Newbie Stuff[edit]
Rule #1, Don't Panic. It is notable and relevant for newbies to consider that Wikipedia may someday be a compendium of all knowledge available in the Galactic Empire, intended to preserve that knowledge in a remote region of the Galaxy in the event of a galactic catastrophe. Eventually Wikipedia may become the basis for an Encyclopaedia Galactica. I wouldn't be surprised if it is later revealed to be an element in an act of misdirection, its real purpose being to concentrate a group of knowledgeable and extremely hard working scientists, editors, and administrators on a remote, soon to be resource-poor planet, with the long-term aim of revitalizing the technologically stagnant and scientifically dormant Empire. :)
While non-article Wikipedia material such as reasonable Wikipedia humor (see Newbie Stuff, Rule #1), and/or essays, perspectives, personal philosophy, opinions, or comments on Wikipedia matters are acceptable to a limited extent in User space, avoid writing speculative information in the Article namespace (or Mainspace). Please read all of the help sections below, and don't be afraid to ask someone while you are learning the ropes...
