Contestant Table[edit]

I've edited the table a little and went ahead and submitted it so people would actually see it and come to the talk page. I'm not sure which one I like better, but I was trying to make it easier to read because the current one is hard on the eyes! Anyway I added two NEW tables; One completely redone and the other is almost the exact same, just adding some "breakers". Please comment which one you like better.CCamp2013 (talk) 12:09, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm actually quite impressed with the reworking, and it makes much better, more efficient use of the available space. The only suggestion I'd have, and it's mostly based on how I'm making notes in Excel is to number the sequences continuously within each segment (e.g. 1-24 through the battles, etc.) Nonetheless, quite good work. I'm not a fan of the "advanced to the next round" coloring. Not only is that section completely pointless, the color is also unappealing to the eyes, lol. FaceOffTournament (talk) 05:41, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The Advance to the next round was only intended to last until the Live Shows started. Now that they have started there is no point for that to be there. CCamp2013 (talk) 05:24, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Absurdist1968 please further explain what you mean by the 1-24 thing. I didn't quite understand. Or show an example? CCamp2013 (talk) 03:33, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! How are y'all doing? I don't know how much my opinion counts here, because I'm basically a viewer and not a major contributor of the page, but I didn't like the new table. Besides its weirdness (I mean,there's a cross in the middle of the table), the new table is bad to compare the team's member's elimination history. The old one is better, once you could see the names right above each other. It's easier to read. --Phill ad (talk) 02:50, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
CCamp2013: It may not be particularly sensible for you, but what I did on my statistical tables was to number all the battles chronologically and contiguously, so that, for example, the Battle between Tayler Phelan and Jordy Searcy would be numbered 7 instead of 1, Damien and Kelli Douglas would be 13, and so forth. Same with the knockouts. Beyond that it really doesn't make any difference, so it's mostly just cosmetic; just numbering all the performances consecutively within each stage of the competition. Since the episodes are already constructed into the table, restarting the sequence each episode is another layer of sequence. Absurdist1968 (talk) 05:41, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Absurdist1968, Oh okay! I understand what you mean now. Personally, I like it being numbered how it is because the order is suppose to mean when they sang on "that" episode.. Not the order collectively. However, I haven't decided whether I care if its the way you want it or not. I think Ill need other opinions before I change it, but it more people agree, I have no problem changing it.CCamp2013 (talk) 06:34, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
CCamp2013: I don't know that it merits much discussion in the larger scheme of things; it's a minor point, and really, what you've developed shouldn't need to be reconfigured for my quibble, but thanks for considering my suggestion. Absurdist1968 (talk) 06:48, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@CCamp2013: "However, I haven't decided whether I care if its the way you want it or not." - Who died and made you boss?
There's no need for your new table, and IMO it's not aesthetically pleasing at all. The cross in the middle is weird, and the fact that "Coach" and "Artists" has to be written twice is not good. There's no need to fix something that isn't broken. ~ Totaldramaman (talk · contribs) 04:05, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Totaldramaman, If you would have read the conversation better you would understand what I was saying when I said, "However, I haven't decided whether I care if its the way you want it or not." We were not talking about the same table you are talking about with the cross, we are talking about an episode recap table. Please make sure you understand the conversation before you attack my statements. Thanks, CCamp2013 (talk) 03:54, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@CCamp2013: If you would have read my reply better you would understand that the two things I said are completely different things, hence the line break. Please make sure you understand my reply before you try to correct me. Thanks, Totaldramaman (talk · contribs) 04:15, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@CCamp2013: You say to see here but this decision hasn't even been resolved yet because you being all self-righteous think your idea should be used so replying isn't even feasible for you. Your idea, imo, sucks and there's absolutely NO reason for it. It's one bad idea, I'm sure you'll get over it. ~ Totaldramaman (talk · contribs) 01:15, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@CCamp2013: Sorry, I couldn't agree more with Totaldramaman. --Phill ad (talk) 02:17, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Totaldramaman: I have replied to you. i stopped replying to you when you became idiotic and starting being dramatic. Your username really does suit you. I'm not going to fight with someone on here. It's immature and so is your undoing the edit when a consensus hasn't even been reached. There has been TWO people against it and three (including myself) for it. Also, make sure you read the terms on Wikipedia about attacking other users. You have been crossing the line. CCamp2013 (talk) 05:11, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Large Revert[edit]

I did a fairly large revert to an older version of the page, reverting edits by multiple users/ips that appeared to be vandalism/added unverifiable information. The edits made by the following ips: 93.81.227.245, 123.119.148.132, 67.168.124.143, 71.10.148.155, 112.207.10.18, and the user TheVoiceOfficial2014 seemed to be works of vandalism/original research, adding incorrect or simply unverifiable information to the page. The edits by 203.87.187.242 which were also reverted appear to have been in good faith to fix some of these vandalism, but reverting to the older version of the page negates the need for those edits. 97.100.170.196 (talk) 14:21, 8 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
