I am Senior Lecturer in Linguistics, in the Centre for Language in Social Life, at Macquarie University, in Sydney. I am interested in functional linguistics, and particularly in systemic functional linguistics, which has a wide range of real world applications. I teach both undergraduate and postgraduate linguistics courses.

Since the above mentioned blog is no longer important, it is maybe good to link to the "Conversation", which seems to me quite interesting regarding Linguistics and all day politics.
