions), claiming points for a featured article, a featured list and seven good article reviews, while pool C was led by Norway Eisfbnore (submissions), who claimed for two good articles, ten articles at Did You Know and four good article reviews. They scored 154 and 118 respectively. Pool B was by far our most competitive pool; six of the eight competitors made it through to round 4, with all of them scoring over 100 points. The pool was led by Zanzibar Hurricanehink (submissions), who claimed for, among other things, three featured articles and five good articles. In addition to the four pool leaders, 12 others (the four second places, and the 8 next highest overall) make up our final 16. The lowest scorer who reached round 4 scored 76 points; a significant increase on the 41 needed to reach round 3. Eight of our semi-finalists scored at least twice as much as this.

No points were awarded this round for featured pictures, good topics or In the News, and no points have been awarded in the whole competition for featured topics, featured portals or featured sounds. Instead, the highest percentage of points has come from good articles. Featured articles, despite their high point cost, are low in number, and so, overall, share a comparable number of points with Did You Know, which are high in number but low in cost. A comparatively small but still considerable number of points come from featured lists and good article reviews, rounding out this round's overall scores.

We would again like to thank United Kingdom Jarry1250 (submissions) and Bavaria Stone (submissions) for invaluable background work, as well as all of those helping to provide reviews for the articles listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Please do keep using it, and please do help by providing reviews for the articles listed there. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews generally at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup.

Two final notes: Firstly, please remember to state your participation in the WikiCup when nominating articles at FAC. Finally, some WikiCup-related statistics can be seen here and here, for those interested, though it appears that neither are completely accurate at this time. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. J Milburn and The ed17 23:25, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi Ada!

How are you??? Happy for Bey, eh?? I never thought the album would become this successful :O To Jivesh: Calm down buddy. We all have different tastes in music... Honestly, I didn't like IASF and 4 is just okay (better than IASF though). Novice7 (talk) 11:11, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Engineering school has not started yet (will probably start by August first week). Yeah, I love the album too and I'm happy for her. I'm also happy for Jill Scott and her first number one album The Light of the Sun. Yes!! BTINH is catchy :) It took time to grow on me! Wow, I'm glad to hear from you :) I missed you guys a lot (you don't know how much I missed Wiki and you guys *cries* lol). Novice7 (talk) 04:34, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Lol, I am online atm stalking all of you :P Scott is neo soul, so I don't know if you would like her or not. You can check out :) I'm in love with TGIF btw. Who thought Rebecca Black would become this famous :O Novice7 (talk) 04:41, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
I love both the song and the video. Wow, lol, Rebecca is hot, but isn't she a bit fat?? Novice7 (talk) 10:18, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
As time passes by... I'm sure she'll face the pressure too (like Mariah Carey, like Britney Spears, like Christina Aguilera) :) Novice7 (talk) 10:26, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

Best Thing I Never Had

I took a look at the composition, its wonderful. The chords are actually perfect. But remember, when you use musicnotes, don't use the url in the reference. Musicnotes.com is to be kept as a treelink per an extensive discussion at WP:RSN.
