About Me [edit]

I am an alumnus of the University of California at San Diego in the beautiful Golden State. I am interested in a variety of things some include politics, religion, science, mathematics, photography and of course, Wikipedia!

I started using Wikipedia a very long time ago, making a sizable number of edits in my early days. I signed up for an account in June 2006, and recorded my first official edit using this account on June 16, 2006. I did not immediately use the account very often. I mostly made edits anonymously until much later during that year, at which point I began making a very large number of edits during December 2006. This period of heavy involvement in Wikipedia lasted for several months. However, it was somewhat short-lived, as I virtually disappeared from the site between May 2007 and March 2008. I finally returned in a meaningful fashion at the end of March, quickly establishing myself through numerous edits, particularly in designing templates. Only time will tell how long I continue this stay and what I am able to contribute in that period.

Contributions [edit]

I am a fairly new Wikipedian on the scene, however I do have some contributions that I am proud of.

  • NHL Playoffs Template — I have worked with this template over the 2007 and 2008 NHL Playoffs, and it was in 2008 that I finally came up with a template that was able to significantly cut down on size while providing to be a very useful resource for use in the playoffs articles. This is definitely one of the more challenging projects as it appears that editors in the ice hockey WikiProject are pretty difficult to please.
  • NBA Playoffs Template — I began working on this template as an adaption of the NHL template I had finally finished refining in the midst of the 2008 NHL Playoffs. I started on this template early in the first round of the 2008 NBA Playoffs and worked pretty tirelessly to switch over to this one before the playoffs race got too deep. I ended up with quite a lot of rework on this template, ending up with something entirely different from the NHL Playoffs template upon finally moving it from my user space to the Wikipedia main space. I'm sure there is still stuff I can do with this one, but it is a lot more refined than what I first came up with when first creating the NHL playoffs template in 2007.
  • 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs — I am a fairly big fan of the NHL, and especially the San Jose Sharks. I am a fairly large contributor to this article so far. One large contribution I made was redesigning the organization of the information of both individual series and individual games in comparison to formats used previously. I also created a new template for Ice Hockey games. It is located here. Later on, I did a second redesign, where I created a new series summary table that includes an expandable feature to include the game summary right below each game score. This both helped in saving space, and the actual usability and organization of the page, as well as being much easier to look at. The new template is located here.
  • American High School (Fremont, California) — it would be really nice to get this one to FA some day, seems unlikely though, as it is only a school. This article is one of the first things I worked on when I joined Wikipedia. I am currently in the works on a complete reorganization and rewrite of many sections to add appropriate and referenced material.
  • Gomes Elementary School — it is pretty much the only elementary school I have developed as of yet. It is actually in fairly good shape, and my hope is to bring up all the other schools within the category of Fremont Unified School District up to the same level at the very least.
  • Fremont Unified School District — pretty much everything within this category has been added and maintain by me. It is very much a work in progress, but I envision that one day it will be a really nice compilation.
  • Mission Valley Athletic League — another small addition that encompasses the scope of the Fremont high schools as well as high schools from Newark and Union City.
  • Fremont Gurdwara — I have pretty much just started on this one. It will quite a bit of work once I really start working on it though.

Major Edit in Progress

  • American High School: I have been working on a complete rewrite for this article that will reorganize the information and make sure that the information present is completely sourced. I have been doing research in the California Department of Education database as well as within documents on school performance provided by the district in addition to news articles contain information about the school. What I have done so far is located here.
