Kishtwar word in urdu Or hindi

Hello bro why you every time remove kishtwar written in hindi what's your problem? 117.98.96.230 (talk) 11:15, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Thankyou for checking, I have changed it to Kashmiri language which is the native language and used by majority in Kishtwar. signed, 511KeV (talk) 16:22, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

So what you wanna say kashmiri superiority in this region, for your information hindu dogras also live in kishtwar so it's our right to write kishtwar in hindi and second thing kashmiri people are refugees who migrated from South kashmir to kishtwar in 17 18 century and kashmiri is spoken by muslim community, so what you wanna say hindu community have no rights on this area, our forefathers lived here from ancient period it's our right to revive our culture and our script . Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 18:17, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Kishtwar is duggar land remember that! Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 18:19, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Kishtwari is our language it was written in dogri script (takri script) and remember that kishtwari is not a dialect of kashmiri, before 18 century it was full pahadi language but after kashmiri settled here through there infulence some kashmiri words mixed with kishtwari , even today you can see pahadi words in kishtwari Example Marriage in kishtwari is called byah which is pahadi word Engagement is called kourmai in kishtwari which is a pahadi word Dawaat in kishtwari is called thaam / dhaam in kishtwari which are pahadi words So it's our language we have right to edit our language kishtwari is not spoken by you it's spoken by us! Famous linguist sideshwar verma has also argued that Kishtwari is not a Kashmiri dialect Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 18:32, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Dear user, don't be offended. I have just changed it as i thought that it can be helpful for the majority and owing its similarity to Kashmiri language. I never said anything about superiority, of which you are alleging me, neither have i said anything about Hindu community. Kindly keep a friendly tone and use your words carefully, we are not here to divide people. We are here to build an encyclopaedia. You have specifically used name of two communities, Kindly refrain from doing such things in future. For now, per WP:NOINDICSCRIPT, I will be removing it. Keep Cool and Happy Editing. signed, 511KeV (talk) 04:18, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

I just want to say about 40℅ of hindus live in kishtwar so it's our right to write kishtwar in hindi 40℅ is not less, if you are talking about secularism so why don't you write kishtwar both in hindi and urdu Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 05:23, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

If we write kishtwar both in hindi and urdu it will be good for both communities, I'm not Dividing anyone I was just talking about the fact Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 05:29, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

@Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai, First of all let me make it clear, I have not added urdu text, it is Kashmiri. Secondly, The page itself states that Kashmiri is spoken by (44.60%) of the people making it the largest spoken language followed by Kishtwar language (20.67%). Dogri (10.03%).
Hindi (1.31%). It was the criteria that i used for the change. It's not about which community lives there. It is about what they speak in the district. Have a look at the page first, you will get it. signed, 511KeV (talk) 05:59, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

Ok then if we add kishtwari +dogri +bhaderwahi +padri +siraji +hindi +others it becomes 45%

(20.67%)+
(7.44%)
(10.03%)
  (1.31%)
 (1.25%)
 (4.34)

Then it means another majority of 45% doesnt know how to read and write kashmiri Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 06:08, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

So kashmiri speaking community are 44% and other language speaking community including gojri are 59℅ so it means majority of people living in kishtwar don't know how to read and write kashmiri Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 06:11, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

Are you really forming an alliance with other languages to show Kashmiri language is in minority. Now, I strictly feel that we should follow Wikipedia:NOINDICSCRIPT. So i will be removing the text in any language. If you disagree with it post a message on the talkpage of that page. Thankyou. signed, 511KeV (talk) 06:23, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

the truth is always bitter, I provided the fact that majority of kishtwar don't know how to read and write kashmiri and you are getting offended, my opinion is write kishtwar both in hindi and urdu so the people can feel comfortable to read Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 06:34, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

Thankyou for your advice, but i feel to follow the policy and remove both languages. I don't hold a grudge against you as your were funny in the comments. Thankyou and Happy editing. signed, 511KeV (talk) 06:40, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

Thank you for the reply but i will write kishtwar in both languages . Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 06:46, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

And one thing more I want to say wikipedia is not only one source for information we can also get information from othe r platforms too kishtwar page on wikipedia is just a propaganda ! Bye now I will never edit anything on wikipedia, now you can do anything as you want , now you can write kishtwar is in kashmir region anything as you want, have a good day! Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 06:55, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

@Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai Ah! It is really disappointing to hear that brother. Wikipedia thrives by pointing some objections and clearing them with reliable sources. I don't have the authority here to remove your every edit. I want to guide you to the positive contributions. If you felt that the page is a propaganda page which i don't think it is, you can edit it but provide reliable sources to support your claims. No one will then revert your changes. Change content without summaries, adding content without reference will be removed. I suggest you to edit pages, in which you can provide sources.
You can always get hep from experiencced editors at Teahouse. They will guide you how to edit. I hope you will stay and be a positive contributor. Thankyou signed, 511KeV (talk) 07:05, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

No i dont want to be a editor on wikipedia anymore I was talking about the right fact that majority of kishtwar don't know how to read and write kashmiri , only for them I was writting kishtwar in hindi but some editors like you always prefer kashmiri superiority and always delete my changes, so i decided to leave this platform. Im not giving hate to my kashmiri brothers I love them i was just talking about the fact. Jarnail zoravar singh ki jai (talk) 07:12, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

If you have made the mind to leave, I won't force you to stay as we all here are volunteers. However, If you stay, I will suggest you to Get help at the Teahouse in case you find your edits are being reverted or removed. signed, 511KeV (talk) 07:33, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

Burglar signs RM

For this RM, could you explain why you found consensus for a plural rather than singular title? BD2412 and I both supported moving to a singular title, and the nominator was also agreeable to a singular title. The only participant who supported the originally proposed "Burglar signs" title was SnowFire (and they never commented after the issue of WP:NCPLURAL was raised). Colin M (talk) 15:14, 21 April 2022 (UTC)

@Colin M Thankyou for pointing out this. It seems i have missed it. I saw a clear consensus to move this page to Singular title, but somehow s was added to it. I accept the addition of S was an error. I think it is due to copying the title page (which i usually do after forming an opinion about a RM) and missing to remove the s. I will try to fix it and move it to the correct state. Thankyou. signed, 511KeV (talk) 15:43, 21 April 2022 (UTC)

Hellp me brother... hello.. I don't know why and what is the problem but some people's or like a group of people's are constantly deleting the page of this person name infact of having proper references and they are like just waiting someone to make a page on this entity and they all will become active and delete the page of this entity without any reason also this person and it's not like that this person is equally famous in India and Gujarat as "Strongest Man of Gujarat" and he is one of the indian team players please help me with this brother or edit summary of the page. Indian Powerlifter Varun Pradip Dave (talk) 11:49, 27 April 2022 (UTC)

@Indian Powerlifter Varun Pradip Dave The article you are inquiring about has been deleted recently from various wiki's for different reasons. It was deleted from English wikipedia for multiple reasons: The speedy deletion criteria that applied to the article were WP:G5 created by a user who has been recently banned, WP:G11 promotional in tone and , WP:G12 copyright violation.
The creation of this page has been protected now, that means users from Adminstrators Usergroup can only create it. If you want to create the page again. You cannot create the page directly. Try WP:AFC if you think the subject is notable.
From simple wiki, it was deleted after a deletion discussion where editors concluded the article is not notable. The discussion can be viewed Here
Hope that solves the problem. signed, 511KeV (talk) 12:15, 27 April 2022 (UTC)

I found out that the 3+ oxidation state of iron(III) perchlorate is called iron triperchlorate instead, so I edited the disambiguation page to be a redirect. Since it now does not satisfy the deletion criteria, may you remove the "delete because" tag? Thanks, CactiStaccingCrane (talk) 15:50, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

@CactiStaccingCrane Thanks for the change. The deletion tag has been removed by other editor. Happy Editing. signed, 511KeV (talk) 16:17, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

Request on 14:03:55, 13 May 2022 for assistance on AfC submission by HBARBARIANS

The Hash Axis page I submitted which is full of facts about the organization regarding the development, grants awarded, founder and date of inception were flagged and page deleted. I'd like to better understand why that occurred. The format was similar to opensea but that page is live.

HBARBARIANS (talk) 14:03, 13 May 2022 (UTC)

@HBARBARIANS Thankyou for checking back. The draft was declined because it read like an advertisement. Wikipedia is not a place to advertise about any subject. There are strict rules against content that is promotional or advertising in tone. The drafts should be neutral in tone, without any advertisement, about a notable subject and backed by reference from reliable sources. Also, do not post your contact number here. The discussion is public and can be seen by anyone. Hope that explains it. Happy Editing. signed, 511KeV (talk) 14:55, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback. I'll take another crack at it to make it more 'neutral'. I did include quite a few references from reliable sources so hope that was the only issue. ~~~~ HBARBARIANS (talk) 21:24, 13 May 2022 (UTC)

New Page Patrol newsletter May 2022

New Page Review queue March 2022

Hello 511KeV,

At the time of the last newsletter (No.26, September 2021), the backlog was 'only' just over 6,000 articles. In the past six months, the backlog has reached nearly 16,000, a staggering level not seen in several years. A very small number of users had been doing the vast majority of the reviews. Due to "burn-out", we have recently lost most of this effort. Furthermore, several reviewers have been stripped of the user right for abuse of privilege and the articles they patrolled were put back in the queue.

Several discussions on the state of the process have taken place on the talk page, but there has been no action to make any changes. The project also lacks coordination since the "position" is vacant.

In the last 30 days, only 100 reviewers have made more than 8 patrols and only 50 have averaged one review a day. There are currently 813 New Page Reviewers, but about a third have not had any activity in the past month. All 859 administrators have this permission, but only about a dozen significantly contribute to NPP.

This means we have an active pool of about 450 to address the backlog. We cannot rely on a few to do most of the work as that inevitably leads to burnout. A fairly experienced reviewer can usually do a review in a few minutes. If every active reviewer would patrol just one article per day, the backlog would very quickly disappear.

If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, do suggest they help the effort by placing {{subst:NPR invite}} on their talk page.

If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.

New Page Patrol newsletter June 2022

New Page Review queue June 2022

Hello 511KeV,

Backlog status

At the time of the last newsletter (No.27, May 2022), the backlog was approaching 16,000, having shot up rapidly from 6,000 over the prior two months. The attention the newsletter brought to the backlog sparked a flurry of activity. There was new discussion on process improvements, efforts to invite new editors to participate in NPP increased and more editors requested the NPP user right so they could help, and most importantly, the number of reviews picked up and the backlog decreased, dipping below 14,000[a] at the end of May.

Since then, the news has not been so good. The backlog is basically flat, hovering around 14,200. I wish I could report the number of reviews done and the number of new articles added to the queue. But the available statistics we have are woefully inadequate. The only real number we have is the net queue size.[b]

In the last 30 days, the top 100 reviewers have all made more than 16 patrols (up from 8 last month), and about 70 have averaged one review a day (up from 50 last month).

While there are more people doing more reviews, many of the ~730 with the NPP right are doing little. Most of the reviews are being done by the top 50 or 100 reviewers. They need your help. We appreciate every review done, but please aim to do one a day (on average, or 30 a month).

Backlog drive

A backlog reduction drive, coordinated by buidhe and Zippybonzo, will be held from July 1 to July 31. Sign up here. Barnstars will be awarded.

TIP – New school articles

Many new articles on schools are being created by new users in developing and/or non-English-speaking countries. The authors are probably not even aware of Wikipedia's projects and policy pages. WP:WPSCH/AG has some excellent advice and resources specifically written for these users. Reviewers could consider providing such first-time article creators with a link to it while also mentioning that not all schools pass the GNG and that elementary schools are almost certainly not notable.

Misc

There is a new template available, {{NPP backlog}}, to show the current backlog. You can place it on your user or talk page as a reminder:

Very high unreviewed pages backlog: 9454 articles, as of 22:00, 24 May 2024 (UTC), according to DatBot

There has been significant discussion at WP:VPP recently on NPP-related matters (Draftification, Deletion, Notability, Verifiability, Burden). Proposals that would somewhat ease the burden on NPP aren't gaining much traction, although there are suggestions that the role of NPP be fundamentally changed to focus only on major CSD-type issues.

Reminders
  • Consider staying informed on project issues by putting the project discussion page on your watchlist.
  • If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, suggest they help the effort by placing {{subst:NPR invite}} on their talk page.
  • If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.
  • To opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself here.
Notes
  1. ^ not including another ~6,000 redirects
  2. ^ The number of weekly reviews reported in the NPP feed includes redirects, which are not included in the backlog we primarily track.

New Page Patrol newsletter August 2022

New Page Review queue August 2022

Hello 511KeV,

Backlog status

After the last newsletter (No.28, June 2022), the backlog declined another 1,000 to 13,000 in the last week of June. Then the July backlog drive began, during which 9,900 articles were reviewed and the backlog fell by 4,500 to just under 8,500 (these numbers illustrate how many new articles regularly flow into the queue). Thanks go to the coordinators Buidhe and Zippybonzo, as well as all the nearly 100 participants. Congratulations to Dr vulpes who led with 880 points. See this page for further details.

Unfortunately, most of the decline happened in the first half of the month, and the backlog has already risen to 9,600. Understandably, it seems many backlog drive participants are taking a break from reviewing and unfortunately, we are not even keeping up with the inflow let alone driving it lower. We need the other 600 reviewers to do more! Please try to do at least one a day.

Coordination
MB and Novem Linguae have taken on some of the coordination tasks. Please let them know if you are interested in helping out. MPGuy2824 will be handling recognition, and will be retroactively awarding the annual barnstars that have not been issued for a few years.
Open letter to the WMF
The Page Curation software needs urgent attention. There are dozens of bug fixes and enhancements that are stalled (listed at Suggested improvements). We have written a letter to be sent to the WMF and we encourage as many patrollers as possible to sign it here. We are also in negotiation with the Board of Trustees to press for assistance. Better software will make the active reviewers we have more productive.
TIP - Reviewing by subject
Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages by their most familiar subjects can do so from the regularly updated sorted topic list.
New reviewers
The NPP School is being underused. The learning curve for NPP is quite steep, but a detailed and easy-to-read tutorial exists, and the Curation Tool's many features are fully described and illustrated on the updated page here.
