Talk:Splinter (band)

The current article is littered with POV. Here is one example of many - "And the obstacles continue to this day - while it is widely agreed that The Place I Love is a significant album deserving of release on CD, it is owned by the Harrison Estate who show no signs of reviving it. Thus, sadly, Splinter's excellent songwriting and singing that so impressed Harrison in 1973 are not generally available."

Without any referencing it reads more like a fansite than an encyclopedic item. Can someone with a critical Wikipedia editor's eye, and knowledge of the subject matter, please improve the situation ? Thank you,

Ten months on - that would unfortunately appear to be me. I am far from happy that this now represents a balanced, neutral but true critique of Splinter. However, without further input from elsewhere at this stage, perhaps it is as good as it gets !

Bill Elliott[edit]

I just discovered Bill Elliott had a much longer tie to Apple Records. He was a member of the ad hoc 1971 Lennon/Ono imaginative protest band "Elastic Oz Band" which released just one single record: "God save us". This information is hidden in the article on Oz (magazine), and may perhaps better be put in a separate article. 83.87.140.201 (talk) 00:54, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
